Ohhhh man!!!!! Beauty is indeed in the eye i absolutey love them shafted withdgs300 bothered they are (or i play them magnificently) the pw is a little large compared to a lt of othe blades but i liked it and i hit it extremely well they are getting a bag spot to oz in jan im going to tug the shafts and put the ns protos oras in them thats how impressed i am with them put it this way these will stay over some much "bigger" named irons and i hink its bec of the look biger rounded heads with miniscule sole , "thats just my thannnnng " i love em who the drvil forges em? This could be pandoras box ill find out they were. MIC but at the sale price i seriously doubt (hope not) it they suited me beautifully Watch bst for blade sale now'!

FINALLY got this set up. yonex nextage 9* head. graphite design p9003x shaft 43.5 inch 334 gram c8 SW gamed today. built to hit low. running drives on tight holes about 20 ish + - yards shorter than normal driver. well it went low. ran , and ended up about 5-10 yards shorter than i normally hit , very very very happy with this. very happy. much better than i expected. hit the middle of the fairway most shots only lost one drive right which cost me . getting the ball to go left is pretty hard. i could go hard as hell at it . no problems. this will be absolutely perfect, better than anything for the links. love it. oh and just for the record, if anyone fancies making a big monster driver these two components are suited as good as anything else ive hit. seriously.

right first game with them today. shafted em up with an NS proto x flex shaft that was the proto to the 1150 i think..( super tight , high and boardy things but they work a treat) they are much squarer at address than the older mods. flatter base. the new shape seems better suited to off centre shots, they are reminescint to the 2008 , more perimeter weighted. i felt they were more point shoot than really workable, esp with the flatter looking sole and thicker neck line. imo they are not as as dynamic as the previous models ,the 2008s or 2010s still stand firmly head and shoulders above form what ive hit. theseare extremely nice to play. and very forgiving for a pro model iron. need more game time with them. ill take em back to oz for summer workout. see how they go in oz.

had a bash with them today , they were made exclusively for a japanese pro in 2004 forgot his name. ddint game them took the yamms 2012 out instead( more later) but spent 2 hours on the range before the match hitting a heap of clubs. these and the tourstage x blade form 05 got a particular working over. was cold as hell today ball was flying about 10 yards less than normal. so wanted a more punchy muscle cavity today. anyway the srixons are quite rounded they reminded me of mizuno mp 68 in a way. very sleek sole virtually no off set what so ever. side by side with the miura sb-01 these actually not that much overall diference the miura are thicker the srixons slightly larger.big but very thin. i found it very nice hitting balls off mats and i liked the look of it actually. different to hitting in a match i know, but if i wasnt dead set on palying the yamaha 2012 i would def have gamed these. no idea of who forges these, but they felt pretty darn good.
-
yea thems the ones i was speechless. they are just the best looking blades.
-
these might be hte best loking baldes ive ever seen. has anyone palyed them. or know about them? if they are good they will be mine
-
yea. and the jbeams are extrememly muted and dull sounding/feeling but the ball goes miles.

fantastic 3 wood. soft as medium bodied, not compact, not large. workable if u need it. delivers a medium flight, its not a worm burner. its pretty easy to hit form a fairway and great from a tee. my fav all rounder in 3 woods. ull get longer ones over all like the egg or longer ones form a tee like the tour edge exotics but over all it was my fav.

