  1. It's a complete rape job. I try to get things sent as a "gift" or a "warranty replacement". Give that a shot. Seems to help most of the time. Health Care is nice, but there are better Dr.'s in the US anyway. I'm from Sask and if i want an MRI, i have to wait up to a yr for one. That's the down side to health care. No reason there shouldn't be a two tier system. If you want to pay your own way it shouldn't be a problem. Especially considering it's not taking the place of someone in line. But that just wouldn't fly with all the socialists. BRUTAL.
  2. Hey. The putter isn't available any more. The wedges are now $50 each. I need to get rid of them.
  3. I'm looking to reshaft my Epon Type J's. What do you guys think are the shafts to choose when the objective is to preserve the natural feel of the clubhead as best you can? I know installing different shafts produce different results so you could argue there is no neautral shaft, but what shaft do you guys feel is least likely to rob one of feel. Nippons? Black Golds? Tour Concepts? Dynamic Golds? Project X? The Type J's are arguably the best feeling irons out there so i want to make sure i don't mess that up. Thanks guys.
  4. I have a Blue in a Titleist Vokey wedge. Just wanted to try it. Only thing is, it's a 58* so i haven't been able to feel much. For what it's worth, it does feel nice upon contact. Easy to control. Hard to compare though, in such a high loft.

I bought a Harrison Pro 1.4 Low Launch long drive shaft and i went to Golfsmith to have it installed in my Alpha head. Just wondering if you guys think of Golfsmith for installing shafts. I personally don't know much about installing shafts so i can't determine anything on my own. Is there more than one method of installing them? Different epoxies, ferrules on and on etc? Think they'll do the job fine? Would hate to have the shaft/head less than optimal. Thanks guys.
  6. I like it! What's with the carbon fiber thing near the grip? I don't understand.
  7. I'm a pretty big video gamer and i truly don't think they've made an excellent golf game on any system ever. Not to be negative but i just think they're not capturing the sport the way they could and need to. With that being said, this years Tiger Woods is decently fun.

Gocchin and Chris, i'm noticing a new Epon putter in both of your windows. Any more pics you'd like to disclose!!!!
  10. Thanks TGS for hosting the contest. I had a good time with it. Good for publicity of the site as well. I still think you guys should design some golf shirts with TGS on them. I'd sport them for sure.
  11. I did take some other pics but i decided to leave them out.
  12. Thanks man! I like photography but i've never done semi or professional work. I actually took all of those pictures with just a basic little Canon SD 700 compact powershot. I actually don't take pictures as often as i'd like to. I guess i'm too busy trying to figure out my golf game. Haha.
  13. Hahah, i have some other gear, but it's old N. American stuff and we can't have that now can we. Haha.
  14. Thanks a lot guys! It's nice to hear.
  15. Thanks "HH", i appreciate the compliment!

