Posted December 3, 201410 yr Just an update on this club as we have been getting a few emails about the new Modart MA01DS Driver, Suda-san told me it's the same thing as the MA01D but designed for the adjustable Hosel and it's set to be released in Jan. So not exactly a new release but it's something different.
December 3, 201410 yr If it performs similar to the D and with adjustability, this should be a hot driver for 2015...
February 19, 201510 yr Any updates on this? Forgiving? How much adjustability? Materials? It looks fantastic.
March 7, 201510 yr Author I'll have a write up on sunday for you, I hit it for about 20 minutes on a trackman at Modart HQ. 5cc bigger new face material sp700 more forward CG matte black softer forged cup face The only thing adjustable about it is you can swap shafts, no loft/lie/fA changes.
March 7, 201510 yr Author Hmmm, that's disappointing. Any improvement over the original? We have a lot of customers who love the original and some of these guys have tried it all. I can't say if it's better or not for sure unless I spent more time with it. imo modart woods are something special.
April 29, 20159 yr Has anyone played it yet? Also where can you get the extra adaptors to change shafts? Thank you
April 29, 20159 yr I am expecting to do a build in the near future, so I should be able to come back with a comparison but I am sure there are others (Nob, Chris) that can also chime in on how it performs and shaft adapters...
April 30, 20159 yr This looks great, I aint one for adjustable drivers so this is perfect in my opinion. Same driver head and change the shaft with ease for different conditions and tracks.
April 30, 20159 yr I am sure you can get additional adapters from Chris. I initially thought that a Titleist Surefit adapter would fit because they look so similar but no go.... Here is my review of both the D and DS. http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/38385-basileus-aaa-tt1100g-80t-limited-edition-shaft/ I personally liked the DS over the D because of the matt black paint as well as the changeable shaft. I am a shaft tinkerer so I like having the changeability. Performance wise, I really do not see a difference between the two. I have not been on a launch monitor with it so I cannot provide performance details. MA01 series is a performance packed head with great looks, sound and feel. I also need to mention the forgiveness it has in such a compact body. Edited April 30, 20159 yr by nobmontana
