May 13, 200717 yr comment_134464 It'll probably involve members spending large amounts of money Exactly what I'm afraid of.

May 22, 200717 yr Author comment_134969 Its a nano clay composite experiment we were doing with epoxy, grip material, and clear coat. These particles are very difficult to disperse and “delaminate” all of the nano-platelets in the resin. Unless you do this you will not see any marked thermomechanical improvement. We need high shear homogenisers and ultrasonic probes to help achieve this but dont know anyone in the nearby with that lab equipment in America. Nearest place is Australia. Kinda stuck at this moment.

May 23, 200717 yr comment_135008 ...well...ic... but i dont care to explain what is the advantage of using "nano clay composite " ? what is the thermomechanical improvement you are talking about? you should try contact UNCI/UCSB (805) 893-7510 they maybe able to help
May 23, 200717 yr comment_135011 Chris, you know I'd be happy to make up a nanocomposite for you in the lab here in Brisbane, but it will be well and truly cured by the time it gets to you!. I have a student coming from UCSB for a few months to work in Australia from late July, so I'll see if they know who could help in your local area. You need to find another golfing academic with all the gadgetry!
