cant help u with the 707.. but i can give usome clues as ive got and palyed the 701s. if ur a pretty good stirker.. dont have to be awsome.. just good ...,then u will LOVE these irons . if u like no offest. medium body head.., thin top line .. VERY thick muscle on a thin cavity. with a square look.. then theres no reason u wont like these, bec to hit.. they are really really good. they are very workable. the sole is realtively thin .. thinner than the yamaha tours and epon 302s and such so they are prob aimed at the better plAYER loking for smalls forgiveness.... i saw the 701s and liked the fact they didnt have t all the "modern" ness to them. simple lines simple design that , when u hit it is delicious... im guessing the newer model is prob more forgiving... if the 701 is anything to go by then the new model will be terrific.

the photos are yamaha 2009 inpres forged irons im sure some guys will have an older sets of yamahs lying baout they might want to upgrade.... doesnt have to be 2009.. all t he years are great just a differnt cavity design... i played all of the yamaha irons and these and they are all really good. can not fault a yamaha -
oh yea.. all m yfairway woods are driver shafst cut... a LOT of deriver shafts i find i prefer in 3woods than in drivers. the kaili,, the ahaina.. ali islei.. fire express, roddio s7.. these ive found suit me better as fwd shafts
-
veyr dioffernt shafts the proto was lower and a much tighter feel. very veyr tight. i think i liked the original better.. but the proto was prob a better sutied shaft, it dint seem to go as far right on misses as the FEX. but he FEX is just a ledgend shaft for feel. i think i f i had no predeliction to slicing id prob only play the FEX
-
no... the ones he has are different.. il lask him if im allowed to pop a cpl of photos up. i have to go back in tonight to ask himn some driver questions anyway

over the last few months ive used all my hoard of wedges and the wedge shafts i think are good but a bit light for me are the NS WV 120.. these things are good for spin. ..yes.., i get good spin with them. and the ks 120 wedges shafts area lower launch. and get good spin.. but im thinking these are still too light. afterplaying some super heavy 135 gram shafts and liking them its very hard to go back to normal weighted shafts but i nthe lob wedge... i wont mess with that bec its going so damn well. im ordering some monacco 8 irons shafts................,
-
Thats the one.i have thst driver and its damn good they changed thier name? They still have solid contacts as thier name onthhe door Thier emblem is a sheep right Thier showroom is interesting looks like showsace forchanel But with 6 driving range.bays and clubs displayed everywhere Nice guys and the heads i saw i know already from other makers But the blades look good real good Wont know anymore till i can hit one They have ryos clubz all over the place No rush but when i can hit one ill have more to say

hang on, before someone else does... bec icant find the smiley thing.... ill start this with..... ******* this thread is worthless without pics ********. i guess you all cant really imagine my smile when one of my favourite small time clubmakers moved shop to less than 1/2 kilometer form my house. and then multiply that by a gazzillion when he decided to make me........ a prototype 6 iron blade.... to take to oz over christmas................, to test....... and a 2 wood and a driver............... unfortunatly i cant show piccys of the head but put it like this my jaw dropepd at its shape. no words till i get in mid dec. and hit it but it looks really, really good.. somewhere in between the yonex ezone back and the roma-ro head shape. NO offset. true blade. beautiful lines no mumbo jumbo on the back weighted to MY specs and my loft ; lie its a true proto. gee i hope it plays ok.... bec im very excited.. i wil say thier drivers play very very nicely mine is 11*... its getting a P9003x. its got humongous carry! btw.... they USED to make heads for crazy. and ryo ishikawa so i guess ........ they gott be ok huh.. well see.......... T u got any info on them ?

supo replied to luting_chen's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
right............. this or the jbeam 435 II suggestions? -
gotcha.. ok im onto it..
-
i have noticed that i can play the fire expresss in a flex DOWN.............. not up like i previously thought, and i get much better results. its longer its bit whipier but thast good beci i can get my hands thru the ball aqnd not slice as much......, the 75s ive had sensational results with since coming down flex.... i just need it on a head thats closed.. oh the kamui por kp-x............. with this shaft it was scary long. but i had it in the wrong head 9.5* open for me = utter disaster! 10* closed and this wil ltake some equalling

ifu like the precetps( i didnt even know what thye were) i had to look them up ... but they are from bridgestone.. well if u like those then try the tourstages range. the tourstage like the miuras are differnt to the US than we get in japan. i have no clue of any miura USA model. except the 1957s. totalyl differnt to the ones here. the 302s are superb stickstho, iunderstand ur thoughts long term on those... a WTB add might just get u somehting interesting perhaps. ???? and ill tell u a set of older 301s................. they are a little less forgiving than the 302s ull def get for a good price. check these out. i play these back in oz and they are mustard........... non tour.. rounded look and suoer easy to play . workable. control got the mshafted with a set of these KBS protos in black nickel.. high long super soft to play ,awsoem sticks when long reef ground is sodden .. these are LONG they must be 1 club longer than my usual sticks. the heads are superb -
im as delicate as drunkard in a brothel. but i geg ur meaning.bec in my 60 and 61 * wedges i use NS 950s with a thin grip and its been going sensationally. much much better thna my other 2 wedges.. the lob has been awsome. bec i only hit tiny shots with it . ok then... so if im using monacco X shafts what sud i be using in my 52 + 56 wdges.. is x-100 ok bec thats what i was going to instal.
-
the bb is nothing like the di what so ever. its not like any GD haft ive played its feels totally differrent. im a prettty big fan of it inadvertanly ive manged to find my self with about 3 of them in diffent pieces. one in my egg spoon, one in this driver , 2 in yamaha tour drivers. yea they are good. the quadra fex i absolutely love ............... when im not hitting fades.
-

no idea about the srixon line . i saw them when they came out and i thought they look great. i play the pro 100 baldes and they are very good irons i dont know if theres a local line they do or not, but i do know the price for my irons is def more expensive than the ones outside japan. 302 for 8o0. errrrrr u might get realy lucky..................... -
well i did, and i was thinkng bec i can hit down harder on he ball get it up higher and spin more. but all tha thappeened was i miss swung a lot and it ruined my WA ..... , very silly mistake. geting rectified as we speak. but if u use say 950s then u shud play x100s in wedges?

