  1. As already said, get a good swing session in for all you are looking at. The COMP is a ***must have*** Easy to Hit, big distance, great accuracy. Cleveland is not playing around with this club. The New Titleist E is a top performer for length and accuracy.

My problem with hitting the ball first is that I'll come in way to steep on the ball and I'll only hit one out of maybe 10 shots solid. At the top or your back swing if you attempt to level your shoulders off a little bit more and do not dive at the ball, it will allow you to take the right amount of grass. Hank Hanaey had a great tip on this using a model of Vijay.

  17. RICE, You are probably too step. Are you feeling a "Reverse Pivot" It could be so many things, this helped me when I first started. When at address, place 2 balls on the ground. One at the correct ball position and another 2 inches farther away from you. Place your club at the farthest ball, swing and make contact with the ball that is the closest. Try this few times with several different clubs. OR. Hand EYE coordination is a funny thing, the way golf glubs are made, we should all be hitting off the hosel. When you are at address, make it your FIRST priority to get your spine angle in check. Second, test your take away, are you on plane? Third, are you too close/far from the ball. Fourth, how is your weight transfer? Are you stationary, moving backward/forward? Where do you end? You want to end on your left foot! A little sway is not bad, it will actaully helps get you in motion. While looking at your ball at address. Focus on a alternate point on the ground. this could be a blade of grass 1/2 inch in front of your ball. Swing at that point. Your hands will follow the eyes, that is the way we are built. You may want to stare at a point that is at a diagonal location from the ball. 1/2 toward the target and 1/4 inch down. It may seem fruitless but if you have played baseball or football for that fact, you never really are able to see the ball hit the bat, you swing at the last point you saw the ball, football, when you throw the ball, you cannot be effective throwing the ball if you watch it leave your hand, you try and percieve the point of contact/delivery. It is odd how your peripheral vision works but it does. Let me know if this makes a difference, I found that my swing gained better consistency by trying to employ little things like this. It was all a matter of getting comfortable standing over a ball either in play or practice.
  18. There are a number of things that could cause this! Could it be you are standing to much over the ball (Too close)! Could it be you are bent over too much by hunching! Could be that you are pulling your head out of the swing! Could be you are coming too far from the inside! Could be your takeaway is not straight back causing you to reroute on the downswing and resulting in blocked contact. Were you fitted for the clubs? If so, again it is not the equipment! How has you last range session gone?
