I'm suprised that with close to 120mph club head speed, he is not getting more distance. On a US launch monitor (that is typically juiced up) he would be getting close to 330 yards

let me put it this way... the yam v 3wood is the an amazing club. paired w/ a heavier dj shaft you can go at it as hard as you want and it will reward you will a rocket like feel.

does the metallic blue color on the shaft extend all the way towards the butt end of the shaft?

After 9 rounds, my impressions: I've never hit a 3 wood this well. The head w/ DJ-8 combo is just a killer off the tee or fairway. Up until now I haven't found a 3 wood this accurate and long off the tee or turf. The subtle twin rails on the sole really help "glide" the head off the turf... DJ-8 has the perfect amount of weight for control and tempo. The trajectory is mid launch off the turf but just goes and goes and soars to its apex at the end due to the added spin of the DJ shaft. Now the dilemma is whether to hit my driver or the spoon on sub 400 yard par 4... Once again head/shaft amazing combo!

I didn't know an American site existed but I just got some K's HW120 wedge shafts for my SDJ Type Bite wedges in the "black" finish...Great shaft. One of the lowest launching wedge shafts I played... Much better then the NS WV 125....

I went with stiff and it feels different from other shafts in that it feels very "lively"

mine finally arrived yesterday and quickly shafted it with the Quadra FEX proto 75. my thoughts after today's round. -nice compact head, easy to set up square -impact feels so soft!!!! -don't know if it's the head or the Quadra or both but whole set up seems so effortless -Quadra feels lively and so smooth two thumbs up!!

the 3 wood arrived yesterday and my impressions after today's round: -the face is nice and compact with a good balance between not being deep or shallow -impact feels crisp -DJ8 shaft is nice and hefty but adds a bit more spin then the DI. almost perfect fairway shaft. -very boring trajectory off the turf. so far so good...

For me it's been more about getting the proper shaft weight especially in my woods... I noticed an improvement in tempo, accuracy and shot dispersion as I moved from 65g to 75g in the driver, 75g to 85g in 3 wood and 85g to 95-105g in hybrids. I might have lost a few yards due to the added weight but that far outweighs the control I feel I have during my swing. Bottom line is my index decreased which is the most important thing...
