well its that time of year again.(and again. and again..........and.................................,) ozyy links time! my favourite time of the golfing year . back home for early chrissy ths year, have to back at work on chrissy day. yup just horrible but alas thast the way the tourtage z-01 ball rolls. so..... last week and the next 2 weeks ill be fine tuning the alreayd finely tuned sticks to see who makes the annual links cut....! thinking about irons opnly at this satge irons....................... well the field is as always , vast.. theres a cpl of newies. theres a cpl of oldies. and cpl in between. ive made a point o playingall my sticks these last few weeks at least o nthe range if not on course. a cpl of miniscule re jiggs have made a humongous differnce. iew.... taking the perfect pro cord grips off the DP (thin shaft) kmaui kp-01 in favour of iomic x-evolutions , a bit thiker and shorter, made HUGE difrence to the feel.. HUGE differnce. and taking the lamkins of the NS 2f15 yonex in favour of the perfect pro cords like wise a bit positive change. funny how such a small thing makes a huge change.. but it does..! so the contenders for this year......, kamui pro kp-01-- 4-pw mad lofts the pw at 44* t(o me thats just insane!) 2 sets one with monacco, the other with NS proto DPS. yonex ezone-- 3-pw reshafted with a set of SUPER heavy NS proto 2s14x, damn theset hings weight lead, but what a great feel at impact. NOT low launch, these go pretty danr mid, very reminscent of the KS shimada tour 120s. liking these babies a lot. the same heads with NSproto 2f15 x . prob my fav shaft. high . straight mid heavy weight. a joy to play every day. epon personals--with NS proto c10s mid launch heavy wight VERY straight. a fantastic combination. no point trying to bend these babies about. just point shoot bec the WILL not move. and the monacco in X . my gamers of gamers. my mack daddies. my widow makers. enought said about thes things these ARE numero UNO... the rest are playing catch up. miura 5002----after trying every miura blade over the last cpl of years these are the ones that stayed. its just the head shape that ddi it. shafed with x-100 and NS protos2f15 x .. these will beVERY strong contenders. yamaha tour 2010--------monacco X ive had these at turtle bay for 10 days and there wasnt a trick they cudnt pull a breeze they didnt cut thru or a gree nthey didnt hold. dont need speak more about these bec they are PERFECT for windy conds. PREFECT. tourstage 905---monacco TX the baldes of blades. ive had them im on before and they go sublimly esp on a bit tougher drier summer grass. small sole and thin head makes picking them clean much easier and not bouncing off the deck. strong contenders again.. and last but by no means least........... yamaha tour 2013----shafts unknown at this stage, im prob going to go with the monaccos X bec they are just so relaible for me. IF i can get these in time then 100% these will be coming, cudnt think of a better initiation than longy i n the breeze... all of those shafts usaid wil ldo the job except for the fubuki, its a hooker. the ahina is awsome and cheap. the BB is fantastic, the GD p9003x is incredible but it will go high. and thekaili is my choice ofthe lower end dshafts i nthe yamaha head. but its not really an anti left. but its not a turn it over shaft. of these............ the GD BB would be my bet bec its the newest

nah man if they are there.... they are there.. end of chat.. these dont grow on trees and they are expensive so yes. if theres a manufact issue then i think uve every right if u got it from new. chuckit back soon and miss the winter cold. have it ready for the masters ! but ot me it looks like a damn nice putter , the piccys dont show the rust.

the crazy f14 im starting to reacquaint my self with as well. VERY small pear shaped head. 13.5* loft. but its surprisinglt easy to hit i find i hit this much more consistanly than the HD even. the face i love its small but its full and high i can mentally picture movement either way, i cant do that with the egg. im liking this a lot and i have a pretty steep attack angle

more to do wit hyr wing plane. if u have steep decnt then the yamaha and rc are super but i guess if uahve a more sweepeier stlye the egg is prob unmatchable. i love the new egg g but i STILL cant get it right. ive gone back to the kasco.

nope not heard of them and they dont look like anything i can picture.... maybe a kyoei v-muscle ? the top line looks simliar. but the sole looks thinner

id say 1/4 max. more htna that get "weird" i have set of 2010 yammy tours with monaccos X 3/4 over what i play at 38.5 inch 5 iron and i find half the club is sitting out the end on my hands.. i get about a club more distance with these things.. i havet cut them to spec yet . they just sit there. i dont know why but i take them out to the range fro mtoime to time nad theres nowway id paly them at that length id be all over the palce wihthtem .. 3/4 is FAR too much to go

egg+ one other is prob the end of ur search for fwds. yamaha or roycoll. gee thats tough. look at the shape of the head u like as u already ahve a sleek egg , then id say a thicker stlye would be a good foil. which is hte yamaha.. if it were only one piece then the new roy coll would be perfect. but thats in between both the egg and yamaha seriosuly doesnt matter .both of these heads are awsome.

1/4 is max. need to see the weight of the yama heads hopefully they arnt like the 905s which are a light head . ,, too light for me. ive discovered. if they are like the epons then woooooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooo were quids in with everything

still not sure about the new yammy tours.. dont think ill put the diamana thumps in them they are only 95 grams, and i msue to playing 128 + now....., but they are very taught.i had a hit with my tourstage 701 irons tonight and they went like a dream but they ahve NS 950s in them, which is no damn good. they are the likely candidate for these shafts as these heads will get a lot more use going forward. depenedning on what club- sensei says of course... his recomendation it paramount to my build the comment about u being abit paranoid is prob un- true but.... depending in yr height. i dont htink it hurtsthat much by playing 1/4 below what u htink is stock, id do that on prupose for control and its been great , when i go back to " stock" length i feel the club is def too long esp i nte long irons.. im all over the shop. if u dont neeed heaps of distance with irons then the slightyl sohrter shaft is perfectly ok. just go heavier. .