For some unknown reason, i'm unable to write anything under my photos. Could anyone offer a hint as to why this might be? Thanks guys.
  17. Thanks man, i appreciate it!
  18. Hey Guys. Hope you enjoy the photos. Here is my bag of goodies. I'm sorry but I'm not sure how to write my commentary under each photo. The photo's aren't showing up when i attempt to. I guess i'll have to rely (and hope) my photos will speak for themselves, as visual representation can sometimes convey even more than script. A BRIEF HISTORY : I first came about Tourspecgolf around two years ago. At that time, I was still merely discovering not only the game of golf, but the beautiful, sometimes crazy world of golf equipment. Needless to say, TSG got me hooked! Although it took a year before my first purchase of any type of J-spec equipment, the worth was very much worth it! I'll admit, i was skeptical at first as as to just how much of a difference J-Spec equipment could make to my game. You know how it is, hype tends to have a snowball effect. Regardless, i placed my order and waited impatiently for my equipment to arrive. When the big day finally came, i felt like i used to feel as little boy on Christmas day. I tore open the box and pulled out my first ever piece of J-Spec equipment. Beautiful new Epon Copper wedges. The first thing i remember thinking was just how incredibly beautiful these things looked. I remember taking specific note of the precision craftsmanship that trickles down into every piece of Japanese golf equipment. Needless to say, my future dollars weren't going to be spent in the likes of Golfsmith any longer! Since that first purchase, i've slowly migrated solely over to J-Spec equipment. Like i'm sure all of you agree, there's just no going back. The feel is better, the wedges spin better, the shafts are smoother, the look is nicer, and mentally, i'll say it, it feels nice to own something, that on N. American Turf, is pretty rare. I know own the incredible amazing feel Epon Technity driver in a 9.5 degree loft with a Roddio 7W X flex shaft. My three wood is a Epon Technity with the super smooth Mach Line FW in X flex. Amazing combo! My Hybrid is a 22 degree G-Field GFT with a Ozik Altus Hybrid shaft in X-flex Wedges are Epon Copper, Technity (greatest spinning wedge i've ever seen), a Fourteen MT V3, and a Tourstage X wedge. Putters range from the very acute Bettinardi's to the Hyper accurate Premium Zone G-Fields I also use a Tourstage ball. Very nice indeed. There is no doubt in my mind the game of golf has not only become easier since my transition over to J-Spec equipment, it's become more fun. Not to mention, TSG has forced me to pay more attention to my equipment and my equipment needs/specs. Somtimes that goes unnoticed. Good luck to all you guys, i enjoy cruising this site daily, it's a very fun hobby! P.S. I thought i'd include a picture of my cat since he is a Bengal, which is a half Asian Leopard cat, half tabby. Thought it would be fitting.
  19. Thanks Chris, that's a kind gesture, i appreciate it! However, i actually want to keep my Technity as is. I hit the thing straight and the feel is amazing with the Roddio. It's actually my gamer when i'm playing serious, and not just out on the weekend with my friends trying to hit the odd mammoth bomb! Haha. I'm looking to buy a new driver shortly, something ultra low spin, low low launch and i am looking at putting a F7M2 or F8M2 in that head. So, if the offer stands in a month, i'll hit ya up. Thanks again.
  20. I have the Signature Traintrack Bettinardi limited edition, a BB43, BB2, a MC-2 and a Grand Reserva. I find all the Bettinardi's have a slightly different feel. It's obviously hard to explain what type of feel a putter produces over the internet, but, i'll give it a shot anyway. 1)BB43 - When struck well, i still like the feel this putter produces more than the rest. (Bridgestone B330 ball). There's no insert on this putter, just straight honeycomb. The feel is a soft but not dead kind of "punchy, spongey" feel. It just has a perfect "click" in my opinion. 2)BB2 - The one i have is made of carbon. No insert. I love the feel of this putter as well. It's my second favorite out of the ones i own. Sometimes i think i even like the feel of this more than the BB43. It's very similar to the BB43 but with slightly more pop. 3)Grand Riserva - It's tough to compare this to the others because it is a flange. The feel is very pure with this sucker. Similar to the BB2 and it makes sense, they're both made of carbon. 4)Signature Train Track Limited Edition - I've said before, very soft, but to me, just lacks that nice little spongy pop feeling of compression i get with the others. If i had to choose one putter to bring with me to a tournament though, this would be it. Rolls the ball incredibly well.........so accurate! 5)MC-2 in black with gold plated copper insert. Don't get me wrong, just because i have this guy in last place, doesn't mean it's not absolutely incredible. This is the most "clicky" feeling putter of the bunch. It's still a fantastic feeling, some may even like more. Looks wise, i love this thing and might rate #1 or #2. Looks play a big role with putters, so i do tend to you this sucker. I do find this putter to be the hardest to strike consistently though. Most likely because it is very long from heel to toe. Hope this gives you some insight. Once again, i think a putters feel has a lot to do with grip composition, thickness, perhaps shaft (not sure) and definitely golf ball.
  21. Ya fair enough. I'll buy that. I'll also take the best feeling driver ever made over an extra 10-15 yards any day. I'm looking to buy my first set of Epon Irons. What would you guys recommend? I actually hit my Mizuno Mp-37's better than my Ping G2's and Callaway Fuisons so i'm not against muscle backs. I'm guessing a smaller surface forces me to focus better. I find this with heel-toe weighted putters over big mallets etc as well. I know in baseball, many times coaches (only the very few good ones out there) will tell the pitcher to not just focus on the catchers mitt, but an individual, much smaller target inside the pocket of the mitt. It narrows their focus and creates even greater pinpoint accuracy. I'm guessing this is why some people, although not great golfers in terms of their handicap, play better golf with muscle backs and blades.
  22. No no, i'm not blaming anything. I love my Epon driver so don't take offense. I still hit it out there about 320 with it. I just find it shorter than a lot of other drivers i've used. I have it shafted with a Roddio. I'm looking for others thoughts/opinions, that's all.
  23. What's the story on Epon distance? I've heard so many contrasting stories that it's impossible to form any type of conclusion. I own a Technity driver which although i love the feel of, naturally, i find it to be one of the shortest drivers i've ever used. However, i also own the Technity 3 wood which i find is one of, if not THE longest, laser hitting 3 wood i've ever used. I own a technity wedge and a Copper X wedge. Both seem to be fairly standard in terms of distance. So i ask you, what is the story with their irons? Are they on the short side or the long side? I would think they would be shorter than "normal" simply because of the extreme soft feel in combination with the high spin. That's purely speculation though. Someone come out and set the record straight once and for all here, does Epon make the best feeling gear but at a cost (distance), or is their lineup perfectly fine in terms of length?
  24. God i sure hope not. Although this new "traintrack" is extremely good at rolling the ball and thus ver accurate, I don't think it compares to the honeycomb feel. Maybe that's just me though.
  25. Ya it's not my favorite putter, not even my favorite Bettinardi in terms of feel. But if i'm looking for the best spinning putter and most accurate putter i've ever used, this would be it.