ok well looks like ur going to have multiple choices in the same line as those precepts...., epon 302 is a good thought. tourstage viq.. 701.. 703.. yamaha 2010.. 2009.... srixon ztx... theres a few i had a brief look at that might be of some interest.. u shud be able to get these for the money ur looking at.. shaft wise.... if u like the black golds , then the monacco wil be a very good choice. they have smoothness on NS but with a DG flight. in stiff flex at 122 gram they might be very good. monaco in stiff getting very hard to come by tho. -
jbeam 435 9*-- graphite design bb7s... 45 inch 315 ish weight(?) not exact bec the weight i changded in the back are all PROBABLY 2 grams each so the head is about 195 ish all up id hink... so 50 for grip and 70 for shaft yea 315 +/- a tiny bit.., played in conjunction with a newly built yonex ezone 9* with diamana stigner S flex... that was way heavier 329.5gram first the jbeam.., i had this originally with a crazy cb50 8.2 weighted in back to206 gram. needless to say.. centered shots withthis were monstrous. off cnetred went nowhere far to heavy far far too heavy for my liking. flight was crazy low . so instead of toning it down.. i thught why not go the whole hog and go uber light. id had a few range sesions with ti with some mixed results , wasnt sold on it, but as we al know that means nisssh .. range schange.., match play is what determines how a club really goes under pressure well this was a MUCH bigger pleaasnt surprise than i thought it was going to be. the flight was NOTICEABLY higher, but still on the low side. my head speed was significenat increased and off centered shots went MUCH MUCH better and longer. the good shots i got i killed but of bec of the swing weight which i think cudnt have been much heavier than c9.. .... i got it to draw , but i was aiming completley worng bec id never drawn it before.., yup a beautiful baby draw.. so i figure the shaft in it suits magnicicently.. its a superb match, just a wee bit more flex. gives the head the ability move a bit. and really sling the bal ...left... i stil cant believe i did this the weights in the back are JUST a bit too light , i think ill re do this to 320ish gram and this im guessign this will be about perfect. the feeling is noticebaly "thiner" at impact at curent conditions.than previous set ups which is SO SO SO SO dissapointing with this driver bec i have no reservations now in sayin this IS the kahoona of kahoonas for distance. only JUST over the kp-x but it is.. the ball flight was MUCH better new than previosusly . but still on the low side.. way way to low for most guys likes i think, but i like low flight. im used to low flight.. this new soaring style im working on is unnatrural to me it was nice to go back to basics.. the 9* i think IS too low a loft for this club as a genral thought... for pretty much most guys.. this really is a low laucnher. but . i have it for wind and i need JUST a bit more weight in it to get my tempo perfect.its a hell of a build but just a bit of modifying will def make this better. distance overall was awsome. it was def longer than the yonex. yonex was great can work this and rely on it thstigner amtch is terrific,.. fallen in love with mr yonex all over again.. cud have done with JUST a bit lighter to get better distance tho (why the hell they built that new thing is beyond me! the nextage is miles better than the 380...) for MY SWING SPEED at 47/48 mp/s- ..., the jbeam gdbb7s i can for see as a mgic stick.. with a wee bit more weight to about 320ish i think will make this perfect.. but how to do that with 3 weight ports..., thinking needed. but well worth it. i just wont be mixing this driver with a heavy one ever again..! if u want a new shaft for a jbeam,, the th bb WORKS AND FEELS VERY VERY GOOD. yea.. def 2 thumbs up fo this baby..

ive just learned in no uncertain terms.., that my crotaion policy of playing all my delicious clubs ISNT that good anb idea unless you blance ur clubs perfectly...! yesterday i came acropper BIG time... irons.., epon personals-- ---monacco X flex = heavy . very strurdy .very smooth clubs. delicious to play driver yonex nextage---- 201.6 gram head , 9* + 69 gram stinger s shjaft 45 inch @ 329.5 gram build heavy smooth , HIGH launch suited these irons perfectly.... pefection. open bag policy yesterday..., also had the jbeam 435 9* graphite design bb7s with LIGHT weights in the ports so build was close to 315 gram.. reason was , trying to determine of the change of weight made a huge differnce to flight and distance... so was rotating the drivers on differnt holes... wedges yamaha with NS 1150 X - light very steady nice and stiff. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to light to be played in conjunction with the personals i swung over the top of 4 , 52* wedge shots topped them all sent the mscuttiling thru the green like a worm killer from being dead centre of fairway 105 yards out.. im surprised people O/S cudnt hear my screams of frustration. ..., esp as i was hitting the yonex driver absolutely perfectly .....,long and straight FINALLY..! what i did discover was that going from the heavy driver.. heavy irons to light wdges and light driver equalled disturbing swing modifications that lead to snap pulls on the jbeam.. and topped wedges. so.. if ur going to play heavy irons DO NOT go to light wedges ,, and alsoe dont mix drivers with light nad heavy esp in a match,,,,, it doesnt work. all u do is slice the ehavy one and pull the pants off the light one. the yamaha wedges are getting a set of x100s in them . and the light stiff flex ks 120 wedge shafts are also getting pulled.. i cant get a rythem with them. as an side.. the jbeam is well.. new post to come...
