i had a talk to the GD chaps yesterday about this shaft, bec i too have one of these clubs but i didnt t know any deets on the shaft i thought it was a special made for yamaha stock offering NOPE! here it is straight from the horses mouth its low mid-kick.ing .., for a mid high - high launch its suited for 42-44 mp/s swingers and its the same quailty and and price as thier other top shafts . this shaft alone retails at 42,000 yen so if this is around ur SS, then this is indeed a good shaft and the head,, well that speaks for itself is YAMAHA. is GOOD.!

yea ithink so. i certianly liked the fele , its impossible to know tho hitting into a golf simulator driving range 10 feet away . but yes iwasmore concerned with how it felt. i liekd it a lot
  11. didnt make it on saturday ,but spend whole day out there yesterday spoke to a few people in depth esp the graphite design guys, t he diamana guys and the ns pro guys got to test the whole shebang of the diamana x range with an epon 152 9.5* head (this head btw is very easy to hit!) the numbers i got on these shafts were terrific it wasnt as low as i though it was going to be but it most def was as tight, dispersion was magic really really tight accros s the whole line iwas hitting the ball badly to the right over all but the blocks were fairway bound or edge of. wasnt getting the hands thru the ball.( back was a bit tired form skiing day before!) but got the last 5 or so pretty well middle of the club and straight started at 60x and went to 70 xx (just for mjr d) best numbers i got was with the 70x backspin was 2000 average 1550-2300 range longest drive was 285 carry 246 head speed 46.7-49 average 48ish mp/s pretty close to these they wouldnt give me the print out. feling, ths shaft felt fantasitic, nothing liek the diamanas of old but then agn not like the crazy either it was more elasticy in the GD BB stlye than the crazy style i THOUGHT. it certianyl was ver y pleasant o hit athe whole range interesttingly the 70s was the one i thought i liked the best, but the guyssaid i shudbe hitting the x the numbers were irrefutable i wil be gettign one of these 100% and im assured they are low laucnhing low low spin nothing at all like the stinger the 70 xx i only hit 2 balls with just o get an idea of how it goes, it certianly didnt overpower me i got it dead straight 270 ish certianly wasnt goting left thatsfor sure hard to say overall bec the head isnt something id play but in a more punchy head i think the 70s might be better suited to be honest. that was the longest shot i got out with a draw. that might be the puppy i think in the punchier head and its def going i nthe yamaha tour 10* bring it on!

I like the fact its 10.5 ive been micking around with higher launch driver heads recently and as memtioned the pairing of the real low spin shafts in these heads ive found a reallynice balance i get a mid highish flight but its a good flight the ball popps off the face and the face at address looks a lot more friendly than a. 9' the cpl thap sprimg to mind are the solid contacts and the yamaha tour the more lofted faces tend to give me a more secure feeling dont tgink im gonna missthem catastophically like an8.5 god if nakajima san was around id get to test this baby might give him a buz see if he can still get his hands one one! the diamana x and thus look made for each othert
  13. This is all new stuff the "zero" sound ominous for floating hulks zero and diamana x whos the first!!!!!!
  14. supo replied to HULC1105's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
well i guess it might be something like the jbeam thats thing is so low u need high loft to make the thing work 10.5 is good. and if u cut the shaft to like 43.5 then ths jebam is a howler with the GD p9003x mines at 44 and i can easlity cut another 0.5 from it no wuckers! i guess this might be the same idea ????????????????????

saw a cpl of these last night the graphics arnt that great, i didnt like em. the blurb on them fromm y guy is they are very good shafts , priced in between the top crazies and thte qaudras. he pointed the ngs tour proto as the one that would suit my likes best. there seesm to be a prettyy big line up of them he gave them the nod most positively.

its got a attas t2 6s red black thing in it and this goes LOW it was noticeably the lowest driver by a mile on sunday at the range the attas isnt my shaft, its not bad , not bad at all, but aint for me the thing is super low spin by hte feel of it i could almost see the dimples after id hit it! im thinking the stinger!!!!! bit higher launch might off set this low brute this is one really nice looking head,
