  1. Just got my Bettinardi about 1hr ago. I've made about 150 putts thus far with it. So far, i'm a little surprised with the feel. I will admit i haven't been practicing my putting daily like i usually do but i still feel capable of fair judgement. With that being said, i find this putter to be the first Bettinardi i've ever tried to feel much more like a Scotty Cameron. That might be great news to some, perhaps not so great to others. I will say I personally prefer the Classic Bettinardi feel of the BB43 or BB2 or even the MC series, which are all as pure a feeling putter as i've ever experienced, but obviously Cameron's are no slouch and have their massive following as well. This 1st article Bettinardi feels very similar to my Scotty Cameron Newport Beach CS Proto. I find both putters slightly more difficult to nail the sweet spot with but definitely possess a nice feel upon finding it. Although this putter face does not use an insert, i find it quite similar to the Premium Zone...... which i've said before, i find slightly difficult to strike well. I find both of them to be a little finicky with regards to where the ball needs to be struck vertically on the face. HOWEVER, if you want.... and i'm not exaggerating when i say this.... the absolute, most accurate, point and steer, laser like putter Bettinardi's ever made (and in my opnion anyone, this includes, Premium Zones, Scotty, Ping, Odyssey, Guerin, Yes, Rife etc etc) this is the one to get. I'm not talking about forgivness here, obviously off center hits will scold you like with any heel toe weighted putter, but if you're anywhere around the sweet spot, this thing's rolling the ball more true than any putter, in my opinion, on the market period. This thing is sick in that regard. It's deadly deadly accurate. The "train track" crafting is very unique and beautiful looking. I can see how it must really grip and role the ball amazingly well. I'm actually surprised it's taken so long for companies to experiment with putter faces, because there is obviously a major advantage to having face grooves, train tracks etc. If you want the most accurate, purist rolling putter on the market today, i believe this is it. Bettinardi has gotten on to something really big here.
  2. Epon X is the best feeling. Yururi is a close second. Highest spinning wedge i've tried is the Epon Technity in black by far. Ridiculous. Sometimes i think it spins it too much.
  3. Oh man, get on it. They're awesome! I like them much better than Camerons and i like Camerons.
  4. Can't wait to! I'll compare it head to head with the Premium Zone as well as several other Bettinardi's and Cameron's. I've become big into putter collecting recently.
  5. I have one on the way. I'll let you guys know my take on it when it arrives! In my opinion Bettinardi makes the finest putters in the world. More so than Scotty and the rest. ALTHOUGH, i have yet to place my order for the highly acclaimed Gold's Factory. Christmas is coming though.
  6. Bag, putter, and Yururi's are now sold.
  7. No i'm sorry i don't.
  8. Not sure if this is "Taboo" or not, but over at BSG they have completed a MASSIVE shaft test comparison done by GolfLabs. Pretty interesting stuff.
  9. Selling Mint Premium Zone #2 in black. $200 Mint Mitsubishi Diamana Ion Flowerband X flex. 46inches uncut - $155 PRGR TR3 52/10 with Black Gold X shaft. Never used in a round. 3 Range sessions. Face is unremarkable. Tourstage X 56/14 Wedge with Black Gold X shaft. Also never used in a round. 3 Range sessions. Also in very very good shape. $100 for the PRGR and $90 for the Tourstage X Titleist 905S with a Brand new UST V2 long drive shaft installed afterwards. Used in one round and two range sessions before i installed the V2 shaft and only used with the new shaft once at the range. $215. Shaft alone retails for $185. Thanks.
  10. Ya i'm very interested in your thoughts as well. Please share them. I'm new to Matrix shafts and so far i really like the accuracy i'm seeing with them. In my opinion, you might like the Matrix hybrid more in a a 18* and the GD in a 22*.......it's a little softer and smoother in my opnion. I'm just debating whether to buy a F8M2 matrix shaft or a Diamana in a new component driver i'm making. Always fun, always worrysome. Haha. Let me know.
  11. Good to know. Thanks!
  12. Anyone want to comment on the differences between the following. I've seen them all on the internet. Matrix F7M2 Matrix F8M2 Matrix F7M2 "2007 Proto" Matrix F7M2 "LTD" (Low Tip Deflection).
  13. Trying to find an old thread i started on here. When i look at my profile it only lists about the last 5. Is there any way to view threads you've started from a while back?
  14. Have a GD UT-85 in a Bridgestone J33 hybrid (18*) and i have a Matrix Ozik Altus Hybrid installed in a G-Field GFT 22* hybrid (bridgestone is nicer feeling by the way). Wanted to give you my thoughts on the shafts. Matrix is much harsher feeling compared to the GD. GD is buttery smooth. Both are very accurate. In my opinion, the Matrix appears to have tighter dispersity but that is definitely up for debate. I find the Matrix very very straight but very harsh feeling. You might want to weigh in your mind, how much feel you're willing to sacrifice for accuracy. I'll personally take the harsh feel for accuracy but this is obviously a personal opinion. It's extremely straight so i think it's worth it. I highly reccommend both shafts.
  15. Just curious if anyone has any comparsions or thoughts on which is the superior shaft for low spin, feel, low launch, dispersity etc.
  16. PM me please. Thanks.

SMT 455 Deep Bore. I'm telling you. Tried them all. Not even close.

    SMT 455 DEEP BORE. Ridiculous.

Maybe if you can get over the fact that it's the ugliest shaft ever created.
  20. Yep, that's what the guy did. Drilled out the hosel a tiny little bit. Put in the Ozik shaft, fits perfectly. No marks, no scuffs and most importantly, no shaft shaving neccessary.
  21. Bought a G-Field GFT 22* utility the other day. Was told it was a .370 hosel opening. So i decided to buy a Matrix Ozik Altus Hybrid shaft for it. I get to the clubmakers today and apparently the GFT is only a .350. So i'm pissed, but i ask the guy what my options are. He says he can drill the hosel a tiny tiny amount to make it .370. I ask him if it will affect play or performance of the club/shaft etc. He assures me THERE WILL BE NO AFFECT in shaft or club head performance whatsoever. Just wondering how accurate you guys believe this to be. I mean i wouldn't think shaving down a hosel 3/100ths of an inch or whatever it is, would make a difference but i can't be too careful with my babies.
  22. Besides hosel fitting reasons, are there some shafts that you just shouldn't tip trim for whatever reason? Wondering if i should tip trim my Accra shaft, but don't want to ruin what the designers of the shaft strive to ahieve with it's tip feel.
  23. I have an Accra SE 80 M5 shaft (great great shaft by the way, if anyone's thinking about getting one) and i want to shorten it by an inch. I've looked everywhere and i can't find informtion on trimming the shaft. I don't know if butt trimming affects kickpoint or tip trimming screws something else up. Please help me out here.

I like the low profile on the Technity as well. Mine is 13.5. I actually hit a 13.5 better than a 15.....at least of firm ground. I think the amount of spin is just a personal preference. As with anything, when there's change, it's just a matter of getting used to whatever it is. But ya, wow, I had one shot today from 15 yards when the ball hit the green and spun back! Crazyness.
