Interesting Session with two 7D shafts today
supo replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
that was my fist thought as well. ryoma 7d but for a distance shaft u may as well go an all out distance head which the egg is exaclty custom built for ! my thoughts were 435 ryoma d1 vspec syard 388 kasco dna 340 epon 101 (which wud be INSANE!!!) 425 tour egg 7 my discussins with builder were i d get a quasy distance / control meld have it a little bit livelier in the tip than i usually go to get some long bombs going but use a head with a bit more control. like the eg of 435 or ryoma. if it were for out and out bomb well the syard ive used is out of this worldl. or the egg head which doesnt go left. such fun designing drivers....! -
doesnt really matter which way round they are i . can change them out easily enough i dont care i m not gonna play them any more. errrrn other crazy shafts no.., .. ive got a diamama stinger that was in a ute at some stage a hile back , thats a spare shaft lying about , i know that i got that from some loon old trendy older guy over here, he cut a stinger shaft to fit a 7 or 9 wood!!!! i persume he had the whole line up done.. thats ballsy!!!!

D no they were sperate entities i was trying out which shaft i preferd bec i loved the heads, these are one of the only ute heads i didnt snap hook! the crazy shaft is stiff ,the GD is X but the crazy is pretty taught it def plays a little tighter than a stock equivalent stiff . but its also def NOT an X. the gd i thought played slightly sub X flex so there wasnt really that much of a differnce in fplay flex both are /were very very straight shooters, they dont go wizzzing around trees in a a huge arc, they are very much point shoot. heads are in superb condition. i ddint really use them a whole lot. took em to hawaii with me and thats about it. benched em pretty much since.

2015s are a diffnrenrt kinda balde. remembrering the tour model is designed with the sole intention of being the best head playable for the yamaha pro fujita san. and hten thye sell a a cpl to the lucky retail few . yamaha of old was my fav brand. the o 2009 model i stil have and will prob never get rid of . 2009 was a GREAT year in JDM come to think of it the range that year was outstanding!

chiro u got urs yet ? -
right htis is very tuff, bec it costs so damn much to try a shaft. its so much about luck and reading other peole experiences with the shaft about the same swing chacater you have. if u want to go that route i advise u buy 1 shaft and try it in 6 or 7 iron, use it extensively for a cpl of weeks then decide, i alway try the 6iron bec its the club i use the most and i can see the flight better with it over a longer distance. im still looking into those MCIs, jus no sure how to best match them up. i thin i migh even put them in a set of blades and hard step them once., its a very expensive route going non steel, do ur reading

been a while.............. this season hasnt been great bec on injury so mixed it up a bit. not many of last yrs clubs in the rotation at moment. drivers, its been unanimously the prgr egg 7 and egg 1. these re NOT. going to be favourites with TSGers , but i cant get them outta the bag at the moment. Been trying to love the A-grind tiny headeded thing, and when i flush one it rates RIGHT up there with anything. very electric, very addicitive, just needs some seriosus game time, its not an easy head, but its beauty and feel more than make up for that, not sure if id take it into the game of my life tho...! but for resort games or with mates and no money its a beauty. shaft selection is essential to its success tho. fairway woods. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my nemisis. love them.. hate them .. trying to get the right combo has been my worry for eons. looks like ive stuck on combo for match play that is hard to break up right now ive got the 13* original egg spoon with diamana B 70s, this is mahooooooseive from the deck and a must game on long par 5 courses. this gets me a close as i can get, hardly miss**t it ever now. lower flatter and longer than the 15* ( which ive only just taken out 2 weeks back) in favour of the 13* and ive coupled it wwith another strange looking thing ,the new model egg 16.5* this comes on EVERY game with me now its a 100% er. its either the only fw ill use on shorter tracks. or as the altereante driver on longer ones when i just need to get it middle of shorties. ive shafted it with the quadra fire express 75xs driver shaft rather than the fw. and its been a match made in heaven, the original diamana thump it comes with is a magificent match for the 15* but i liked the qaudra better for the higher lofted one. the diamanthump in the 15 is just perfect in ever yway , from a tee its a beauty, and its only a 65s ................ yes 65s thunmp. cant beleive it , but its a winner, i cant overpower it this is shaft NO ONE ever talks about but shud!. the honma driving irons have been with me every match, depending on conds its the 2 or 3... the 4 is too high for me ive found. fantiastic alterante club, can easily hit the 3 off he deck , no worries at all. irons............... wel lthis has been an interesting selection ive gone back to blades pretty much exclusively. masda dominate , easily the nicest blade set ive played. not everyone taste, these just work for me so well. feel is superb, looks are beautiful shape is spot on laucnh is low, cant ask for more not much else is getting played these days. the srixon irons are getting bag time right now , but im working on shafts in these , these are finicky!. loee the shape , not satisfied with feel tho. must be the shafts, going lighter and stiffer. wedges...... always morphing, nothng really killing it. although prgr RS is gettign some bag time! syard bolds.... tourstage xwedge..RC dg ltd,.....fourteen protos , these are never out of eyes view. shafted with monacco or NS wv. they are seeming to play the best for me. putters. bought a miura mallet , dont realy like the shape , but im killing it for control. tourstage x-01z till i run out of the last 50 boxes i bought i guess means ill prob have to revert to bridestone ahhhh golf is life. -
there are a lot of differnt models ,whcin one are u after ?
-
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm the golds mod is a perosnal call. DO NOT THINK BY GETTING IT GOLDS MOD u will get more money for it if u decide to sell it. it wont these days! get it modified IF u love the putter and imagine keeping it long term.
