C, i know you have tried all the FW woods but how does the 13* egg stack against other 15* fw woods? i know they are crazy long but are the 13s easy to hit off the deck? never owned a 13 before but i may have the oppurtunity to pick one up soon w crazy f80 shaft

guys what a surprise today has been. a client of mine left his PRGR egg spoon 13* with an upgraded Crazy f80s shaft. man this is the combo i have been wanting to try for the longest time. he is asking me to sell it for him since he just purchased a Epon non HT13*. his complaint, club was too long for the short course he plays. the price he wants is soo ridiculous i am thinking of picking it up for myself. i have never tried an egg spoon but i am excited an apprehensive at the same time for fear it may kick out my 3HT out of my bag. also i would have preferred a 15* but i cannnot be picky. the chances of someone practically giving away this combo away is virtually zilch. i dont even know anyone with a crazy shaft in my country. anyway really excited. finally i get to try an egg spoon:)

i say try the 11* and playing it at 43.5. there is no point trying the 17* degrees when you have the spoon already. for me the 11* is a make or break , i guess everyone is interested in the 11.

yeah , most of the guys items are generic neoprene covers(fake) and he has a egg fw wood? did they even make em in 18*?

great addition to the blog, watched the video and it looks very very iteresting. i wonder how forgiving the #1 is. no matter how shallow it is it is 11*. would like a review soon. i am really curious. thanks T.

NEW Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana Stinger Prototype
Spoon replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
very beautiful looking shaft. i do agree the S flex still seems a bit stout. interesting to see actual reviews of this vs the WB. price is way beyond what i am willing to spend on a single shaft. and i thought the DI was expensive -
pictures please. that is interesting.

what shaft was installed in the adams 7.5? were these fairway stingers? been wanting to try one of those -
well based on what you mentioned about yourself i can say for certain that a lighter shaft could defintely improve your distance. seems that the nspro950 is hampering your distance, before you consider graphite why dont you consider a lighter steel shaft like the nspro 750? this will have the feel of steel and have a lighter heft. this will defintely give you more distance than your current shaft. if you decide to go graphite, there are many graphite shafts to choose from and pick something with the right kickpoint and flex ratings for your particular SS. thanks and good luck

ok guys i have about 3 rounds under my belt with the af202ht. using a stock shaft machline FW 65s with it, this is a very big improvement over the previous generation 201. over the years by go to wood was a 17* kzg wood that was shallow and relatively easy to hit, this one is just as easy to hit and although it is 15*, picking up the ball and launching it from virtually any lie was very easy to do. i was really surprised. the first shot i hit with it was on an incline ball below my feet and pulled of the shot. have since used it in the rough, ball above feet, fairway etc etc and it is stupid easy. there is a different sound when you pure the ball, a sound that is metallic twang defintely absent in the older af201. got used to the sound after hitting very good shafts. with the particular shaft combo i got a nice high launch trajectory which is what i like. was able to hold several greens as well . love this one you could probably use a different shafts to get your preferred traj but the machlines are decent in my book so will most likely keep them as is. so in short, the 202 has lived up to my expectation. the shallow face is exactly what i was looking for. i dont know why anyone would choose the regular version of the HT. Ht is one of the easiest clubs i have hit. i havent tried the spoon egg but for not i am not so curious anymore:)

guys found one already thanks

wow! i dint even know these were forged in kyoei:)

sorry the bounces are as is and the heads have a tolerance of about +/- 1 gram . @TSG'er whats your take on the supposedly laser hardening on the shoulder to increase spin? based on the litreature on the blog, RPM is about the same as the 208kgx.??

guys in real life it looks a lot more shallow than the pics. i was quite surprised. a lot shallower than the current af202 non ht

i am using a mixed set, my 4iron is 701 and 5-pw is 502s. the 502s are not much less forgiving than the 701s. they are pretty easy to hit so i had no problem with 5 iron up. i had an old 4i 701 head laying around so i decided to use it. no complains.

too early to comment as i only have range time with this. am taking it to the course today and will hit from a variety of conditions, fairway, rough etc etc. il be back

Been struggling with the small stick as of late. after 3 years of using the same putter i am putting it on a vacation why i try other things. i am very picky with my putters, sure i got into collecting before and several other members have landed my prized possessions but i did that for a reason. to kill the expensive hobby before it got out of hand. i dont regret selling those putters and relish the thought that its helping someone else sink putts. with my shinagawa anser typle putter i was extremely erratic in the last 2 months. to get good results i would have to manipulate my strokes, was too mechanical and posture was too crouched. i lost what i was originally good with which is to putt by feel. i became a human robot and we all know what that is like. like my shaft experimentations i decided to research on what putter would suit my style and stroke. unlike my shaft experimentations i did not have the luxury of buying shafts and selling them to the next jack if it did not work. to sum it up i was suggested that i try a heel shafted blade. what the *^*(^(*^)_%!!! i was so turned off by the looks, was never a fan of the shape, and did not want to experiment with this head style. But after getting myself tested i was recommended a heel shafted putter. what the heck I welcome the yamada razor. 347grams of putting bliss. in the practice greens it really worked, i felt less mechanical and was putting by feel. sure sure this could be another stage called the golf equipment honeymoon, or it really works or all of the above with a dash of placebo to the mix. who knows. all i know is that i will keep it if it works. if you have any questions just shoot me a pm!

finally! good choice bro. cant go wrong with the 701s. have you decided on what shafts you will be using?

thanks its a bit of a mess!

chris is right, today will be a good year for wedges. there are soo many to choose from and for all kinds of players and playing conditions. i agree though on his comment about the epon 208kgx. they were not the easiest to use an opening the club was suited more for skilled players. hopefully the 210kgx addresses that. since they are conformed to the new groove rule, i am curious to see how epon claims to have the same spin rate despite the rule. also i am curious to see how the laser hardening on groove shoulder supposedly increases spin. i had all kinds of wedge brands for my 56/58 but my gw was always the 208kgx 52 bent to 50 for more offset. since i mostly use this around the green and for anything between 100-115 i had no issues with the bounce or grind. i recently shifted to a 54/58 combo 210kgx. will test these and see how the new groove rule affects spin on full shots on fairway and touch shots from the rough. also hoping that this will be more user friendly especially when opened up.

good luck with sale. price is good considering how much they cost new. btw what did you use to oil the wedge ? baby oil?
