+TourSpecGolfer
The Tourstage X-Drive 365 is the latest mode in this new X-Series driver.Rumor has it that there could be an X-Drive 450 or 460cc coming march 2006

MGB
I agree with plus1. I've gotten used to 400cc + drivers, too. I can't wait to see the 450/460.
corky3
I've got a 405 on the way.... woohoo (any news Chris?) I haven't been able to persuade myself I need a 460.... been bashing a 340 size head quite happily 'til now..... maybe it's a ase of 'small steps' maybe once I've got used to the 405 I'll eventually move up to a 460.... fhantom
460 will be sweet ...... must be solid and supper long ....
plus1
460 will be cool, wonder how it would compare to the viq 450?
Phillip Alexander
Funny thing my heads get bigger every time I buy a driver, however I'm "only" at 355 at the moment and loving it. That said the next one will be bigger!!
plus1
what are you using at the minute phil? i found that with the smaller heads the strike is much more solid and the sound id much more muted.......which is preferable in my books! however they just arent as forgiving! capedgolfer
If you go to the USGA conforming driver list they have pictures of the X-drive in 340cc, 365cc, 385cc, 405cc, and 435cc http://www.usga.org/equipment/conforming_g...g_golf_club.asp (search under "bridgestone")

Plus 1, I am currently using a KZG Gemini 355. I've had the Gemini about 6 months. Prior to the Gemini, I used a Homna Twin Marks 300 for about 3 years. Interestingly the thing that sold me on the Gemini was just how solid it felt. I suspect this is because of the dual face technology. The Homna felt tinny to hit in comparison. That said the Homna face was dead square and the Gemini face is closed. The closed face on the Gemini didn't worry me initially, however it is starting to annoy me. If the Gemini had a square face like the Homna it would be close to perfect. I don't know why most of the manufacturers make closed faces, however in my view they would sell more if they were all square. A ho's work is never done, the next driver will probaly be bigger again, square face and the solid feel of the Gemini. Still researching the perfect shaft to put in it! plus1
Phil the gemini 355 was an excellent driver...i had two of the prototypes both of which sat square! however they are long gone! i found with the gemini thatthe double face actually worked...and found it was super consistent, however the feel wasnt to my liking! Mr Zodia or Chris....is this a prototype x drive 435? i heard you saying that there is a 460 coming out in 06 but this is the first ive heard of the 435! +TourSpecGolfer
435 WOW Great Find Roberto! I now see what TS is gonna do, squeeze out every size possible. I dont think it will end at 435cc's and my best guess is that they will hit 450/460 in 3-6 months after the release of this new beauty you have found. I dont know the release date but I will give them a call on Monday to find out the details on it.
plus1
personally i would wait till the bigger 450/460 head comes out because imo tourstage do a very good job of hiding the cc's of the club....ie my viq 450 does not look 450 cc! which to me is great as i get all the forgiveness of the huge head but dont feel like im swinging a house on the end of a stick!
Phillip Alexander
Plus 1, you obviously like the viq, however what benefits does it provide that you felt were missing in the KZG?
plus1
more solid, the feel of it is different class in my opinion! with the kzg there were times when i felt that it was tinny! also in terms of looks i much prefer the viq, it is 450ccs but doesnt look it, traditional head shape and inspires confidence! i found the kzg a strange shape, its hard for me to describe because ive had so many drivers since then...but if i recall correctly it has a squarish toe! dont get me wrong, i did like the gemini when i had it, and although i wasnt comfortable with the feel it was a performer...however IMO technology has again improved from then and i personally can see and feel the benefits!
Phillip Alexander
 Thanks for the response plus 1. If you move on from the viq, pm me
