performance capabilities have pretty much reached thie full potential for every maker, right... so what makes one driver head """better"""" than another for me comes down to basically.... looks......... and what i want to design it especially for.. i the shape of the head for me is THE most single important determinant . bec they are all uber top quality that doesnt need saying......................., beceause if i can see the head gettign sqaure at impact in my mind before ive even hit it t , then the chances of me getting to do that when i play are massively increased. and thats why i took such a huge shine to the kamui pro kp-01 when i first saw it i just went WOW,, yes THIS is def for me..!!!! ... that "weird" non symetrical shape immediatly lets me see long crushed left field PULLS but the shape of the head doessnt actually let it go left.... and over the alst 4+months since i found this thing this head has delivered me consistant fairways with a much more midddled shot much more often than anything else i got..... thats why it prob goes a bit longer and straigter " on average " for me.., than my others. its def NOT my best feeling club , the epon zero is that by a country mile. and its not my straightest thays the ryoma nor the most workabkle , thats the yamaha tour. nor is it the longest. thast hte jbeam 435 but overall combining these just works .but if i hit 20 drives with every driver i have i reckon ill get closer to the centre of this baby more often than anything else. and ill prob get it longer on average thats why im using it certian drivers i build suit certian conditions better than others.. id never play my 9* jbeam 435 /GDbb7s on rainy days in japan in summer. and id never play my 12* kamui pro--bimatrix at NSW in a southerly .
  7. another................... on -off golf bag joining the already overflowing colletion. just what i need..........! love the on off stuff.
  8. gee ... we all got our horses for courses.... but i just cant think id part with them unless something catastrophic happend and i had to liquidate everything. even then they would be THE last things in golf to go. everyting else would go first. (well excpet my yamaha 5w ) id hide that so NO one cud find it...! the NEW yamaha tours , yes...... they might be .. a worthy oponent.

    esp........................... on the greens! hahahah
  10. yea that immediatly sprang to mind.. i find the perosnals are very straight as a rule , they dont really share too many traits with blades. thats why i kinda thought they were closer in style to the epon 302--yahama tour--- than blades. so the SP blue would be a hell of a match! yes damn good thought....
  11. hahahah..., hocko thats what i was thinking... light ... hig launch.. x flex shaft.. ive tried the crazy sigma 50 82 gram at 44.75.. was alsost impossible for me to hit it. slicematron..! so i know the heavier shorter option is OUT..!
  12. the differnce is pretty marked. ive played the NS c10s the DP X the modus 3 and the monacco and the monacco EASILY suit these heads best... i was quite taken aback by how much better. as a thought id be surprised if the X100s didnt go superbly as well. i think lower shafts in these heads as a general rule....
  13. cant play that length.... i was thinking of going hsort AND light 44 .5 inch and low 60s shaft weight ??????????????????
  14. i have a 8.5* kamui pro head................. 189 gram head..................... i want to keep this "just in case" i dont know.. im completely at a loss of what to do with it build wise.... length??? shaft??? weight??? swing weight??? never been this perplexed before. ive been going the "other " way for the last 6 months. thing is i used to sue a 6.5* titleist 905 driver for a long time .. so im ok with low launchers. but thats before iwent mad......... seriolsuy im stumped here suggestions please.............................................,

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the veils are being lifted..... so glad TT made a nice to play shaft at last . yea monaccos in perosnals def go better.. the modus tend to go high with he perosnals, the perosnals seem to be high launching so the perosnals keep them a bit more honest......... the modus in things lie yamah tours however are MINT... i guess lwoer laucnhign heads and modus are a good match.. modus in blades suit very well...

