My bad days are when I start to decelerate during the downswing. It's a running joke in my 4some that I have a 108 backswing and a 100 downswing. The times when I do feel the acceleration I get an extra 25 yards off the tee and about a club longer on the iron shots and they are a lot straighter as well. I think it is because most of my golf is played at a short tight course with lots of OBs everywhere or in another course which is wide and only medium long where the premium is on the iron game. I can play "bunt" golf because I can play shots (180 yard runners, 110 yard PWs that come in low but still check, etc.) with my irons and my wedge game is pretty solid. Putting is streaky. I just need to get back my solid ball striking. any drills?
  2. chris whats with the stock shaft in the FW wood. If it's a Japan Version Callaway it should be a GD. The JV Callaways have very good stock shafts.
  3. Search GEA thats where I saw it last about a month ago I would say. http://forums.prospero.com/golfequip/messa...ges/?msg=181017 Try this thread.

I brought out a sleeve of each out to the course to day. They play so similar it is uncanny. So i just got out my 2005BS catalogue. It says the X01H has 330 dimples. I left the balls in my car but I will check on actual dimple patterns tomorrow. Could it be another Tourstage =Precept/Bridgestone offering?

ooops my bad. I remembered the S and C forgot about the number at least the S and C indicate it is a Japanese forging which it in itself indicates better QC. I had no idea about the S & C, can you explain more? From what I researched before I bought my Cobras S--C was a Japanese way of measuring carbon steel. Compared to the usual 10-- used by American companies. Don't know if they are equivalent that way. It would make sense. It was pretty difficult to read japanese. Some things just didn't babelfish/alta vista real well. The Cobras do feel great but in a different way from my RAC CBs/X Blades which are terrific feeling clubs IMHO. The Cobras feel "denser" if that makes sense? They feel like the RAC CBs but with a deeper sound at impact. Switched them out to PXs couple of days ago. Feel changed. sorry to say not as good. Could be the weight from DGS300s to PX 5.5s at the same length. SW is now C9. I might lengthen as they are short anyway. ok so to recap, 1018 = S18C 1025 = S25C I see, wow thx.

  9. Chris, What are the real world characteristics of the X18? Is it conforming? I don't see a + anywhere to indicate otherwise. How much is that baby and what are the stock shaft options?

Japan's best are S25C!!! Surely you don't mean my Cobra Forged SS  currently waiting for the PX 5.5s arriving this weekend. Gentlemen I'm doing Ho'ing for the year. The only thing that seemed to interest me were the new X Blades but since they are no longer Endo the iron line up for the rest of the year is as follows. TS Xblades TX Tours S Cobra Forged SS PX 5.5s Rac 04 CBs DGR300s hard stepped 1X Z 101s (on the way!!!) with DGS300 softstepped 1X
  11. I use to play a BB16H. I was this close from getting that gauge putter from Chris but decided to go back to the anser style. My BB16H probably hasn't seen the light of day in 6 months. I'll probably take it out this weekend just to see what I end up doing with it.

For sure Maru's 23s will be Endo. But what about the retail sets? Time to start buying up 2004 model TS products. I hope it doesn't become a RAC 05TP issue, the RAC 04CBs were clearly forged at a better facility.

Nelson for Bridgestone? Chris can you confirm if this is just Bridgstone USA or all the line including the new TS Xblades and MR23s?

It would greatly depend on what shaft is on them. Honma model prices can change based on the shaft. Are these the blades? Couple of months ago I bought then sold within a day a set of PP 727s 3-SW with the boron shafts 9/10 @ $210. Didn't make money off it. They were just too short for me. It was a friend's price so I would add maybe 20% to get real market value. Of course they're easier to get over here.
  15. Also interested in bag. How much shipped to LA? Also are any of the 900s low bounce?

Let me know if he doesn't send them to you. I can forward the ones he sent to me.

I know the funny thing about it he bought a lot of new things but it ended up being a really old set that works out. Goes to show that in irons technology is not that big a deal compared to having something that fits you.

Joey, thank you. Our friend (Williy) is having a slight problem. He has a couple of new iron sets he is trying to dial in right now but is somehow playing his best with his guest set. A set of 10 year old graphite shafted Honma CBs. I myself have found I score better with blades than with CBs. That is why I'm going back to the Xblades.

Still available? The guy on the other set still hasn't gotten back to me. I'll give it 48 more hours.

I plan to decrease the lofts on my X blades by 2 degrees across the board to get better distance gaps with my wedges that are coming in. Aside from increasing bounce and raising ballflight what else will it do? Increase bounce=less dig (might be good on the X blades) I have been told it will also "lessen the offset" a little??? How will it affect lie angles? Thanks in advance.

I'm currently second in line for another set. I should know about them by Monday. If that doesn't work out I will be interested in these. pics please [email protected] Thanks
  22. Pete, I would be interested in the Zs more. I'll be in Australia starting tomorrow and don't know about my internet access. If you can have them email at [email protected] it would be most appreciated. Also if you could tell them I might not be able to get back to them right away. Thank you.
  23. Rizzo, I'm looking for the same 2 sets for my dad so I can take back the RAC CBs that he has been "borrowing" for 6 months now. Can you point me in the direction of some of the things you found? Prefer DGR300/DGL S300. Thanks in advance.

I went from R320 Tour> (2) R300 Tours>510TP>580XD Tour. I have hit a couple of R7TPs from friends. The first major difference will be the shape and size from a pancake/flatish/983K type shape to a more roundish/tourstage type shape. Next will be ball flight. It is flattish on the deeper faced drivers. If you like your trajectory with the R320Tour now i suggest you go up a loft on the deeper faced driver or set the weights to high on the R7 and you can set it to "draw/hook" if your fade turns into a slice. The biggest difference will be learning to tee the ball really high. Took me awhile to get used to that from the R320tour to R300Tour which was only a 20cc difference. All my drivers were square with the R300 Tour maybe being a tad open.

Will you sell the Z101s heads only? Do you have softer shafts to put in them? DGSL R300 preffered. Trying to put together a TS bag for my dad since it looks like I'm not getting the XDrive 390 back anytime soon.
