im starting to feel the pain of the mat range, unfortunately the closest turf range is my homecourse which is about 45mins away. no way il make that trek during the week. the mat range is just next door

well i have reshafted all my hybrids with nspro 950 HL mainly due to the weight. most stock offerings in graphite are in the 55-75gram region and that is way too light in relation to what i play. big mistake was ordering my utes in 65/75 gram upgrade graphite only to pull out and rehsaft to steel. they had a steel offering which was way cheaper, should have gone that route. anyway i have been happy with the steel, tighter dispersion is a bonus but what really helped was my timing and tempo. no need to adjust to the weight of the club which in the past would wreak havoc on my swing. BUT nowadays most top tiered shaft brands now offer graphite utilitily shafts in the 90, 100g+ region. so i guess these will make choosing shafts much better for those who like the heft and feel of a heavier shaft. i know i do i have several tour ad DI 95s shafts at home ready to be used.
-
actually i bought a used pull so i have absolutely no idea on how the shaft was treated prior to me owning it. i take care of my clubs , just as the next person, no special treatment but i do however take the necessary precautions such as what idrive mentioned. on a side note i used this club a lot in the mat range a lot and under the mat is a hard concrete surface. gary warned me about the surface and is one of the leading causes of shaft failure. i also have a descending blow on my woods and have some slight divots even on my 3w. so likely all of the above including the shaft pull all contributed to the failure. i from now on will only use my irons, hybrids in a mat range.

DI , DJ ,QT MD, QT any low mid kick shaft would be awesome if i were to choose one over and over the Tour ad DI. mid high launch with low low spin. probably the best shaft for the fairway wood at the moment.

thats what i thought as well but they have beein making fakes ive seen the wedges, now the 502s. oh well i guess if there is a market they will make it even if its not so mainstream.
-
Guys i friend of mine emailed me some Fake epon 502 irons, i confirmed that they are counterfeit. stuff like this comes up once in awhile in ebay and other online sites. this is a better copy of the epon wedges that were being sold in the bay some time ago. to the untrained eye they look authentic but upon closer inspection the tell tale signs are: 1. the font of the sole are wrong, too deep, dark and bold. 2. the face of the cavity has a slightly different font albeit slightly 3. cavity has a different finish, smooth as opposed to slight metallic paint with specs. 3. cavity cut outs are slighly more angled and countoured. even the shafts are fake! if in doubt about authenticity contact the guys at tsg or your epon reps. remember if its too sweet a deal, and price is too low then its probably fake

Jeff the tour ad di is amazing in a utility, I have a 95s in my royal collection. Very very smooth and stable. U won't be disappointed. Nice high launch, what's The point of having a stinging ute anyway!

They have utes too? Wow. You gotta take some pics. I want to see have they look like.

Anying one playing the GD Tour AD DI shaft in a 3W?
Spoon replied to wmclarenf1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Wow! The di is very powerful in a 3w, best shaft I have tried after the qt green. Feels almost the same , mid low kick that gets the ball airborne and very low Spin, height and traj lower than the qt lots of roll. Brilliant in the 3w but I suggest Going DJ in the 5 and up as roll is not what you want. These shafts are ushering a new era! -
Their hybrid is very good. Even the stock shaft is ok. Dead straight and very long. For me best valued hybrid
-
Well if you do keepme in mind
-
It's ok, value for your money for surel more of a fairway finder Than a splitter. If I dint try the other jdm these would be tops Unfortunately I have.

What length do you play your driver with the prototype? I used to game my 102 w 65s at 45.25 With the 380 will do around 44.5 or even 44.75 w the proto 75s
-
Bob I was a 65s liked the flex a lot but found it too light so moving up to 75s, the cpm difference between the 2 is only 2cpm 258 and 260 respectively. I was actually hinking of going sx but with such an expensive shaft Was thinking the 75s the safer route to go to.
-
You already have the yamaha and your proto in the 102 why not just try the proto in the yamaha? If it works then You won't have to experimenter you can try the di7x since it's pulled already and try it in the yamaha. My suggestion is to try the yamaha and the di7x. It's one he'll of a shaft. IMHO the Di ended the and the newer Nano tech shaft offerings from GD ushered in a new era of shafts.

Installing the gd di8s in my ping k15 today. Will have updates For you soon, I loved the quattro 75s and i think I will like this Even more due to having less spin. Updates soon. -
I have had great success with the FEX proto but after awhile I found it too light I hink the 75s would be the answer and shaft to end all shafts for my driver.

Akira Fairway Review 18* and 21* - First 36 Holes
Spoon replied to bogeydog's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Bob, I am really considering these woods, however its the 3w I really want. Since these can be slightly bent and adjusted I was Thinking of 15* but having them bens it 1* weak and 1* open. Just concerned about the height of the face as I don't want it Super duper deep. Hopefully u get yours and make a review. Looking forward to them. Was also thinking of getting the 13 driving spoon for tight holes and just using a 5w from the fairway in lieu of a 3w -
I am actually considering the akira 3w. Just waiting for some actual user feedback on their 3w
