huntingchris0000
I am really interested in trying a Gauge Japan or a G Field putter but of course there is now where for me to try one before I just buy one so the thing I am asking you is to sell me on what makes this the go to putter. Right now I am putting with a Ping Anser putter but I have about 12 putters of different brands. Scotty, Odyssey, Yes, Taylor made, ping you name it I have tried it and the anser always ends up back in the bag. So I am wanting you to tell me what makes this putter the cats Meow? Sell me it is going to be really hard :tsg_smilie_money3: :tsg_smilie_money3:
Blader-X
Check out some of the reviews via the search but here's my 2 cents worth. I have the Premium Zone #1 in black. First, the grip. As I'm holding this putter, I can't tell where my hands end and the grip begins. Its just a perfect blend. Second, the weight. Its 350 grams, there's no need to add any weight, sand or sugar the shaft. That heavier weight just feels as if its the right weight a putter should be. Third, the face insert. The milling on the face insert allows for the ball to roll off of the face sooner producing a truer roll. When I switched from my Cammy Newport 2.5 to the G-Field all my putts rolled out so much more. In fact the first few rounds I was sometimes 5 feet past the hole. Now, I've adapted and all I can say is wow! Fourth, with Alusiner insert, the ball is framed so nicely at setup, I feel real confident that I'm going to roll the ball on the line I picked out. I may pick out the wrong line, but it goes where I aim. Fifth, the feel when the putter strikes the ball is like butta!. It blows away my old Cammy in feel. For me, a feel type player, that's a majority of the ballgame right there. You've got to find these somewhere and give them a go.
TheHawkmc
For me it was THE FEEEL. I have the Gauge Design 'The One' which was accidently shipped to me instead of a wedge I ordered. I took one look at the craftsmanship, the quality, the great setup and had to strike a putt. One putt was all it took. For all the Camerons (Titleist, Mizuno and Customs), the TP Mills (handmades), the Bettinardi's (custom) and Tad Moores (customs)....GD's The One is amazing, more solid, softer, truer than any putter that I have ever hit. Plus with the milling pattern on the face (which looks so great) I get the purest roll of any putter I've ever tried. That first putt sold me................... Goldenhawk
I've used a lot of putters...Ping, Odyssey, Scotty, even Yes Golf. And Yes putters are dead accurate. But my G-Field Premium Zone No. 1 beats them all. The feel is great. The weighting is perfect. It puts an immediate roll on the ball. I haven't seen the ball skid with this putter. unclekent
I switched from a Yes! Callie to GD 'the One' and have never looked back. It rolls consistantly straighter and I have much better accuracy from longer range. I can judge my stroke distance better & the feeling is more 'pure' or softer if this helps. I am overall more confident with this putter in my hand. :tsg_smilie_wink:

idrive
I've Putt with so many Putters I can't count that high... I've been Putting with a very custom Scotty SSS Tour Newport Beach. I really didn't think it would ever leave the bag. I'm now Putting with the Premium Zone "0" Simply rolls the ball better. Feels Excellent. Blader-X
I've had the G-Field ever since early last year and still love the way it rolls the ball!! I have looked at other putters when I wander into an occasional golf shop, stroke a few putts, look at the pics on line, but I'm under the G-Field spell so much by its performance I just have no need for any other putter. A new 3 wood however, that's another story. And another post when as soon as Epon is finished making it for me!!
Lance99
You won't be disappointed once you try a Gauge. I took the blind leap of faith and couldn't be happier. Although my putting is horrendous I still switch it up, but always come back to the Gauge.