damn...... season hasnt ended yet ! i should be donning bib-brace , goretex arcteryx jacket, volkl selecta and helmet and heading high wide and handsome into the forest in thigh deep pow by now. alas, im heading back to TCCJ for more golf in larrrrrrrve this wekeend. surely THIS is the last game this yr! the mild conds in tok. have lended itself to late season golf beautifully. greens running at +11 every week makes scoring nigh impossible. tight cropped grass. heavy air. cold balls means differnt culbs! 10* yamaha tour 2012 driver with crazy 50 8.2 has grabbed the bag possy now bec of the run it gets if i manage to get the bloody thing on the fairway! the kasco--quadra has been repalced with the crazy f14 --crazy fw 8.2 for the same reason the 5 wood is battle royal between the crazy f16 --quadra fex 75 xs and my all time fav the yamaha v17- stinger x cant split these , but that yammy is just so damn easy and fine. its prob just grabs it. the ute. wholly schmokes. the ute, what ui would give to not use a bloody ute! that thing has changed at least 15 times this yr, but the one im hitting realtively well NOW is the adams pro black and the royal coll cvXer . they rotate depedning on grass /course conds. irons have been pretty stable, the yamaha 2008 hard to knock out of top spot. but this weekend the 2012s get thier first work out. interestingly last weekend the miuraism sb-01 --TT Monacco gripmaster grip combo got the nod . and did darn tootin with them aswell. first blsat with them in a while, not too shabby, unfortunatly if u dont play these weekely they are real hard to get ur eyes in with . a little daunting to say the least, (esp 6 and under! ) They are so darn small. but boy they are a good iron, so precise. BUT the yams get the top spot! wedges have been battle royale between the tourstage marus an the yamahas for the last 8-10 weeks nothing is on top i just alterenate depening on grass, if its cold/ wet ill go the marus , if its cold dry ill go the yams. differnt feel but they both look great to me at address, i havent longed for the other during play once. the putter is a lay down misere.... tha Yamada razor has just dominated. took the lead coming around the turn form my all time fav the matsumoto mz-07 and hasnt looked back. long may it reign! -
oh man just look at that bag.. perfectamundo! just swap the ping for a yamaha d and its SUPREME JDM how good do those copper irons look huh? and the marus. and the new fangled epon bag. schweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet !

ive got he modus 3 in my PW as part of my proto set. they are alot more flexy than the prots but they get the ball in the air and fall s soflty, so yes ithink they are terrific for wedge shafts -
yup adn squarer , very much like the miura cb 3001 in basic shape. they are quite a divergence form the lat 3 yrs style. cant wait to game them this weekeend.
-
heres an attempt, its bloody hard photing irons and trying to get it right but what we have here is 2005-06-08 tour 09 non tour- 11,12 tour irons u can get a slight feel for the differnce in grinds and trust me they are all quite differnt , but using the same basic mold. the bottom face shots are the 2012 on the left and 2011 right much much differnent.
-
u ddidnt like the yammy??? oh no. wow. out of the yammaha range i guess , thinkng baout it now.., this is prob. the most rigid of the heads. they get progressivelly softer as yrs go on, til lthis yrs which feels a tad more robust than last. boggies fav is the 09 that is a beaut stick the new shape stars here. thas isnt harsh at all. that mightbe ur answer. all yamms i absolutely love. oh man no idea u didnt like that one. damn.
-
softest could be the epon 102 , i think.
-
yes i think it its kyoei i had a hit them when i went up there , i just mucked around with one of guys the sets shafted with the carbon shafts, i think they were about 500K yen + for a set something absolutely ludicrous! they look pretty good, thee are distinctly kyoei in appearance ,thin topline , straight square toe very chunky muscle area. they felt pretty good , very player esque. not sure if ill be hopping mad to order a set tho.

i have in my yamaha wedges right now set of wv125 s shaimada wedge s ns1150 tour x exactly the same heads same lofts. ive been alternating them week in / out the wv i find heavy, low and quite whippy , i find i can get these to spin a lot with full shots and on close chips i find them good to hit without much spin, and with roll the shimada i find nothing what so ever, they just feel like nothing, the get ok spin are a decent weight , mid trajectory. all in all they are just plain out and out good. theres nothing discernable abt them the 1150 x tour are HIGH, stiff as planks and light. i love these. not sure if they produce the msot spin, but i like playing the extra X and height for dropping dead on a spot. on chips the get a bit airy bec they are light ive been favouring these recently bec iwant the ball to drop from a height. but if iahd to play just one set i think id go the shimadas
