Thank you. you just saved me $200:)
  3. thanks jason i will certainly look into that. its not on my priority list at the moment as i am waiting for new iron shafts, new wedges, a ryoma fw and tons of existing shaft experiments to play around with on my hybrids. in the last week i have tried the di95s on an epon 902 ( too stiff plays like an x ) dgsl300, ns950 ht, nspro 850fw. problem was the same as the rc, miles of the tee but disastrous for me on the FW, gave it to my dad and he can whack that sucker. hes a sweeper. going to revive my adams pnt2 tour version head this afternoon. it will be mated with a px5.5 hybrid shaft. cant wait to get over with this so i can move on to better things.
  4. locally we have a lot of jdm junkies, surprisingly they are mostly young and are able to navigate the web so they are exposed to the real deal haha. i have had my share of comments about my clubs. epon, yururi, golds, shinagawa and many older gentlemen touting the latest callaways and tittys all comment how tacky and fake sounding my gear is. oh well i dont even want to get into a argument. of the older gentlemen that are familiar with jdm, they will usually sport the older Daiwas, swords, yamaha, prgr and xxio. honma though being the most popular.

    SOLD

Tom wishon old skool carpenter steel 18* super driving iron. this is old school usdm gear, one of the longest driving irons i have ever hit. solid steel no composite parts, plays longer than 18*. reshafted this old beauty with a DGSL- XP high launch s300 hybrid specific shaft. you want mid stingers that dont want to go anywhere but straight this is it. the muscle car of hybrids! id keep it but already have the 19* version of this shafted with a px5.5. asking $130 shipped
  6. with all the new tech im using a 6 year old driver. the old is new again i like it the fex is a bit looser (flexwise) but you get mostly all carry, just the way i like it. very hard to push it left with this one you can really go at it and get balls that just soar (think head has something to do with it) i would rate this at par with the no P 9003 but the 9003 was punchier and longer but dispersion was erratic. the FEX proto is just electric with a glassy sensation(80t) the p9003x on the other hand was a beast of a shaft. 273cpm of pure piercing ball rage. thats the best way i can describe it, low launchers that sliced thru the wind like the silver surfer, balls apex was slightly lower but you get tons of roll out. i liked it very much and wish i had the brawn to use it. the P9003 IS THE IDEAL SHAFT FOR SUB 400CC DRIVERS had the best trajectory, the best flight, best dispersion, best distance. quadra fex proto 2nd. i guess the p9003 could be in the caliber of the heavy crazy sigmas ( no experience with those tho) but they are cheap and one could easily experiment with them. i know i have
  7. i guess your right. if you can afford it, make it sing and blast your drives past your playing partners, then its a bargain:)
  8. Well its been months since i updated this post, i havent been using a driver for the last month due to the fact that i was totally dissapointed with the P9003X in this head. others would lynch me for saying that but i found the P a struggle to use. i easily had one of the longest drives ive ever hit but that was like 2x out of 10. i wasnt getting the carry i liked but got more roll out. i would say that the P was just a bit demanding for me, as stew says they are the formula 1 of shafts, unfortunately my ss is only for indycar or F3 at best:( i very much enjoyed the non p 9003, that was smooth and a freakin joy to hit, nice high launch with a very explosive kick. but alas i get tired of things and have recently went back to my original choice months ago. how ironic, i could have saved myself the trouble of 4 shaft changes, and a fistful of $$$ so back to the original bad boy FEX PROTO 75S. This is everything i am looking for in a shaft. nice and hefty, high launch, low low spin. flex is just right at 265, although i could have handled an sx but that would have been on the verge of demanding. i just love the fex so much, i wont bother trying another shaft in my drivers. playing my 380 at 45" D2.
  9. thats peanuts to some folks:) they certainly have a following and crazy could be the new honma for our generation. status symbol to those that can pay for them. BUT 8K for a bag is just CRAZY!
  10. that is good to hear, you using the "P" you got from me on the miura? do you plan to leave it there or re-use in another head? i think the RC head is the problem as you were hitting lower drives with your 13* yonex FW right?? so whats next?
  11. nice to hear, i had the TRC in 17 and 20. reshafted the 20 with steel ns950, had better success but i still couldnt completely hit it flush off the deck. probably my fault(swing issues) but i have none with the 901. its less forgiving but i can hit it better than the trc. sold both my trcs. right now i am still searching for the perfect 20/21 deg ute.
  12. how would you rate this with the RCs trc or any hybrid hybrid? i take it its more forgiving than a driving iron type like the xut or 901 but where exactly does this fall in? a cross? sorry i havent seen any of these buggers in the flesh. right now i am still using my 901 22bent to 21 as i hit this noticely better of the tee than any full blooded hybrid as well as off the deck. i have such a descending blow even on my hybrids that i have absolutely no success with full fledged hybrids.
  13. what shaft are you using with this one?
  14. What abt the other bag w 9 drivers? Are your playing partners used to it? Haha What happened to thinning the herd?
  15. hes a very closed minded chap i bet hes a kbs tour rep and not an nspro one. most will usually bash products they do not carry. you run into a lot of them in all fields:) and honestly i would choose nspro and its many variants anyday to the kbs. its a feel thing. many like the kbs feel, im one of those who like the nippons smooth punchy feel. you cant please everyone
  16. the ns750 is an awesome idea, i actually shafted my old driving irons with this one and feel is amazing.
  17. i hope he chimes in here. im thinking of going the economical route and trying them in my 2 wedges. i currently use DG spinners and would a tough act to beat. would you know the playing characteristics? spin, flight and comparable flex with other brands? seems like theres not enough info on the web.
  18. has anyone tried the wedge shafts yet? these could be the most affordable method of trying the shafts. pls let me know i would really love to try these shafts
  19. can you post a pic? dint even know they had this. too many tempting drivers nowadays
  20. that would be a good pickup. being OC but the + may be too long for my needs lol. sourgraping haha
  21. also wondering about the price of the crazy steels. price?
  22. looks like its indeed for the more athletic player. quite deep compared to the ryoma.
