i thought the stiff 1150 played similar flex to the dgs300, most nippons do play weak, however i felt these were true to flex!.....obviously they are slightly lighter and the feel is definately superior!
  2. so are you saying that these are blank...to enable gauge to customize them for an individul? ie if i wanted tungsten ignots, initials etc etc...they could do it with this head?
  3. it hides the real email addy of the individual! people use it to disquise who they really are!!!
  4. Here are some pics of the newest gauge putter...the crafting balde. Notice how there is no stampings on the face, nor on the back cavity! looks pretty nice to me, i personally prefer the more square shape of the one but both should perform the same in terms of end over end roll! ps guys i believe tourspecgolfer will have these in stock soon........
  5. think your right too matt! silly me! xraes id really love to see and hear a review of a custom combo set of the 32s and 60s!!! can ya help us out!!!
  6. looks funky! but could never see it in my bag! to be honest im not sold on the whole milled face idea! any stuff i have had with a milled face ends up wearing very fast....therefeore the benefits dont last too long! maybe ive just had a bad experience!....whats the craic with the whole new cavity back sand/lob wedge look?
  7. lol another one! 3 wood looks class, hope it plays equally as well as the 200 and the v steel 1 as both these tm 3 wood were awesome! im in europe and i havent seen these in ANY shops! maybe your just lucky and got some in early!
  8. With the custom mizuno options your choices are unlimited! you have the choice of the 27s, 30s, 32s, 33s and 37s o and soon the 60s, all of which you can mix and match depending on your own preferences! you can make a great 2 0r 3 tier combo set...ie.. p-9 in 37 8-6 in 33 5-3 in 32 or p-7 in 37 6-3 in 32 but if it were me choosing i would probably go for the cutmuscle combo! 32s and 60s! also with any custom mizuno set you choose you can custom the finish, the grind, the topline, the bounce, the head shape...the list is actually endless lol! some of the sets chris has ordered in have been sick! they look so freakin good! ps make sure you check out all the stampings....IMO dont just go for the plain m stamp, as this is a favourite ...go for something truely unique! as far as shafts go i personally would go project x....as this seems to be the best shaft for my game! however the Nippon range from 950 to 1150 are excellent shaft, that provides super feel, great distance and all all round good playability! let us know what you decide!
  9. zodia.......do u have pics of the blemish? and will ypou ship to uk?
  10. chris do you know anything about the I-65 type 2? kick point etc....
  11. robbie just out of interest, did you get the viq irons or the viq forged?
  12. all of gauges irons are just as unique as their putters! the quality is top notch and IMO is unmatched even by the likes of tourstage!!!!!! If you were considering gauge design, since you are used to the x blades i would recommend either the 05 mbs or the new mb2s!
  13. tell us more about the katana! can you post pics here....roll good?
  14. more solid, the feel of it is different class in my opinion! with the kzg there were times when i felt that it was tinny! also in terms of looks i much prefer the viq, it is 450ccs but doesnt look it, traditional head shape and inspires confidence! i found the kzg a strange shape, its hard for me to describe because ive had so many drivers since then...but if i recall correctly it has a squarish toe! dont get me wrong, i did like the gemini when i had it, and although i wasnt comfortable with the feel it was a performer...however IMO technology has again improved from then and i personally can see and feel the benefits!
  15. yeah lpga topline is much mush thiner, and there definately is a round toe compared to the more box toe of the old version! also if i recall hearing....the sole is more narrow too....therefore it truely is much more of a players blade! beautiful looking clubs but you gota be playing everyday IMO! i was going to order a set of chris but then the mb2s popped up and i thought....these will give me the look of a blade, with thinner topline and less offset yet the same old GD forgiveness! please do let us all know what set you choose!!!
  16. personally i would wait till the bigger 450/460 head comes out because imo tourstage do a very good job of hiding the cc's of the club....ie my viq 450 does not look 450 cc! which to me is great as i get all the forgiveness of the huge head but dont feel like im swinging a house on the end of a stick!
  17. serious! .....w505 looks sweet, but im just wondering how do you compare the feel in comparrison to the viq.....? sorry lpga slightly off topic! my bad
  18. Phil the gemini 355 was an excellent driver...i had two of the prototypes both of which sat square! however they are long gone! i found with the gemini thatthe double face actually worked...and found it was super consistent, however the feel wasnt to my liking! Mr Zodia or Chris....is this a prototype x drive 435? i heard you saying that there is a 460 coming out in 06 but this is the first ive heard of the 435!
  19. lol dave your nearlly as bad as I! :surprize: ps get a viq 450.................soooooooo schweet....pure butter to hit!
  20. i previously owned a set of the x blade originals which i thought were beautiful clubs.....and i have not yet seen the newer xb2...however if i recall hearing they are a lot smaller than the originals, and will be much more of a players club with a razor thin topline with almost no offset! If you are thinking of getting a set i would highly suggest ordering of tourspecgolfer, as he can get you a custom ordered set with your specifics http://www.tourspecgolf.com/catalog/produc...products_id=675 or if you were thinkin of going down a different route i would highly recommend the gauge mb2s! forging is unreal, the angles of the clubs and especially the grinding!
  21. cool thanks bud! i think im best stickin to the viq450 as this thing is as sweet a strike as i could imagine!....its the softest driver ive ever hit at impact!
  22. is this the model they use in the tp rescues? if so i really like the way it performed!
  23. Guys ive been hitting this club my last few rounds now and i have to admit its a gamer.. i normally am i very straight driver of the ball, not that long but consistent. nothing changed with this driver in terms of accuracy or distance but feel wise this whoops ass! firstly id like to say the shaft in it is a w60 regular flex, which if i was honest is too soft...an s flex would be perfect for me, however the feel of the shaft is brilliant! i feel the kick in it through impact, which is very important to me as it helps me get the sensation of really hitting the ball! as for the head, its sooooooooooooooooooooo soft...i mean this thing is the opposite of the tm r7. when i say that i mean the r7 when hit poorly is very harsh....this just isnt, i feel the turbo rubber absorbing all the vibrations, meaning i dont feel the sting! the sound is different! it is unique..... muted but louder than say the 975 d! all in all im very happy with the club.....i may be tempted to put a w60 s flex in there but she will for the mean time!
  24. what exactly is the diamana humpty???? ive tried both the ad tour and the ns pro 950 and just recently the 1150.....all three are superb. AD wins for height, distance and drop n stop Nspro are definately more accurate...i would favour with the 1150 as it was very manageable and was easy to hit high, low, draw fade!
  25. Does anyone know the difference between the tr duo and the tr duo X? also if anyone has tried this driver id appreciate a mini review!
