Shimada 120 black shafts arrived so my impressions after 18 holes today: Looks: Very stealthy looking when paired with the black SDJ head. I was blown away by how responsive the shafts were to a variety of shots. Felt firm but offered feel as well. Such a contrast to the WV125 which I can describe as a bit lethargic compared to the Shimadas... Two thumbs up!!

After 4 rounds with the Modus3, I can report that the strike feels better than the 1150. I would say it reaches a similar apex to the 1150 but it gets there in a more piercing trajectory where as the 1150 has a tendency to balloon at the apex. A lot of people have said it plays softer to the flex but the tip is very stiff so compared to the SP blues I have soft stepped and which have a tendency to draw on the short irons... the Modus3 actually has a straighter ball flight for me... Thanks to Spoon for his feedback. Saved me from ordering an X flex... It is the best steel iron shafts I've played.

Once heard that even amongst the pros on a blind folded test, only Greg Norman could tell the difference in 1 swingweight point.

Most jdm irons standard is 37.5" for 5 iron so you are 1" over standard. every 1/2 " = 3 swing weight points....

This putter was one of the best I've played and it's great when your rolling it well. Only thing is since it's so tiny once you start having the yips, so easy to blame it on the putter.

I'd be interested in how the transition from Modus3 S in irons and Shimada 120 wedge works out for you as I am converting from 1150S to Modus3 S in the irons and Shimada 120 into wedges when I get them. I tried the WV125 but hard to get consistency on partial shots...

Was thinking of adding '11 Yamaha V 14* 3wood to the bag. Anyone have any feedback on this club? Thanks!
