Lol! not going to comment where i got it all i know is its awesome! actually i got both drivers because i am a equipment junkie and no junkies fix can be quenched unless he has a taste of the finest offerings of technologically packed gear out there. it so happened epon had them and i just had to pull the trigger. Both are fine drivers but i give the edge to the emb even though i use the epon af101. i also had the zr460 but did not adapt well to it due to the deeper face. it was also significantly less forgiving compared to the emd and a little less than the af101. i will say this again that the emb is the longest driver i have ever hit and straightest too! the af101 for me is just as long but not necessarily as straight. lets just say that with my pals i usually play the af101, i just love it for personal reasons just as much as others would love the emd. but when going to a gunfight or money is involved i will take my emb any other day of the week. its like a tomahawk cruise missle that finds targets far far away. ok maybe not a laser guided tomahawk more like a howitzer:) in the end its a personal choice and i myself had the same dilemma as you. choosing between two equally good things is a tough decision. only you can answer that. but i made it easy on myself by getting both. that way no need to rationalize and play endless, sleepless nights of mental justification etc etc. now i have two awesome drivers i can use depending on my mood. good luck!

the af101 is a 460cc driver head. i have both drivers and all i can say is that the emb is for all kinds of players it is longa nd very very forgiving. while the af101 is still pretty forgiving to most drivers but a little less compared to the emb. its really tough comparing the emb with any other driver is becasue it is so long and straight, the better player may see this at a disadvatage becasue they can work the ball less. i however am not that kind of player, il take long and straight with lots of forgiveness anytime. teh af101 is also darn good and will suit those wanting to work the ball a little and for those who want a more tradionatl looking and sounding driver. either or you cannot go wrong with these sticks. good luck

i have an axiv x on an emb as well as the stock emb driver shaft. i actually like and recommend the stock tour ad emb shaft as it was specially designed for this high moi head. you cannot go wrong with either shaft though. good luck

looking forward to your reviews. thanks and have fun!

tell me about it, i have had folks complain that i was using a hot non conforming driver. i get tired of explaining to them it is lol

these shafts rock i have them and they are great. one of the better animals in the nspro line up. for those that what the feel of steel without the unwanted vibrations. they feel so buttery and smooth. maybe its the light weight or the carbon weave on the butt end i dont quite know. best feeling nspro shaft in my opinion. now if they can only add this carbon weave to the 950:)

Guys has anyone tried the qt-md in a fairway wood? i know they are super in drivers but havent heard much feedback in FWS. i am thinking of shafting my new 5wood with either a QT-md or a QT. i previously owned a qt75s but had to sell it as it was too stiff for me. as far as i know the only difference between the md and the qt is the ball trajectory. the md is suppose to be lower launch mid kick vs the qt's highlaunch low kick. is there anything else i am missing? fwiw im thinking of the original qt but that new md sure looks mighty tempting. i would like some advice from folks that have tried both. thanks c

i agree with drew, this is my favorite putter to date. i have the 006 makers proof 2/5. 370grams of pure putting enjoyment. i am a putter hoe but this killed my curiosity for more putters. i actually saved some $$$ in the long run

want to buy an 18* gfield hybrid head. i had one before but sold it. please let me know if you guys have any. thanks

on a surprising note my longest/consistent driver is the cgb r7 tp with accuflex evolution . i dont know if its the head, shaft or both, all i can say is that the shaft is very reasonable and outperforms many other high end premium shafts i have owned. you dont have to spend big to get big results. experimentation and an understanding of ones game and abilities will certainly pay off

decided to use the emb today at our local course. one thing made all the difference and it is the stock tour ad emb shaft. man this is special and a good match for the emb head. ive never liked the sound of the emb but this time it was different. i attribute this to the fact that i have never found more fairways til this combo. i am not known for driving very far but i was able to keep up with the long hitters and even outdrove them several times. after a performance like this the sound is negligible and it is actually growing with me. my bad shot is right but with the emb i was able to take out the right side most of the time. the other times i was not was atributable to my swing. the shallow face also helps but i learned the hard way that you are supposed to significantly tee it lower tha other drivers i am used to as i top balled several times leaving some marks on my crown:) anyway this driver will stay on my bag and it is very close to replacing my all time favorite ( r7 cgb). i will be using this on my wed game next week and will put it to its paces. will be back soon.

Spoon replied to languidcrane's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
carl no longer grinds other brands of wedges since he started his own wedge company. -

they both look fantastic, i cannot tell any significant difference nor any minute ones. both seem like winners! -

i beleive there is a set floating around. i think the owner is jim, he has some copper x wedges that were grinded by carlton masui. -
ut-85s shaft will be sold separartely. $130 shipped and paypaled

i agree with you. still trying to get over the sound.

just got a set of shimadas for my wedges and i was quite surprised by how they felt. find them a bit boardy not harsh at all but definetley not lively. their lightweight steelshafts for irons though are pretty good.

B, post some pics, we are all eagerly anticipating them. -
the three T's. i like it! i have been slacking of the gym in recent months and giving less and less emphasis on flexibilty and i can see the differences already. i'd like to beleive that there are shortcuts like proper technique but who am i kidding. gotta pay the dues! i will head to the gym and approach the game in a more hollistic nature. thanks this was an eyeopener
