  1. I am in the process of moving to an all Elite grip setup, bought like 30 some odd of them not too long ago. Really like the grip, moving from the GripMaster Leather Tour Classics to the A50s. If you try to add too much weight, then you will hear/feel it strike against the inside of the shaft on contact, but otherwise up to the limit is great. If you need more just use on of the other methods... Wow starting to hijack the thread...
  2. I can tell you now, you did not make the right choice as it was not the '09s. Not to mention you will be back here next year making this decision all over again... Happy New Year...
  3. Depends on if you wanna go low tech or high tech... Low tech, they make plastic plugs you fill with tungsten or lead shot.. Elite makes grips you can add some weight to using lead tape. Balance certified and and a couple of other outfits make brass/steel inserts. For graphite shafts in S or X the first two options will prolly be better. You can do it just for SW purposes or you can use it to also impact swing plane... I use it more for swing plane than anything else and am using 44 grams in each club... Bear in mind you will be sacrificing the grip...
  4. 2 words for you... BUTT WEIGHT
  5. Don't you guys have a standard spec that you get clubs made to?

  7. Not to be confused with Sulu....
  8. Would think there is no reason to get them shorter and bent to your spec. Might bring down the SW, but that can be adjusted with tungsten powder...
  9. If you're willing to go graphite, and based on Stew's comments on the Thumps being spinny, I would encourage you to try the Attas Tour shafts...
  10. Just put one shaft of each type into only one head… Higher launching shafts in the longer irons down to the C-Tapers and SP Blues in the 9 and P...

  12. I have tried the Aero, C Taper, and Modus 3, as well as the SP Blue. On trajectory alone I give it to the Blues. For a blade the Personals are easy launch, that combined with higher SS and height is a challenging combo for wind. Plus the blues are underrated for feel.
  13. Have bad memories of Jaeger… Great going down, but seeing it again is not like finding a previously lost Epon golf ball...
  14. Was thinking the same thing. Hopefully the forging side will continue to evolve with new techniques and technologies, even if the design torch follows to S-Yard. Very much looking forward to finalizing the purchase of the .388 with Gocchin since Tae won't buy an extra to sell me cheaply....
  15. As always, great write up Stew. Am curious on the "in the wind" comment. Do they launch too high, or something else? Is it possible the S flex is a contributing factor there? If you put the Personals and these Yams on similar planes, then if that holds for me too, the RomaRo blades might be my club...
  16. As the heads are different in nature it is tough to compare ball flights. The Proto 519 is in a Ryoma V-Spec and the trajectory is piercing to its plateau then a fairly rapid descent. The Boron is much more arching all the way through. Don't have an issue getting a draw on either nor do I think either has issues with excess spin. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to do side by side compares yet... So your question of which do I like more is equivalent of asking me to tell you which of my kids is my favorite…
  17. Might explore a truly custom set of clubs, sit down with some engineers at Endo and go hog wild...
  18. You have these and RomaRo Hs on order?
  19. The dating was happening without me, I'm just getting people out of the closet about it...
  20. You think I need a couple of extra spaces between the "a" and the "round"? Or maybe you should stop drinking those UK pints....

Was provided with 12 free drink certifiactes from the hotel because i travel way too much and I only have one left to use.... Besides all I have to do tomorrow is get on a plane and make it through customs....
  22. Are you as passionate about your bindings, board and wax as you are about your JDM?
  23. My thread my story... Have now played 2 rounds with Potuna, almost a round with Doc. The first time, we got paired up with this random doctor from NY. Fairly conservative fellow and about midway through he asked us how Potuna and I knew each other. My response was, "through an online dating service"... The double take and odd stares we got from him for the next couple of holes was priceless... But by the the time we finished our round he was hitting on me, jokingly I hope....
  24. So out of curiosity, who have you met on TSG and subsequently played a round of golf with? And what is your best story about it...