great stuff..................... have u had a 101 ? if so do uthink its reminscint of that shape , is it a bit workable, bec the 102 was point shoot and the 101 was a lot more workable i thought..,
  19. How much to do that? Im def sending one in
  20. finally got my tourstage 905s back last friday , i took the lighter monacco 122 gram stiff flex shafts out of them and inserted the 135 gram TX..... the stiff came out at SW c9 and while i played them well ,the amount of spin i was generating with them wasnt condusive to my style of play, iwas short. short on everyhting. 100% of the time, i was accurate. but real short.. in comparion to the personals i was about 1/2 club too short. and as the moaccos s dont go that high , playing a 6 iron instead of a normal drop down 7 i shot mucks with yr head....... i didnt realise this till i took the 6i with the tx and drilled about 30 balls a a cpl of weekendsd ago. with monotonous consistancy at the range .. the thought i got these from was doing the same thing i did with the yonex ezones. i took the x-100s out of the ezones ( seriously STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPID mistake! ) and played much lighter NS protos i was swinging out of my shoes every shot, so i put a NS proto 2s14 135 grams in and the differnce was startlingly better. so i figuered the 905s are light heads lets have a go...... l. distance was once agian back to " normal" flight was MUCH lower than with te stiff shafts , and the swing weight came in at d2.5-d-3 which is perfect. maybe slighty lower than i like i think iprefer d4-d5 ish now... but all clubs behaved much better. the 7 irons was 'spot on" the PW was great for all shots low back in the stance punch and a cpl of high lobs.. the ONLY think i wasnt 100% kosher on was feeling the head..............................................................., this is an issue for me.............................................., id played the epon perosnals for a week in oz with 130 gram NS c10s and the whole club felt heavy. for a weekend of golf. no probs but playing LOTS of golf over a week, i got very tired with these. and it becamquite noticeable loosing a lot of distance on irtons shots towards the end of the week. . i def. need somehting in between......, so going to a much lighter head was a huge difference. very differnt kind of feel. the answer lies in between for me.. my thoughts are.. if u have a fast swing transition the nthe lighter heads re prob perfect. but i have a very slow kinda swing and i get most power right at the impact zone so light heads kinda loose thier feel. the heavier ones i can feel right thru impact. and then i dont tend to over swing.. same kind of thing with my drivers... the heavier head slightyl lighter shaft x flex in monacco is PERFECT and the shaft weight of about 128 gram seems perfect. in heads like the perosnals.. the tourtage 701s... yamaha tours...that size head. the lighter heads makes me come thru the ball quicker.which for my tempo isnt ideal. the slightly heavier heads, i have more success with... the combo of the monacco and the tourstage heads is a winner winner chicken dinner.... for feel. its just that tiny thing id love .. a wee bit more weight in the head. just bit chunkier like the miura isms and id be a happy camper..! i cud very happily learn to love these irons as they are.. if i didnt have a multitude of irons already, and play them but continually swapping form difernt weighted clubs inst great for my golf. i hit the ball ok, but i was longing continually for something more "substantial" i was longing for my perosnals..................... i know my preferd weightings now and im sticking to them. if anyones has a lighter swing , then if u get slightly heavier shafts in ur irons then ur going to have a field day id think esp if u have a fat transition.. does this make sense?????????????????????????????? oh and hte tourstage heads are tops... gee they look good they feel awsome.if only they were a few grams head heavier!
  21. well thast the thing the kamui is longer . flew the fairway shot. im in a quandry...... bec the 10* yam was peerless. just not as long i think theres more spin on the yanaha thast the only hting ican think.
  22. supo replied to corky3's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
oh get out nad have a rangey bash at least.... im dying for details on this hting
  23. yea its got me thinking.. lets say..... normal guys can take a shot say 10-15 yards longer (closer to pin) every drive from the rough, and its pretty "proper" rough as well its nto airy fairy stuff. ur digging bit... or the shorter drive from the fairway or just off........... what do u take.... if its one of those hideous dome greens that everyones in love withthesedays then id take the fairway shot 100% of the time. but....... if its "flat" greens then the grip and rip i think would prob be better hows that sound?
  24. do u remeber the 17th.., the eleveted par 4 at fujizakura where the green is about 100 meteres i nthe air , just after the par 3 with water all round it ,we both went long... the next hole no 1 rank (off the tips 497 yards.. )we play it at 457 massive bunker on the right ? well i hiot 2 drives on ti one with the yamaha tour cb50 and one with the kamui pro the same beast i sued with u the GD 9003x shafted one at 44.5 inch.. well i didnt want to say this but.. i clobbered the yamaha tour.. got it straps and all. deaqd centre off fairway. lovely shot .. hit the kamui after and toed it ever so slightyl right . flew the bunker. flew the yamah drive... 17 yards longer in thick rough qall carry not a mm of roll. baron was like ''farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk..... why are u using anything else????????????????????/" i said bec the yamaha went dead centre, again.... hmmmmmmmm hes got a point tho...
  25. yea... an enire epon set for grabs, could also make a travelling set. ....... might email my mate...,
