+TourSpecGolfer
This thing is just awesome, The G-Field Studio now offers just about every shaft option as well as head foaming, and weight bias adjustments to their drivers. The prototype driver in the pics below will not be released. the difference between it and the retail is that the COG is 1mm deeper back and the shape isn't as pear as the retail version. Other than that they are the same. Made of 6-4ti and a forged 6-4ti face this driver foamed feels better than even the Tourstage drivers of old. I'm hitting a 10.5 with PT-6 and 11.5 with Mamiya Axiv. Its just flat out forgiving and the feel at impact is sensational. The difference between the prototype in these pics and the retail model is head shape and C.O.G location. The C.O.G in the proto is 1mm deeper and further back than the retail due to its larger appearance profile. Expect the retail Japan version to look deeper and more compact. The U.S version will not have the weight screws and fancy shaft options.

+TourSpecGolfer
The face is dead square, the head shape reminds me of a cross between the X-Drive and PRGR TR-X driver. I have 2 10.5 heads with any shaft option. After these 2 are gone we will never see this shape again from G-Field.

matt411
Look forward to seeing the pear shaped retail model. That one looks a little strange to my eye. I think there is a reason GD is not taking that shape retail. Is the retail model going to have the same type of scoring lines?
sfgolfer
The reason I'm so intrigued is that the face on the fairways is HOOOOOT. I mean scorching hot. You hold a ball a few inches above the club and drop a ball on the face and it almost hits you in the mouth If the driver is that tight then it will be a distance machine. I haven't played but 18 holes in the last five months and I pretty much striped this one every time. It's doesn't seem any longer than others I've had but its certainly no shorter either. Very solid and easy to hit with a little draw. Presents an easy target and seems quite forgiving. Also played the 16 degree FW and 22 degree UW for the first time.........same comments. FW has the Diamana and UW has the GD UT-85. I will probably get the PRGR just for comparison purposes but this one is pretty damn good. GO WOLFPACK!!! plus1
Just a quick mention on the performance of the driver after one round........10.5* with tour ad pt-6, this thing is imense. It flies of the face soooo hot and fast. distance is good, flight slightly high, but it is so darn forgiving! will be taking pics and doing the promised review during the week :tsg_smilie_cool:
Lennie
How do you like your ZOMO? The ZOMO is a great putter!! Probably the best "neo mallet" I've owned. Really easy to take back and through the ball. Does not track off line. Great feel. Very underrated in my opinion..........not much "buzz" on this site. shoe295
I hit my 11.5* with the Axiv 6564 for the first time on Monday. 47* and 15mph crosswind combined with the first swings of the year so I wasn't expecting much. This thing feels amazing...A MA ZING..is what I'm talking about. Very very very solid, no tinny TINK and the dispersion was to die for(nothing left!)...hit only about 30 balls with it and only 2 would have been trouble(one of which was really really long and just a tad pulled.) I am still in shock in that regards because my swing was not anywhere near form. Cant wait until I get it out in a little bit warmer weather but I think this is a gamer! bumpNrun24
It sure is pretty. Very clean lines all the way around. I like the fact that they didn't mess up the topline by adding an alignment aid. I hate those things!!
+TourSpecGolfer
This driver is foamed, so those expecting a TM or Cally feel need not apply. Think J340, RX-1 etc.. Its dead/mute sound and feel is extrodinary for me. Distance i rate average on this club but forgiveness well above normal.

Probably the most solid driver i have ever hit, previously i thought the 510 tp was untouchable....but i was wrong. My only fault imo was the shaft, feels very weak for an s flex to me.....may have to eexperiment
