I think the attempt to do something a little different (shape). You know it's a quality club... and that Miura was willing to bend them before shipping. If I'd have bent these there would be some pretty good marks on the sole and perhaps the hosel as well. You can't tell these have been touched. And, I'm a big fan of heads only. shipping is much less and I can use the shaft I want. The Gold's wedges I have are a bit different than what T has just blogged. Mine are 5 yrs old now. Mine are great but the new ones are even better. No, The heads come standard in a 57* loft with 9* of bounce or 52* loft with 7* of loft They still say 52 - 57 but the 52 bent to 53 ends up with 8* bounce, the 57 bent to 58 ends up with 10* bounce = perfect for me.

I had both bent 1* weaker to achieve the lofts I wanted. It also put the bounce right where I wanted also. The lie was flattened out to 61*

I've had 6 different Muira iron sets over the last few years. I try the new models when they come out. Always enjoyed them but always had something else I liked better. NOT dissing on them. They are great clubs if they fit your profile. Played the new MB-5000WC Wedges today. First time in the bag with no practice time. WOW Very possible these are the best of the new releases for 2013. There wasn't anything I didn't like about them. They performed flawlessly and felt absolutely amazing. This comes from someone that doesn't ride the Miura bandwagon. I'm telling you..... Miura fan or not, these wedges are "it." I was also able to order custom lofts and lies. Can't believe how happy I am with them.

Flex would not even be close. As with most high end shafts, tip tipping is not recommended. Compare/match up graphics and see if butt trim is the way to go I'm not an expert in this field but I do believe I'm right on this one... Anyone else?
  5. The H's have been on back order for about 6 weeks now. Hoping they start shipping any day..... I'm building mine with NSPro Ora shafts. They have to be better than the 302's or they will be on the market..... couple guys own them or have owned them... hopefully they can give you a comparison, otherwise it's going to be at least a couple of weeks before the folks "waiting" can get them out and play.
  6. More like living right. :) Nothing wrong with being one of the lucky ones....
  7. Never wondered how a 10K set of Irons would play??? Getting old fast..... 56 yrs young :) only problem is I still think (wish) I'm 30....
  8. Already have too many clubs now but, but I'd probably buy some blinged out Honma's. Gold heads, 5 star shafts..... just your basic $10,000+, set of Irons.... Just for fun, guess I've wondered before what they would be like to hit.
  9. So does that mean non con are available? I'd be surprised if they still are.
  10. Glad someone else asked.... I was afraid to..... figured I was the only one who didn't know.... bunch of us are playing on the 24th.... we might just try this game out. We're thinking Goldschläger
  11. I must say it does sound like fun I play in a Summer league.. in the summer.... and I worry about most of the guys driving home after...
  12. Ummmm gonna have quite the shootout soon.....
  13. I know anything I've seen recently has the star on it. Original (older) models don't seem to. I'll have a set shipping any day now as they have been back ordered for about 6 weeks now..... would bet the new batch has the star....... we'll see, soon I hope.
  14. Thanks for the laughs, you guys just made my day. On topic, I've played with bogeydog and stew, both because of this site. Greg from St Louis , can't think of his screen name.... Feel like I'm forgetting someone..... Edit: Do Chris and Tats count?? Best story.... Probably playing with Stew in Japan at a couple of very exclusive CC's at the base of Mt Fuji An experience I'll not forget. .
  15. Unless you're a true blue SBST guy then this should work really nice. Assume the toe hangs down around 5 ?
  16. My Irons will be here tomorrow.... playing them Thursday....

The AF302's are 3+ years old now..... We all know Manufactures make money releasing new product..... can you imagine releasing a 2013 automobile that was the same model as the 2010?? Not going to happen. What this tells me is the 302's are as close to a perfect set of irons (for their target audience) as there is. They (Endo-Epon) are having a hard time coming up with something better. Wonder how long it will take them?
  18. They're called "Tour Forged"

Looking through my wedge sets... not to many 52-56-60 set ups.... Original Chikara Prototypes.... first batch Carl hand ground himself.... Pro Preference Blade wedges... best wedges nobody knows about..... couple of 50-56-60's....51-56-60's.... 52-58's.... 53-58's .... 53-59's
  20. This will invigorate him. Going to make Putting fun again.
  21. Merry Christmas

I'd match up the wedge heads with the same shafts as the irons. (aero's) maybe 110's instead. The XXIO's would get a graphite shaft if they were going to be my "off" clubs.... the softer the flex the better

Such a good wedge What makes it even better is they don't wear out
