Chris the Cobra Forged are import for me while TS X Blade CBs are Domestic. :smile1: Ok, then for "import" MP 27s would be it.

Just shot +4 today with a brain fart-double on the last hole. 10 GIRs on a bad swing day so i would say Cobra SS Forged as well.
  3. XDs are going for about that on ebay so chances are it is real. I have noticed the most telling difference is usually the shaft. The paint and font is usually strange on the shaft. There is a fake Fusion in our proshop. It doesn't have the titanium part on the front end of the crown. Carbon composite looks like a coat of paint was added on top of it and the shaft says Segular Flex. I guess that's in between a stiff and a regular :smile2: and it's harder than the 757 X tipped 1 inch I have in my Japanese Rescue.

You must be thinking of another Toby (Tan I think???). I know there is another one on the boards. I've lived in the Philippines (3 different cities though) all my life.

The TS site says the S is the "lower trajectory ball" does that mean it spins less. I know it should be simple the S version should always be the spin version. It doesn't seem that way though.
  6. Get a Hi Cor version of a head size/shape and shaft that you are comfortable with. TS Marus like in your signature generally are not easy to hit on the sweetspot.

    PM'd you back.
  8. Some of those are pretty bad. They are guys in my club who are proud they got their OEM clubs at @ $300 for a complete set supposedly from "the same foundry". I can't wait til their shafts snap in half while putting it back in the bag or they keep hitting their 7-9-6 irons the same distance. I have seen heads not counterfeit but "blanks/unfinished heads " smuggled out of the factory then painted somewhere else. They are quality heads but if you think about it they are stolen property.

R300 Tour or R300? I have both used and can also get both new.
  10. Also check the headweights. Most older graphite shafted Japanese irons had heavier headweights because unlike their US counterparts they kept the length of the graphite and steel shafted models the same. They used heavier head weights to compensate for swingweight.

Which of these balls spin more? I have been playing the X01 exclusively for the past 6 weeks (10 rounds). Our greens are firming up and the X01 is just not generating enough spin at this point. Will the X01s spin more? If it doesn't I'll go back to the <UXs> while the greens are rock hard.
  12. TKS carries some of the Japanese Betts but TSG/Chris can get them at better prices!!!

This second hand info from the local Honma Dealer....Honmas have not been forged since 19??....its been that long....they however use a very soft metal/soft steel that makes it feel softer than forged....we need a confirmation on this though.
  14. Refinished and short shafted irons???? Where did you buy those? Sounds like something I did and after 3 irons just decided to send them to my driver to install so I could use them the next day, rgret that and then send them again for a reshaft to a real clubmaker. Joe, Please send Willy a 580 XD tour head. He keeps wanting mine. He has offered a few thing for it. It is just so rare over here and at the $$$ I got it for. Willy actually now wants 2 things I have....RJB 360TR and 580XD Tour/Six.
  15. Joe, You sure you're not 1/4 Filipino or something? Maybe just too many Filipino customers huh? Duke is coming down for golf and maybe to get married as well.....ask him to bring you back chicharon from Carcar, Cebu....they are porkchops disguised as chicharon. Duke, Getting married will cut down your Ho'ing (both golf and otherwise) by around 50%. You better do your golf shopping down here before you tie the knot. Just remember progear or golfdepot. Glorietta 4 Goldcrest wing. Toby
  16. The Joe Schmoe Country Club Tour??? But as for the shaft I actually had a "tour club" that was a XXIO driver that was shafted with a "GD for Cally shaft"

Chris, There seems to be a trailing edge and leading edge grind? Is that stock or custom? I have now found that I like my irons with a slight trailing edge grind.
  18. It just seems too funny that the TM guy is named "Todd" Beach. Are all Todd's into TM?
  19. How long is the 5i? iIs it stock Cobra 37.5" or more normal 37.75"? Can you PM me your reply?
  20. Good to hear that step 1 to last are all done by Miura Giken. So aside from the grind/shape there is no difference?
  21. IMHO Miura Giken and Miura NA are different BECAUSE of the different grind and toe and if I might be allowed to speculate maybe the chroming? Where are the NA heads chromed? anyone know?

I know what you mean. I have 4 drivers that actually get play. 3 others that gather dust. I tried putting the same shaft (Six) in 3 of them. Still not the same. Last time I ordered from you you handled it great. I'm deciding on a 3 wood and once I decide you will get my email from me.

Ken, Is there a shaft that you haven't tried !!! I'm thinking of abandoning my lighter shafts heavier heads experiment and going back to my old set up of DGs200s in irons and maybe 757 in driver or something similar. I am looking forward to consulting you (and of course purchasing from you as always) when I do. Have a good weekend. Toby
  24. yes we offer both shafts as options. All our sets are ground to you requested picalswingweight which I believe is better than typical blueprinting after the fact using lead to balance this out. Very interesting...so you blueprint by having the head match the shaft....meaning it is dry fit before grinding or do you grind to an exact weight then weight sort a shafts to an exact weight slope as well before installation? I would suppose the latter would make more sense. Can you send me an address pic of a long iron, a short iron, and your "transition iron", I mean the iron you discussed before where the set transitions from long to short irons that look a little different? [email protected] please. Thank you.
  25. Are these "blueprinted"? Do you offer the new DGSL and TX Tours as shaft options?
