  1. They are both very good. They are not all that much different. the XXIO7 also features a forged Ti face and both use maraging bodies. Both are made for great feel and ease of use and distance. The XXIO Forged is a bit smaller and more pear shaped and aimed at the improving player/mid capper or experienced senior while XXIO 7 is still for the average golfer. I have not tested the XXIO Forged yet as our demos don't come for another month but the XXIO 7 is very good as you know with the irons.
  2. Added our first set of custom MP-33's to the first post!
  3. Stock mass produced for off the shelf less attention paid to. Yoro, each head hand picked, hand crafted and finished... same as for Mizuno Tour Staff. Better tolerances, much more unique, one of a kind Mizunos for each buyer.
  4. I just reported it as well, definitely fake. I've also reported it to Epon.
  5. ukok has a set of the 707 he got from us... maybe he can chime in here.
  6. A lot of people will suggest Ryoma as it has probably had success with 90% of its users... and it definitely suits faster swingers... we have long drivers using the V-Spec and they swing over 135mph. Ryoma has a huge sample source to get peer opinions on because we have simply sold so many, honestly more than any other driver we have ever carried. It outsells, Epon, Tourstage, Yamaha, Titleist and every other driver we carry.... COMBINED. That must speak for itself in some way. (^_^) However, as with every club, its about finding the right fit for you. Head weight is not something you should be worrying about but more so whether or not the driver you are looking at suits your game and swing. And then probably the hardest part of all, finding the right shaft. Everyone knows I say this all the time, the shaft is probably the hardest fit and the most important. To quote myself "a great shaft can make an average head come to life, a crappy shaft can make an amazing driver head even crappier." Finding the right shaft for you will improve the chances of a driver performing the way it should. And yes there will always be new clubs always new designs... some of the biggest golf ho's are here and that can be an advantage for those who are looking second hand.
  7. Its very popular so far... launched a few weeks ago but Mitsubishi is already out of stock until early November...
  8. Chris and I both assessed Buchi earlier this year and decided not to carry it until they get their quality up.
  9. Made by completely different companies. There is no CRZ425 Tour. That would be the Jbeam 425 Tour.
  10. R, the company name is in fact Solid Contacts however they are now known as Fuso Dream. They also produce the Buchi wedges/irons/putters. Very small brand. When I last checked the Solid Contacts made Crazy 425 head was still available as we can get it through Crazy, Very good driver as Stew knows. Solid Contacts made irons and putters for Ryo-kun when he was an amateur and before he moved to Yonex. Here are some pics I took of the driver when I was at Crazy:
  11. It has nothing to do with being a prototype. All crazy shafts are thinner in the tip section and the nature of all high modulus shafts are that they are more fragile. Glass particles in the carbon vs rubber particles in lower end carbon. However simply breaking like that is kind of hard to fathom, just look at the break in the picture and the splints that would require some force. Send it back to us, I will try and get warranty coverage for you.
  12. Dale please post in the right forum. I have moved this and the PXi to USDM. I have also deleted all posts that are not those who are interested in the sale as a buyer or prospective buyer. Comments about the sales are fine but not if they cause conflicts.
