i knew the m40 was too soft to begin with but i wanted whatever they had and the m40 was it. even the fubukis were all sold out. should have been more patient. my dad tried my club and the m40 is perfect for him. he wants the 17, unfortunately on the website of prgr they only built the 17 in m37. since they play at 43" was hoping there was a fubuki upgrade and i can just swap shafts with him. two birds with one stone! PRGR has a winner here unfortunately they grossly underestimated the demand! willy wonka did not make enough golden chocolates!

hit around 20 balls with my new egg spoon. well what can i say, it is a vast improvement over the old spoon. sound is superb and feel is very good. but what sets this apart from the previous spoon is its forgiveness and radical shape. looks uber futuristic and the v sole works on tricky lie. i find though that the Epon ht feels better to hit but both are equally forgiving. hit it in the range matt, off the tee and even from thick carabao grass to simulate tight lies and i wasnt surprised how easy it is to pick up and launch the ball. only drawback was the m40 shaft. too light and was launching the ball too high. i should have been more patient and waited for the fubuki alpha shaft. oh well that is spilled milk. will game this on the course tom and do a shoot out with the af202ht+ redboard shaft. i want to see which is longer amongst the two. both are pretty forgiving so i will concentrate on length. i have a couple of shafts to replace the m40 in mind. i will keep it in the 60+gram range region as i like my FWs on the softer lighter side. mainly: 1. Oban devotion 65s. Mid launch-Mid-low spin 2. Oban Kiyoshi 65s. High Launch- Uber uber low spin. ( Tested this shaft on a 102 10.5 had a trouble launching it because of lack of spin and wondering if it will work with the 3 wood. 3. Matrix Ozik f6m2. ( Got influenced by Supo67) 4. Gd di 6s. Have one for the driver but i am hesitant to cut a $380 for this experiment 5. Quadra fire express FW 65S. (dont have one but can get one) mental gymnastics is very tough and i am going nuts trying to find a perfect mate for the spoon

New egg Spoon sound at impact video and basic overview
Spoon replied to gocchin's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
thanks sir! the sound is night and day with the old one. i love it, sounds like a sword being unsheathed at impact! -
yup the same seller is at it again, bid for items before. thank god i lost. if its too good to be true then it most likely is. also prgr doesnt usually sell components so a head being sold for brand new is always suspect especially frm a dealer in HK who specializes in headcovers:)

Yeah i heard. i have one coming. too bad its the stock m40 shaft. those fubuki upgrades are so rare
-
anyone have these pulls let me know. will use on my 3 wood.
-
yeah there is this guy in ebay selling fake eggs and prgr chippers.
-
i have one coming as well shafted with the stock m40 shaft. i wanted the fubuki ax shaft but they are harder to find than uranium:) i am not the type to jump in the bandwagon with the egg spoons, i had the old one but did not like it one bit. but this new one just sounds perfect. im so obssessed with yardage i could not resist. hope the stock shaft is suitable. so i dont have to use all the back up shafts i already have for it

nice pretty line up and amazing tests. you really did save us a bunch with all your testing and meticulous reviews. either way they are all winners. curious to see what ends up in your bag after a weeks time. have they improved on the sound of the new eggs?
-
c, i saw the cbs in the proshop, please do give your comments on this club. im very curious and have a set of shafts that need new friends. does this play more like the epon 3 or 5 series irons? thanks and looking forward to your reviews

ok now i feel ripped off hehe. i thought for a moment they were an authentic tiger woods iron gamed by him. my bad
-
that is cheap, you can even flip it for a very healthy sum. if thats your sort of things. its most likely gone
-
if they are authentic get them. hell get them and game them. i know you love them blades so this will be cool in your already filling garage lol. what were the shafts?
-

Shaft length for EMS, any suggestion?
Spoon replied to Jerry in China's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
it was either the tape or getting a new head with custom weight. unfortunately i had the head already -
after seeing the pic i thhought, MR S did it again but realized he did not get to take it home hehe nice description, i have never hit a whiteboard as well but have heard that its stiff but has an incredible kick, how was the 70x compared to other shafts? could you see yourself playing this shaft? was it crazy stiff compared with say the the GD's in x? i have a couple of shaft experiments tom unfortunately they are not diamana:(

Shaft length for EMS, any suggestion?
Spoon replied to Jerry in China's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
i am on the same boat, with my old ems i added an additional 8 grams of lead tape to the head to bring up the swingweight to around d3 at 45". i can do with 45.5 but choke down anyway so 45 for me is ideal. i probably will gain distance with a 46 3/10 tries but would opt for the more consistent length. -
for sale is a gently used mint japan ping anser forged 5-pw Black dot ping awt steel shafts. my dad was really curious about them so he purchased them even though they were steel (hes a graphite user) anyway after 2 weeks he said he was more comfy with his rapture J's so hes asked me to sell them. very very good condition, i tried these out and they are very forgiving . shafts are very good. $950 shipped gets it

these arent from epon:) i also asked about a combo option although possible i was advised not to. due to the fact you will have to bend the shorter irons 2-3 degrees or more strong. this would severly alter the bounce.
-
now these are my kind of lofts. C, im really curious to see how these play. once you do get a chance id like to know your personal thoughts on playability, feel etc etc compared to say the epon af302/502s. thanks

Focus RS 500

i like it. how much did these go for? i personally find though that the bodykit doesnt quite fit whats under the bonnet. a beefier kit would be more sufficient just like the older escort cosworths or even the new kick azz subara impreza wrx sti
