Hooker Help
You are releasing your club head to early, work on timing. Try and delay your club head a little more or move your ball back 1/2 inch. Not a bad shot to have though! That is what Todd hamilton plays, look what it did for him. Dude went out and won the British!

Swing changes
I have been working tirelessy on Balance, tempo, takeaway, and timing. Over the summer of my 3rd full year of playing the Greatest Game and working with Tour Tempo late in the season, this has by far been my most gratifying season. Nowhere close to Tiger's level but I know what I want to do with my swing and I am happy with the fact that I can realize it and repeat it.

staying behind the ball
What I have done to remain behind the ball is to place the logo of the ball facing backward opposite of the target. I place it high enough to I can only see it if I remain behind the ball. This gets me in to the reverse "C" position to see the logo when I swing at the ball. For an Idea, veiw the image to the far right, ignore the comments. This gives a good idea of where his head is before ball contact.

nerves and shanks
How far the ball is from you when you set up is so overlooked it is worth a mention. if you have to stand up just before contact and you find yourself taking huge chunks of sod and your wrist start to hurt and the ball goes straight left or right violently clanging of the stick, You are tooooo close. If you are diving at the ball and standing on your tippy toes feeling as though you are throwing the club with your fingertips at the ball and it goes skipping over the sod at 1-1/2 inches you are toooooo far away. Use a 90 degree plane and keep your balance!!! | | |------------- | | Stand straight up, place the club straight out from your waist. (90*) Bend your knees slightly, lean over at the waist, create a 90* angle with you upper body and your club, keep the tops of your hand level to your chin. Imagin your chin is a plum bob hanging down to touch the top of your left hand. (right hand player) or your right hand. (left hand player). Extend the club until it hits the ground, you will find the appropriate swing plane for the club you have in hand, work from Driver to 60*. Just remember to place you feet closer together the farther you go down in clubs, your widest stance should be with the Driver and narrowist for the wedges. Distance between you and the ball will be determine you comfort level, you should be able to jump straight up and down and land in the same place you started once you have addressed the ball already.

long iron troubles
When ever I tried to sweep the ball I hit worm burners or skull crushers. If I treated the long irons like the 5 I, it gave me great shots. Know If I was hitting the long I of the tee, I would tee it up real low and perform the same stroke, good traj, easy to work as normal.
-
long iron troubles
I love my long irons, really keeps me in check with my ball contact. If I hit them well then I am on plane ands swinging well. I swing them as I would my 5 iron, down on top of the ball. Ball placement and swing tempo are both big factors in how successful you are with these clubs.. No tomatoes on my 2, 3, and 4.

BO SOX World Series Champs!!!
DoubleAA posted a post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearHow impressive was this team, 3 outs from elimination, then they win 8 straight games to take the whole thing!! Not only did they remove the "Curse" but they beat the most potent offense in baseball shutting the Cards down. Back from 3 down, win 4 straight to beat the Yanks. Take 4 straight games from the Cards close out a record setting, curse breaking, 86 year drought. Set a record for winning 8 straight games to win the title. First team to come back from 3 down to win the ALCS. Boston has emphatically exorcized it's Babe Ruth demons!!

coming too much INSIDE
You are getting "STUCK" coming down from your back swing, your hands are tucked too far inside brushing your hip almost. This is caused if you "come out of your swing" causing loss of posture or spine angle. Practice taking the clubs straight back repeatedly. Then Swing your golf club like a baseball bat and, you will see if you are letting your club head get away and you are not keeping it in line with your left arm. Your swing plane will become very clear. Really work on Tempo. Example: 1= Beginning of Swing, 2=Top of Back swing, 3=Ball contact. Simple yet very very effective! Don't sweat the mechanics. The natural motion will take over, the correct take away dictates the entire motion coming through! Pick a target just a foot or so in front of the ball, try and swing your club over this spot to keep your club in line, Lay a club on the ground to correspond to the correct entry path you want to follow. Best of Luck.
