my swing speed is nowadyas id think its prob sub 105 id think . .............., t my swing is almost IDENTICAL in tempo to shigeki maruyama,, hes on the swing measuring machine at my range and when i superimpose me over him the swing tempo is almost identical , its really quite intersting, its almsot an exact match.. hes speed was measuerd at 102. i cant htink id be too much faster than him if at all. and i tend to get the fastest part of my swing at impact. , the payers i play with are SO much faster swingers esp to transition than i , but i hit the ball 20- 30 yards past them most of the time. i think.. bec of this i can play a varity of shaft FLEX without too many problems. my bud tends to decelerate milliseconds after hes hit the ball , so a heavier shaft for him and hes dead meat. like wise for me the lighter shafts for me tends to feel like spagetti. or iswing out of my shoes thru the ball and it goes miles high.

i had the diamanax 70s the diamana b 70x and the graphite design bb7x and the fuel 60x all out on the range adn this one was in its own league. im not kidding thepower it puts in the head away from the hands is sensational some times i get a littel thin feeling on miss**ts with all shafts and high powderpuff fades, well i got a trade mark on those puppies. but,. this thing just went thru the shot and sure i stil lgot killed high right but it went another 20 yards high right! its just such a lovely shaft to hit into, if anyone liks heavier shafts then they gotta get thier hands on one of these things. its well. its my new thang......,

the waccine gr88 XS shaft. what a great shaft. heavy , but i t doesnt feel lead like . a very thick feeling at impact. launch is low , flat and very very powerful piercing shot. was griping right down on the club yesterday and punching hard into the ball and it repsonded superbly. the jbeam 425 tour head is fantasic with it. its solved my search for the powefull striaght links buster club. the shaft was as awe inspiring at first imapct as the stnger was for me . its quite possibly the best shaft ive played

the B is higher launching than the BB by GD. the kaili is a pretty muted feel , not dissimialr the BB , its good for players of all abilities. u can do a few things with it. its not overly high. prob in between the B and the BB the kalils play sensationally in fwds

played the original in it for about 6 shots. while it was adequate . it was to whippy for me swapped it out for a diamana stinger boron in 70s. this went high and very long. played it in hawaii for a decent time and it more than held its own against some very big guns. only thing id think is it prob went a little BIT too high for those conditions every day. downwind tho, oh baby its nice !! shafted the other one with a diamanaX. lighter head same as urs 196 gram. this set up has been really good. lowered the trajectory and gained more roll. maybe tigher over all . as long as i dont try and wallop it it gets very good distance, but it not an ideal set up for me, as its too light. played this enough to know its nuances. calm days its as good as anything. as its just so straight..! but the lighter head works against me. thats just me tho. the better suited shaft is prob the stinger for me. . the boron makes this come alive, and its def longer. the crazy boron might be a very good idea. the stinger def is. simlar stuff. the diamana X is for control.

ONOFF 358 Fairway wood..... what do you think?
as an aside ...... i rehsafted an older roy coll bbd 17* 4w with a diamana ali islei 80s just simple fact. 256 out on sunday par 5, 5th at ishioka, GC hit the middle of green with height AND run. this thing has just ended quite a few of my other lower 15* fwds bag spots ...... permananatly ur SS that shaft is as good as antyhing ive hit is a fw. the extra height adn super stability. if uwanna play with a fw shaft thast get the bal UP then look no further best shot to a green ive ever hit. bar none ,flight was PERFECT . not as long as the diamana B but easier to control

yup and a fantiastic set up. these shafts are just a wee bit softer than the normal protos form NIPPON. so the ball can actually go a bit sideways when needed. the profile of ORA shafts for those that need to know are a low take off, (like a plane.......) then the ball peaks and literaly falls dead at the apex. they are prob the best shafts for shotting at pins of all the shafts ive used. and they are silky smooth. weight ithink is 125 gram (?) il check it but its +/- a cpl from there. as a rule NS protos play pretty stout, but these dont. these are prob the closest to "at spec " as NS protos come in.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
they might just surprise you. well not really ull just remeber them the second u hit them they spin PLENTY ....... every which way . very heavy heads. and they look the nuts.

laser milled face...form or function???
coops , so it more of an aesthetics issue than performance? thats what ive found so far. mine are still spot on. but def worn a bit . not as much as chiros tho.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
yes....................... yes indeed... im gettign mine re shafted with the modus 130 protos for EXACTKY that reason, high NO spin, thin sole. dead striaght. they going back home as well. too thin on the grass here in summer. to be as effective as on other surfaces i hit straight into the mantle. chunks of magma stick to the face. the marus get rebagged tis weekend, been too long..!

Maximia Type V review.
3 rounds with this now on differnt courses in differnt conditions, hot windy dry, hot wet still and just plain old dead set foookeeen HOT...! diamana X 70s. sunday was a tourny course set up for a tourney so the fairwayas were pretty thin it was a jack nicholas coure so ewhen udrive the ball well, u get rewarded iamagine that theres n otrees i nthe middle of the fairway of grass mounds at 270! a pleasure to play on hes the master in my book. played it from the blues so my distance measurres were most unusual. not sure where to aim. 400 yards shoreter is a hell of a lot to give back to the course ,esp from the drive. anyway fairways hit 11/14. thast sensational was a bit windy too so that fact is def magnified. was choking down most drives and punching this thing and getttign it centered most times. a cpl of good full swings and kapoooooooooooooow . very impressed with distance over playing partners ver yvery impressed. most impressive tho was the control i had when i just punched it 1/2 swing to get low scuttler running i have no need for a 3 wood with this driver now its a 3 wood killer form the tee. short punchy drives, not a problem old boy. the one remark i wil make in the negative is the feel. its very "thin" like paper thin and it doesnt feel like u get maximum bang for ur buck , if u miss the centre. but u actuallly do. if u miss the centre of it it feels weak , but it actualyl isnt. the middle is lovely , beautiful "thawng" to it. the convex face is right up my strase. i love that shape didnt realise how much i do everything i feel iwant to do with that head pretty much comes out. except no where near as much bec the diamanaX is so damn straight. now after plenty of work wit hit the bigggest issue alot of guys wre having is flight trajectory. im finding high toe shots baloon more................... than the vspec. low heel shots turn over more but still go ok. ive not been dead yet with one of those. ithink.......... i def think it launches HIGHER than its sposed to. or. rahter what peolle equate to what an 8.5* head should. deadcentere not a problem at all but slightyl off centre and it DEFINATLY goes high. the v-spec is much better over all control lower flight head. the vspec i dont think holds acandle to over all distance on this thing but the vspec is , i think ,a more relaible weapon for out and out control. the straigh face angle makes looking dead stright down a fairay much easier , but asyou all know im a weirdo, i need to see big arcs this suits my eye SO much better, that big rounded face say smack me baby!!!! lovin it fellas. loving it larrrrrrrrrrrge...!

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
yep but iuse a micro thin 60* lob there not the 60* bold. the bounce is too high for sydney. , its a bit clunky for kaikuya grass compared to the yururi raws. the prgr and these went very well on sudnday. although, the fourteens were brillinant match a cpl of weeks back, same kinda shape,
