  1. Actually I second that. Try to get the Japan spec as well. I compared the TM 200s in US spec and Japan spec when trying help my wife decide what to get. The Japan specs were better. Still lightweight and soft but the "balance" was better. I ended up reshafting my set of Ping Eye 2 BeCus in graphite for my wife instead. Came out at C6-C7 she loves them. Also if your mom wants extreme lightweight I played with an older female member at one of my clubs her Paradiso irons swingweight at C1-C3 :surprize:

TM Japan Rescue released about 2 years ago. Can be had for a song in SE Asia. 857 Pro Ti in mine. I hardly use the 3 wood now.
  4. PM Chris, He hooked me up with a great Honma seller. Shipping was a little costly but everything else was great with the guy. He can probably do a 5-SW set. I know they are available that way. Let your mom take a look at the Honma "Art Series". Her foursome will be so jealous. Thanks for that hook up Chris.
  5. You don't know how helpful that answer is. You are a great addition to this board. Thank you.
  6. William, I asked my friend he will only sell to me. He wants them close just in case he wants them back.
  7. Jeff, since you are already on this topic I have a 3 wood question. I have 2 3 woods and was planning to install 757s in them. However the 3 woods will be having different raw shafts lengths when installed. For both to play at 42.75" one needs the shaft install almost 3/4" shorter. I think this is because of different "BBGM"s???. The bore depth is the same on both 1". What tip trimming adjustment would I have to make for the to play similar? If I install both directly without tip trim just butt, which will play stiffer, which one softer? Any guesstimate how much softer? Thank you.
  8. Ari, I will pass. The only time I could get good air under the 8.5/757 was if it was on the "high" settings. The 8.5 loft combined with my loft (Lack Of F*&*king Talent) just don't get along.
  9. NP, still negotiating for the heads I'm going to put these in anyway.
  10. The putter was it bb2/napa style?....but gold ...yuck
  11. I wasn't really shopping for a driver. I really need fairway woods as I am down to 2 sets of FWs....the offer is tempting. I will hit my friends R7 again tomorrow and PM you if the club is still available. Thank you.
  12. I'm trying to move away from TM myself, I think of BSG too much when I see my headcovers, that is why I'm asking about the Wilson as well. I've finally moved the 300s and the RAC CBs from the bag. The RAC wedges are long gone. I just cannot get rid of their woods. Maybe it's the short insertion depths in the hosels or the nice paint jobs but they just seem to keep coming back to the bag. My last number 1s has benn R300 Tour, 510TP, and now I have a 580XD Tour. Now I am asking about a R7 TP because I hit a friends exact same set up the other day. It may replace the 510TP but not the 580XD tour.
  13. flex and what is the actual raw length of the 5i now (with the extension). I love the TX Tours and going to put them in everything.
  14. I was going to double check on the anywhere offer but I saw the Wilson Pd5 is now in your bag please tell me more about that stick and why it kicked out the R7?
  15. Do you sell head only? I already have pulls of my FW shaft of choice. 857 Pro Ti unless you have one lying around. PM me please.
  16. Thank you. I guess I was overreading to much about the rifle scale being based on a certain 5i length and that when the playing length of the rifle shaft is increased it plays stiffer and it is less affected by the increase in swingweight as dynamic gold because the balance of a rifle is 50/50 while dgs are 60/40?
  17. You are trying to start an argument from another point...proper fitting. AGAIN noone will dispute that a properly fit club will have more effect on distance than Cor. I believe the first poster asked if Cor makes a difference? He did not ask if a high kick shaft with high loft or a low kick shaft with a low loft head makes a difference. I guess I made an assumption that he was already fit properly and that he was only worried about Cor values? Please correct me if I am wrong So does it make a difference? You answered that in your post it does 10yards....but then you say it doesn't make a difference. Just pointing out the contradiction in your post. I cannot compare 300 Tour to R300Tour because I don't have a 300 Tour. I made a comparison to what I had personal experience with. I was also comparing the speed of which the ball left the face for me. I did not compare loft, trajectory, forgiveness, etc. I was just comparing my "perceived hotness" of how much faster the ball left the face. I was comparing solid on solid with as similar set ups as I have in my bags. AND COR MADE A DIFFERENCE.

Alohano, I've been all over all the boards I cannot find pics of the irons I saw. I just need to get feedback before I pull the trigger. I've sold a few things the last month. I'm down to 3 iron sets and 4 fws. These are the holes I'm trying to plug. How is the sole grind on your PRGRs? My other candidates are the Srixon I302s and Cobra SS Forged because of the forgiving sole grinds. I need something different from all the diggers I have (they seem to fit me though).
  19. Your post is contradictory. You say it makes no difference yet you say "if hit in the sweetspot high cor drivers were maybe 10 yards longer BUT if it didn't hit sweet spot the high cor was sometimes 10 yards shorter". "The right shaft and loft makes more of a difference". Noone disputes this. The question is ...... on the same head/shaft but different COR values is there a difference......You answered it on your first part for the combo and the swing speed that was tested by your Federation is was 10 yards. I bet at a higher SS or a better combination of shaft -head-loft it could be bigger. I play a high Cor driver because it is "legal" here as well. My R300 Tour just leaves the face faster than my TP. They both have Fujikura Six S flex tipped 1 1/4". The model you tested seemed to lose 10 yards on mis**ts. That could be a design issue. I find the newer drivers especially the new Cobras and the TM XDs to be more forgiving all across the face compared to drivers of 2 years ago. A lot of amatuers may not benefit from Hi Cor. There have been several discussions on whether Hi Cor benefits slow SS or higher SS more. But there still is a difference. For me it is around 10 yards carry but it seems to add a little roll as well.
  20. Jeff, Is it correct that rifles play stiffer when they are built longer? By how much? Planning to hard step 5.5s then build at 38"5i. What would that come out to?
  21. sorry about that. How is the sound on this is it as pingy as the us retail? Sorry just saw this thread again now. I have not hit the US retail. But in my opinion most of the Japanese heads that have lighter shafts have heavier heads and somehow feel and sound better than their US counterparts. I used to play a Japan TP that originally had a 569 at D2 compared against my friend who has a US TP 757 at D2 we both think my TP feels better.
  22. You can order from Bridgestone the 3 and the 4 irons separately. I'm sure Chirs can help you there. I happen to know a person who is selling his 3 and 4 would you like me to ask?
  23. Duke, I have a friend who can bring me back goodies next week. He will be in CA for a week. Can you "certified seller" me something? Just sold 2 iron sets (Progressives and X16PS) and I am hole burning in my pocket. Just bought a 580XD Tour you would freak at the price (as much as I paid for my R7 Stand bag from Golfsmith) so I still have a little $$$ left over with nothing really in mind. The only thing I'm mildly interested in are fairway woods and always forged irons (something different from the XBlades/ RAC CBs, TM300s that I still have left)

Thank you. I will try to see if I can ask to hit them before I buy them.
  25. Played my first round with my 580XD tour compared to my 510TP there are 2 differences More fairways hit unless they are doglegs. 580XD tour needs a tee which is about 1/4" longer.
