Godfather1
After a few rounds I am ready to give a review, this is not the regular eldik this is the 370g . First I would like to thank Chris (tsg)for getting me this he runs a great forum and offers outstanding equipment. My first reaction was they should make this illegal this is like using a pool cue, it's point and putt. The feel is very good and soft and I just love the sort of muted click as opposed to the crunch on my callaway tour blue. The distance control is excellent for an alignment putter. I used to use a big ben which was very good on long putts but I seemed to overshoot the shorter ones the gauge is solid on long putts and short ones are automatic. In conclusion this is the best golf investment I made, and a warning to all don't bet against anyone who has this putter within 15 ft. , you might as well concede. :money:
Guest
That's the second time someone has praised this putter. Never thought I would even give it a shot but I just might have to try one for myself :money:

+TourSpecGolfer
I still play my eldik, switch back and fourth between it and my anser putters. The model that the Godfather bought was the 370g head w/ red Ion grip, his was one of 3 custom order eldiks. Mine is 370g with a ton of lead tape, same effect I just wish I waited for the custom one. Eldik sales have died down a bit recently but id like to know what you other eldik users think about the performance over the last several months. BTW, Eldik stands for Elephant d**k! :nos**t:
alohano
I posted a review in the review section but I'll say here that it's been a great ride for me. I had to change the grip from the Type A (Chris..send me a blue ion! lol) as it's too fat/large for me. It took a little getting used to but once I changed the grip, it's been wonderful. It's forgiving, the sweet spot's the whole face, distance control very consistent and it's the easiest putter to aim.
MCsub
I will offer a differing view... while I loved the putter at address (much more than any of the other alignment aid putters), I hated the teflon coating. But I guess to try to switch from a Bettinardi DASS to a teflon coating was dumb on my part. Stainless steel putters are so much more crisp and precise... the teflon has such a muted feel it is not for me. That muted quality makes distance control much more difficult IMO. I think its best attribute is aligning the putt. The 3 white lines also help make for a consistent stroke. I am now using the SM490A which is very comparable in feel to the Bettinardi, and i guess it is just what I am used to. When this putter is available w/ a milled steel face, I will give it another go. Better yet, a SM490A version... how 'bout it Chris?
Breal
I have the N style and the alignment is the best out there. My putter has no Teflon coating which i like, but the Teflon was also good. Were This putter shines is that anything, I mean anything 12 ft. and in is dropping in the hole. Its the best alignment putter to date, I'm switching between the N style and the red x figuring what is # 1 and 2. The eldik is up by a point as of know. Try it you will love this putter
hornyjuan
HAHA sm490a Eldik...that'll be insane. I'm sure the production cost on just the material alone is alot of :money:
haribo
So? How many putts per round do you guys save with this teflon stick? haribo
alohano
...maybe 3-6 strokes. I used a 2-ball blade which was pretty effective for me but there's no doubt that I am saving strokes with the Eldik.
Godfather1
I have already shaved 4-6 strokes a round. Since I got this I have yet to 3 putt.
hornyjuan
WOW...4-6 strokes is pretty amazing  What index are you?
Godfather1
I am now shooting in the mid 80's but most of my strokes were coming from putts which is why I am having such great results.

andre2you
I also bought the 370 gram Eldik (Thanks Chris) but I have to say I haven't had much success with it. I was really excited when it arrived but on the practice green it just didn't feel right (I couldn't get comfortable with it, misses mostly short or right).. So I took it out on the course (Hoping it would be different, it wasn't) I missed so many putts to the right I was scratching my head! So I took the Eldik had the grip changed (it was to small) and had it Balance Certified. I am putting better with it but most of my misses are still to the right but distance is spot on (I seem to putt much better with my Odyssey Tri Hot #3). Right now I'm trying to decide if I will sell the Eldik or give it more time. We'll see.

Sorry to hear that, Most of my misses are to the left with all neo mallets, many neo mallets sit square but people have a tendency to pull putts because they get handsy, your problem is the opposite, you probably have a very sound putting stroke and the open face is actually working the wrong way for you. I don't know, if its bad for the eye/brain its no good for you. we are each different animals.

My misses use to be left with the Futura and right with the TriHot but I worked with the ProAim glasses for 3 weeks and it really got my putting stroke right on line. Also with the addition of the Balance Certified weight (TriHot) I'm not handsy at all.
+TourSpecGolfer
What exactly is balance certified and who does it? how much? Can you break it down and tell us exactly what they do to it?
andre2you
What exactly is balance certified and who does it? how much? Can you break it down and tell us exactly what they do to it? Balance Certified is a company that manufactures weights for installation in the buttend of golf clubs. Balance certification is a weight inserted butt end of the shaft. The weight counterbalances the club making the club more stable. I don't really know the technicalities (www.balance-certified.com) can explain it better. All I know is since I had it installed my putter stroke is one piece (smooth as butter) and everyone that has tried my TriHot wants it. I had it installed at a local golfstore ELJcustom (website the same name). The setup I purchased was the multiple weight system 10, 30 & 50 gram weights with a removal wrench, supposedly slower greens heavier weight faster greens lighter weight. After experimenting I found the 50 gram offered the best weighting (in the TriHot #3). I have since found a website that sells balance certified products that you can install yourself (without removing the grip) www.myostrichgolf.com (search for balance in the proshop section). I haven't bought anything from them yet but will be ordering soon. Also I have had my Eldik (originally 50 but putted better with the 30 gram), 54* wedge (30 gram) and Driver (30 gram) installed with the system. My wedge is more online now and the Driver (WOW!!!!) I'm hitting drives deeper and more on line than ever. I plan on having all my clubs fitted. I hope this helps.... Oh forgot to add cost; (Installed by local clubfitter not including grip) $75.00US for the three weight system (you really don't need this and almost a waste of money until I was able to switch out the 50gram which I had installed in the Eldik with the 30gram that came with the three weight system). $40.00 US for a single weight Install it yourself and it should be less It may be expensive but for me well worth the money my average putts per 18 has gone from (before BC) 32-35 to (after BC) 23-27 min-max last 6 rounds with the TriHot. Only played two rounds with the Eldik (putts were 36 and 29) so you can see my frustration with it.