  13. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4763.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4763.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21460" title="DSCF4763" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4763.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="248" /></a> Tourspecgolf was invited to the ONOFF 2013 New Collection launch so I headed out yesterday to Shibuya to check out all the new gear for the new year. Every year they hold their launch event Ebisu/Daikanyama area which is just south of Shibuya. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4792.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4792.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21462" title="DSCF4792" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4792.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> While Shibuya is a constantly busy and buzzing area of Japan packed with color, lights, fashion and people, Daikanyama is more old fashioned and along with Ebisu an eclectic mix of different levels of dense residential tightly mixed with new developments and classy boutiques and trendy bars and eateries. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Untitled-13.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Untitled-13.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21463" title="Untitled-1" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Untitled-13.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="648" /></a> I snapped a few shots of Daikanyama during my walk from the station to the Granada Suite where this years ONOFF even was being held. As always ONOFF is about style and image as well as golf and it was quite easy to pick spot where the even was being held by the strategically placed signs leading to the even and in front of the even itself. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4694.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4694.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21464" title="DSCF4694" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4694.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> As always I was met by Yuki-san our overseas rep for ONOFF here in Japan. As always she was a great host and able to spend a good 2 hours with me going over the new products, their design changes as well as talking about ONOFF going forward. I of course got the chance to snap a bunch of pictures as well which I will post here. Keep in mind I will not be going into specific details about each model since I will get demos and do official reviews on each club in the coming months. This blog is just to give an idea of what is coming out. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4695.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4695.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21466" title="DSCF4695" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4695.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> One of the most popular all around forged irons has always been the ONOFF Forged (or Black as it has been called in the past). The Forged blends very soft feel matched with forgiveness, distance and control which appeal to a very wide range of golfers, from better players wanting some forgiveness to average golfers wanting a premium forged iron to take their game to the next level. At first glance the new iron does not look all that much different from the previous model. One great thing about ONOFF is they have always understood that a great product does not need to be completely overhauled but rather tweaked to become better. If you look at the evolution of different models in ONOFF's line you can see this pattern of models improving through small design changes and new technologies while maintaining a similar look. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4764.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4764.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21468" title="DSCF4764" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4764.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> So while on the outside, the 2013 model looks a lot like the 2011 model its dimensions have changed as well as CG point thanks to a thicker ridge added towards the top line on the back cavity. The Toe is a tad taller and the length of the iron heel to toe has shortened to make it subtly more compact, the sole is also slightly thinner. The thicker top cavity portion actually raises the CG to create a stronger more stable trajectory with more spin. The taller toe also contributes to this adding more spin control. The most obvious visual change is the new laser milled face which looks awesome. I said I wasn't going into too much detail so I will leave the rest for my review. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4727.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4727.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21471" title="DSCF4727" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4727.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4734.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4734.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21472" title="DSCF4734" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4734.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4737.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4737.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21473" title="DSCF4737" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4737.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> ONOFF has two new drivers for the 2013 season, the Type D Red and the Type S Black. These have all new looks to them and quite a few changes in design including shape and size (the Black is now 430cc from 460cc and more pear shaped) and weighting. I'll go into more detail during my reviews but they looked great and set up great (the Red has a gradient black and red crown that looks awesome). The stock shafts also look great with gradient colors mixed with black. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4744.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4744.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21474" title="DSCF4744" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4744.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4739.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4739.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21475" title="DSCF4739" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4739.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> While the Type D fairway wood and utility stay the same for 2013, ONOFF has released all new Type S Fairway Arms woods and Fairway Wings utility. Both feature visual changes as well as considerable changes to the face design creating much larger sweet spots and more responsive faces on both. The weighting has been adjusted and has become variable depending on loft for the Type S and the head has become more compact while maintaining its deep face. ONOFF Fairway woods and utilities are always very high regarded at TSG for superb performance and feel and the new models should be no different and most likely improve on previous models. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4726.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4726.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21476" title="DSCF4726" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4726.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> Recently there has been a revival boom of Hi Cor non conforming drivers in Japan. The launch had the new GIII 460HR Driver. Not many people know GIII which was originally created by Daiwa Golf as their premium wing to go up against the likes of Honma Beres and Maruman Majesty. All GIII clubs are completely made in Japan from the most premium materials and feature designs that focus one ease of use and distance performance. The new GIII 460HR looks very nice and with nearly 0.88COR is designed for higher launch with lower spin for max carry and run. GIII has also decided that not all players get along with longer drivers ie 46.5" and they believe a shorter length will allow more consistent ball striking which I completely agree with. The 460HR is available in 45.50" lengths and for the ladies at 44.00". Best of all for a premium model with in house high modulus carbon shaft, it is priced far better than any other premium Hi Cor driver. <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4750.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4750.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21478" title="DSCF4750" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4750.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4704.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4704.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21479" title="DSCF4704" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4704.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4713.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4713.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21480" title="DSCF4713" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4713.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="972" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4776.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4776.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21481" title="DSCF4776" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4776.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="972" /></a> Besides the new clubs there were a huge assortment of new clothes, bags and accessories. Pictured above are the new two tone caps and the new pro model limited edition Caddy Bag. The clothes look fantastic but at this point are Japan only. Their new Soft caddy bags feature a soft leather like material that looks and feels super premium. Once again thanks to ONOFF for having me and make sure you check back in coming months for more in depth reviews of each club. In the mean time check out more cool accessories from the ONOFF Launch! <a href=" sure to check out the discussion thread in the forum!</strong></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4715.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4715.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21482" title="DSCF4715" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4715.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4747.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4747.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21483" title="DSCF4747" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4747.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4707.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4707.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21484" title="DSCF4707" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4707.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4749.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4749.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21485" title="DSCF4749" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4749.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4752.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4752.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21486" title="DSCF4752" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4752.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4774.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4774.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21487" title="DSCF4774" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4774.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4771.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4771.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21488" title="DSCF4771" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4771.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a> <a href="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4722.jpg"><img'>http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4722.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21489" title="DSCF4722" src="http://www.golftoimpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/DSCF4722.jpg" alt="" width="648" height="432" /></a>
  14. Every manufacturer has a custom sheet like that. And it would be way too much work to translate but you don't really need to understand Japanese to read it. The model names of the shafts and clubs are all in English as are the flexes and weights and the lengths and swing weights.
