Got my Epon Personals today. Compared to 302's
supo replied to Mjr. D's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
well............u will prob. lfind its the shafts not the heads. that make these not the best feeling. if uwant betetr feel then u might want to go the monacco route if thats the case....... just a a thought..... but seign as ur gettign gooddistacne id prob advise against it. i also think ,that being able to swing close to the speed of light ,the chemical arrangment of your ball might been altered from what us mortal humans can hit it at , if they are going the same distance as other clubs. .........thats a very big surprise...........all my findings point to the fact the pesoanls are at least 1/2 club shorter. ive got the ctapers, and i agree they dont feel that great but..., they are WELL WELL lower than both the monaccos and SP blues. ive found so far. ive elft them in oz as my wind breakers. they are unmatched so far on links. if u can get the personals high ur a lucky guy.. u get the stability of c-tapers with height which must mean ur gettign spin. which is nice to hit to greens....................., damn! distance wise im very surprised they are the same length as the 302.. the personals are shorter than everything i have. noticeably so. except the af tours.. they are prob the same as those. which i know are shorter than the302 i used to hit.., and the 301s i have. if u get more distance with them then DONT change id say..... and yes they are dead set terrific irons right,, so easy to hit as a hybird blade. good pick up.. may ur days be filed with epon bliss................ u wannt post some piccys some time??? -
white or blue.. still too busy...

FOR SALE... 44.5 inch built in easter last season, hardly saw a round . built on spec to try it out. surprisingly............ i liked it. but its sitting idle. this is one heck of an accurate driver . had no idea about the shaft but its 103 gram sinlge flex mid balnced high launch LOW spin got the ball out there a decent way but its about accuracy... its dead set TIGHT! had this going tiny baby draws all day the 3 times i used it. its in pretty much mint condition was soley for an experiment.. now i know somone else can have a crack at her. i the head was brand new. shaft form by guy in oz , and was built by my clubbuilder in sydney. does a top job ol virge... EMS $250

follow up on these irons , i thought id done a piece on them earlier.... i had them out last night with pretty much all my sets epon pserosnals tourstage 905 miura cb1006 yamaha tour 2010 yamaha tour 2013 yamaha forged 2009 miura cb5002 amonst others... the heads are small compact and fuller, they produce a veyr solid punch that comes out on the low side. the cavity is very much like the yonex cyberstar form a few yrs back. but smaller the sole is very thin.. they are extremely workabkle irons the loft are seriosuly "jacked" which adds to low shots, you df neeed another wedge with these! in comparison to the irons above for feeling at imapct.. i rate these behind the perosnals.......... and the rest behind them..... they are soft. they are softer then the yamaha and the miuras (not as soft as the epons) they look like they sit up at address toe in the air, like they are upright but they are in fact NOT. i like thta look,.........others wont. the small head frames the ball well and allows me to look at numerous options for movement.. the only detractor i can see withtis head. is the neck line. and im not sure what it is i dont like. its round as opposed to sqaure like the tourstage and epon, i think thats it. its ahrd to keep swapping and changing clubs every shot but when i just hot this club alone i like it a hell of a lot. i prefer it to the tourstage, and the miuras . id take it along with the yamahs its a pretty easy to hit club even for its size. bec its rounder and flows well, theres no sharp lines i rate this head very highly indeed in temrs of distance, control, and feel.

labo shafts are top drawer fellas..
-
i ended up hittign a LOT of ballswith it. the matching head/shaft combo was good. these go long fellas . it was noticeable how much longer this 6 iron was over the rest. ive got a pretty smooth swing . and it s slow , it seems to like the feel of this sjaft, i dint feel like i had to step on it to get it to go. i hit a cpl where i really jumped into the shot and the flight was really really good to see. low to startthen rose abit like the oras or sp orange, but not as pronounced. still didnt like to make these move laterally only a small amount. the monaccos in comaprison were huge arcs. ( they arnt obviosuly but in comaprison they looked like it ) one thing i did realsie... the diamana thumps are too light for me...!
