Is it my imagination or does the Moart SS at this years show look strikingly similar to the Epon?
  2. Seems as though they outsource it, more so than others sans the shafts of course. Their designs seem very similar to models by others who do the mfg as well. Just speculation on my part. Then charge a heck of a markup... Love the shafts though...
  3. Have a set of Zodia wedges, can attest to the quality.
  4. Anxiously waiting to shaft mine up with the Roddio iron shaft. They are definitely softer than the '13 Yam or TS 909. Similar to the RR Pro. Because of traditional lofts, might be a tad shorter distance wise but not a lot. Grooves shred balls at least when new. Have an extra 6 iron if anyone wants to try it without investing in a full set.
  5. I think I have hat putter now,,,
  6. I think the Boron loads well for the smoother swinger, it can handle the speed but prefers fluidity to raw aggression… I have the Boron in an Epon Zero and that is what I learned from the combo. The newer Maxima provides better feedback on clobbering one, but have found it is best with a slightly stiffer shaft than you are used to. The SYards perform admirably distance wise as does the Yam v203. Hard to beat many of the top drivers out right now, shaft is the critical part. Put some newer shafts into older heads and can get marvelous results too...
  7. The Black Tour is the same as the Proto 519. I have one of each, the 519 is in the old Epon Technica 380 and the probation model CBT is in my XV. Very similar characteristic to the Sigma with a little bit more torque to it. Remember that shaft you had Crazy replace for me in that Kasco head. The one you hit with iDrive in HI. If it is the right weight and flex for you, I think you will enjoy. It might be my favorite Crazy to date...
  8. Great looking set there Stew. Just got reacquainted with the 9-iron, sucks that I had BE build issues with my set I might still have them...
  9. So when do I get to try it?
  10. Nice looking clubs there Craig, hope they made it in time.
  11. Saw that and thought same as you ant... Other than finish could be the same club in pics...
  12. Please, pretty please with a cherry on top, can I get a prototype too? That sounds like a dream, club. 3 wd size driver loft… TRPX X line X flex just waiting to go into it...
  13. anyone, bueller, bueller….?
  14. Picked up a 22* type I and 19* type U and am suitably impressed with performance so far. Cant say the sound on either is my preferred tone but the ball flies off the face with a great trajectory and ball speed. Have the Elaster shafts in S and am content to leave them in for a bit. Will start the season stock upgrade shaft and see how long they last.
  15. What besides the weights define the differences between the shafts?
  16. There is some offset at address. I would not classify it as a lot. I think the color of the finish, shape of the hosel and grind along the leading edge all contribute to the perception on the amount. Can I be any more confusing?
  17. I have an extra 7 iron if you're interested in giving it a whirl.
  18. Damn, just when I got happy shafting up my Kamui 3wd this comes out…. Why can't they make a compact blade? Then I could get back to gaming a full bag by one mfg... Oh, and how much?
  19. Don't have the 2010 so can't tell you on that front. Here is a pic of the Personal, TS 909, PDG, Yam '13 Tour… All 9 irons The pic is a little misleading, I think visually the PDG might be the most but it is an illusion. The grind and finish on the PDG make it appear more pronounced than it really is...
  20. So I finally shafted a few of these up with the Tour Attas 120X and have a solitary 7 iron with a Roddio i10X. Considering I was playing in mid 30s temps with frozen range rocks and concrete under turf I must say they are soft. Also, the grooves will take some fur off the ball. Seemed to launch with an arching trajectory, at least the short irons. It is unfair to comment on the long irons as I think the shafts are a touch too stiff for me in them.
  21. I had a Quadra Proto 65X in the Maxima V-Type for a little while this past season. The head itself is very easy and the stiffer shaft really helps the flight stay down while preserving the remaining characteristics of the head. Had originally put a WBQ 75SX in it and was a tad too high, the LS Noir should be a great combo for it. Good luck with the experiment...
  22. Have a 70S, raw is 44" you could tip and still play ~44.5" driver...

I play 85g or heavier in the UT, preferably 100+ when flex is good. Favorite UT shaft right now is Roddio i10 or i8
  24. Wife only let's those out in special occasions, like Haley's Comet or perfect alignment of 3 or more planets.