  15. The Crazy Toyoshima wedges keep selling out way too fast. They had said the last run, the 3rd edition would be the last. Quite a few of our customers did not get their orders in on time and missed out, Because of this I have been bothering them for nearly a month now to do one last run for us. Yesterday they called me and told me the have agreed to do a last run ready for mid December. If you want the wedge you MUST order as quickly as possible as there will only be maybe 10 sets made and Crazy will offer them to their best accounts including TSG. http://www.tourspecg...roducts_id=4584 This is just a heads up as we want TSGers to grab as many of those sets as possible!
  16. Damn iphones! (^_^) Looks perfectly fine on my tablet and smartphone here.
  17. Just looked at every club listing... all the images match and are the correct images. What are you looking at?
  18. Apparently we can't post for a few weeks but the second some one breaks the rules it will probably be a free for all of pictures. We just don't want to be the ones getting in trouble for breaking the rules. (^_^)
  19. To give an update, some of you may know this but many may not, the Tour Model is specifically designed for Yamaha's top pro, Hiroyuki Fujita. He is a superb iron player and his spin control and workability are top notch. He has always played the smaller cavity back but this time around wanted a blade without loosing the ease of use of his current model CB. So what Yamaha did is create a smaller more compact blade BUT kept the MOI the same as the current CB which is quite a feat. Yamaha touts that a blade does not have to be difficult to play but needs to provide maximum workability and control. Hit draws, fades, high shots, low shots, the new Tour Model can do all this all in a smaller package but somehow with a sweet spot the same size as the CB! As for images I cannot post them until Yamaha gives the green light. We cannot risk losing our account over breaking NDA. However to describe the blade the CG is actually mid to lower for an easy launch and there is nice leading edge and trailing edge relief. Face is milled and the scorelines feature a 3mm pitch.
  20. GUYS BIG NEWS... This may affect a lot of purchasing decisions. The new V Forged Tour Model is a MUSCLE BACK... yes it is a blade. The driver looks simply amazing. Best driver yet. I only got a glimpse of what they look like but I am not allowed to share the imagery for now as I am under NDA.
  21. You already emailed me... just as I said in the first post. (^_^)
  22. 435 is of course more compact and a tad more solid feeling. Trajectory is lower as is the spin. Well suited for those who swing above 100mph at least and want control as well as distance. The shape is actually very nice. I will post up a video on the blog that Romaro made featuring the driver so we can all here the sound in action. Sound for many can be translated into feel.
  23. pricing updated... hope to have more info and images later next week.
  24. As we all know, every year towards the end of the year, Yamaha releases their new models for the coming year. Every year, the tour model irons are sold out in no time, last year the 2012 model sold out BEFORE launch. This years new models begin shipping end of November. We don't even know what they look like yet or even what the specs are but I was told by our Yamaha rep that both the Tour Model driver and the Tour Model irons MUST be PRE ORDERED to even stand a chance of getting them. So the following is all the info I have for now, I have already asked Yamaha for specs and pics and those should follow soon but this is a heads up for the many who want to order these clubs that Yamaha officially begins taking pre orders from us next week. To repeat again, if you want these clubs you had better pre order. Yamaha 2013 V203 Limited Tour Driver 9* and 10* Tour AD GT6 Stiff MSRP 1240.00 TSG Price 1059.00 All other Tour AD shafts except 9003z same price. The Tour AD GT is a new model, I have no info... yet. Yamaha 2013 Limited V Forged Tour Model Iron 5-PW DG S200 S400 X100 950GH 850GH 1050GH 1150GH Modus3 MSRP 1599.00 TSG Price 1449.00 3 and 4 iron available at an extra 245.00 each. EDIT MONDAY OCT 15: GUYS BIG NEWS... This may affect a lot of purchasing decisions. The new V Forged Tour Model is a MUSCLE BACK... yes it is a blade. The driver looks simply amazing.
