Posted July 20, 201410 yr I strongly believe that Endo's best ever were the severely under appreciated ONOFF S-Forged irons... Yup the ones that are almost 5 years old, for me the light trailing edge relief combined with the leading edge grind and compact size take the cake. Taking second place would be the 2013 Vokey Forged then behind that the PRGR & Yamaha players wedges. With all those CB358 players loving their irons, it's surprising we let ONOFF's tour wedge fade away and now ONOFF has no more in stock and doesn't plan to replace them soon. These are so good they rank in my top 5 list of favorite wedges: - Modart Custom - Buchi Custom - Toyoshima Wedge - ONOFF S-Forged - Cold Forged Vokey
July 20, 201410 yr My ALL TIME fav is the Epon Technity wedge in Copper Not sure why the ONOFF's have never received the praise they are due. They just flat out perform and feel amazing.
July 20, 201410 yr These one i will agree are very good simplemand feel amazing But the yamaha black forged from 2008 are better and i very much disagree withthemvokeys i think they are too light to thin And just a very generic wedgein comparison to many others. Syard bolds forminstance whist, not every ones cup of tea atke some beating as well The ones above myplaying partnerbhas about 10 sets of as spares hell never use anyhting else
July 20, 201410 yr Author Cold forged is a stud, the only thing generic about them is that they are from Titleist but other than that the loft/bounce/grind options are the biggest in JDM land. What's this light and thin stuff? There is a grind for nearly everyone in that line up.
July 20, 201410 yr were the tourstage mr-23 us wedges made by endo? the 2004 version was my favourite of the mr-23 wedges series (03 us-spec 04 us- spec made with 99.9% pure fe and then the 05 maru x-wedge)
July 21, 201410 yr I think the stuff Endo has done for Titleist be it wedges or irons are superb. I played the RF551 vs. the VG3's I have from 2010 this weekend and the VG3's still win out. The tungsten weight in the sole of the longer irons is subtle but huge....
July 21, 201410 yr Epon copper wedge from 06. NOTHING felt better than that thing. Why I sold it I'll never know. Those onoffs still available?

The tungsten weight in the sole of the longer irons is subtle but huge.... I have the RF551 with Roddio I-6 and also the 2012 VG3 with stock graphite and came to the same conclusion. While the Epon/Roddio is very good, I have the same better and more consistent result with the VG3 on mid irons. Edited July 21, 201410 yr by Duffer19
July 21, 201410 yr Epon copper wedge from 06. NOTHING felt better than that thing. Why I sold it I'll never know. Those onoffs still available? Yup, the ol Technity - X wedge. For those that never had a chance to see or hit them.... you really missed out. They were a large part of what sucked me into the JDM World. IMO this is when Epon was really emerging into the premier brand they were/are. Haven't set the world on fire as of late but for awhile they were top dog. Complete with copper carbon fiber ferrules. Minimalistic!!!! For the record I have a 52-56-60 that have a ton of play and practice on them. My son has them in his bag now and I can't pry them out regardless of what I dangle in front of him. You'd be amazed how good they still look. Still don't think there's anything that performs any better and certainly nothing that feels better. . Edited July 21, 201410 yr by idrive
July 21, 201410 yr Yep those are the ones. My first Japanese club. Never felt anything like it since. Truly incredible. Got me hooked as well
July 21, 201410 yr They are stunning, I can see why you referred me to these in the absence of the toyos Chris. Why wont Epon release a players compact wedge with similar grind. Endo obviously have the inside track on performance and eye pleasing wedges if they produce such beauties as these.
July 21, 201410 yr The old Technitys yep they were weighty and had a brilliant grind....and I agree with Supo about the raw 2008 Yammies - my favourites for full shots and current gamers. Also love the JP Titleist forged 62.
July 22, 201410 yr Author The closest thing to the original Technity wedge in size is the Endo made Titleist TVD Forged, not the same but the size and forgiveness gets close.
August 28, 201410 yr My current gamers Supo! Got some ONOFF S Forged coming to see how they go in comparison.
August 28, 201410 yr My gamers as well. Tough to find these days in good condition. Have a whole set of them. 52, 56 and 60.
August 28, 201410 yr I've tried Yamaha 2011 and Epon 208 but so far Royal Collection DB forged are the best I've gamed. Good feel and spin.
August 28, 201410 yr yup im reshafting a cpl of them now as well. had a few heads shaftless for a long time. spotted the mthe other day took the 56* out for a test adn went hmmmmmm bout time these got another run!
August 29, 201410 yr Underrated, but I love my Epon 210KGX wedges. They play great. Feel is perfect, good turn interaction. The only negative is that the spin is average. Course all wedges are average in spine after playing Yururi's.
August 29, 201410 yr have these in 50 54 and love them I just use a spinny 58 on those short side nippers Are those the Shimada black Ks if they are you got exactly the same setup with ferrules and all :)
August 29, 201410 yr Ian, are you using the Royal Collection DB Grind Wedge that you are referring to? I am playing the Royal Collection 6150TG wedges and they are great, thinking to get another set...either Royal Collection DB Grind or the DB Double Milled wedge. Anyone played the DB Double Milled Wedge vs. DB Grind? Edited August 29, 201410 yr by bluejays

I am playing the Royal Collection 6150T wedges and they are great, thinking to get another set...either Royal Collection DB Grind or the DB Double Milled wedge. Anyone played the DB Double Milled Wedge vs. DB Grind? i got a set of the DB ws 52-56 in a special finish , like a golen choclate copper. going to bag them on sudnay, again they really have some spin, have them shafted with KBS back tour X , get an extra kick with them, bit more distance, superb spin on them
