  2. heres an attempt, its bloody hard photing irons and trying to get it right but what we have here is 2005-06-08 tour 09 non tour- 11,12 tour irons u can get a slight feel for the differnce in grinds and trust me they are all quite differnt , but using the same basic mold. the bottom face shots are the 2012 on the left and 2011 right much much differnent.

  6. u ddidnt like the yammy??? oh no. wow. out of the yammaha range i guess , thinkng baout it now.., this is prob. the most rigid of the heads. they get progressivelly softer as yrs go on, til lthis yrs which feels a tad more robust than last. boggies fav is the 09 that is a beaut stick the new shape stars here. thas isnt harsh at all. that mightbe ur answer. all yamms i absolutely love. oh man no idea u didnt like that one. damn.
  7. softest could be the epon 102 , i think.

yes i think it its kyoei i had a hit them when i went up there , i just mucked around with one of guys the sets shafted with the carbon shafts, i think they were about 500K yen + for a set something absolutely ludicrous! they look pretty good, thee are distinctly kyoei in appearance ,thin topline , straight square toe very chunky muscle area. they felt pretty good , very player esque. not sure if ill be hopping mad to order a set tho.
  9. i have in my yamaha wedges right now set of wv125 s shaimada wedge s ns1150 tour x exactly the same heads same lofts. ive been alternating them week in / out the wv i find heavy, low and quite whippy , i find i can get these to spin a lot with full shots and on close chips i find them good to hit without much spin, and with roll the shimada i find nothing what so ever, they just feel like nothing, the get ok spin are a decent weight , mid trajectory. all in all they are just plain out and out good. theres nothing discernable abt them the 1150 x tour are HIGH, stiff as planks and light. i love these. not sure if they produce the msot spin, but i like playing the extra X and height for dropping dead on a spot. on chips the get a bit airy bec they are light ive been favouring these recently bec iwant the ball to drop from a height. but if iahd to play just one set i think id go the shimadas
  10. sst pured as well!!! no idea what is it?
  11. just a little more on this as a comparison i put that matrix f7m2 ltd x shaft in another one of these heads destined to live in oz. head to head with the quadra frie express 75xs last week the matrix is def lower , stronger. almsot unhittably so and about 90000000 times worse feeling but u can NOT hit this hard enough. never hit anything like it. its got a spot. its so strong. the flight is loads lower , distance ithink equal. the better club by a mile is the quadra shafted one. its much better feeling has more moveability , and more whip. for me thats perfect. its still very very hard to make it got left, but the marix is impossible . they are both superlong carry, i can see the matrix at longy hitting down the 16th- 17th bec hell and high water wont make it go into the surf on the left. quadra.... much better stick!
  12. and here i am thinking japan is expensive....! tch tch
  13. godo diea ill post a few side by sides of all my tour , plus one non tour beasts!
  14. yea but u have to keep in mind that miura are crazy small! its apples and oranges here. miura prob only have a few other irons i cant hink of in their tier yamaha tours are certianly not in thier bracket.
  15. mine arrived on wed night reshafted them with my NS proto shafts. took em out yesterday for a session out door range proper balls. the look is VERY differnt to the previous models. i had al l the previous clubs along side hittting the 5-7- 9 -pw to compare. the new model is a lot squarer in the top line to toe. more boxy with a flatter sole. looks like a bit more surface area than the older models. and id guess. a little more forgiving , the ball seems to be framed better with these irons than the rest, if u like the square look these are great. the first thing u notice is all the xxxxxxxx 's all over the face. totally differnt to the previous models. immediatly i think hmmmmmmm great , spining heads ! proto boardy shafts. highlaunch....... super straight flight....... spinning heads........ yes please! tried al the shots stingers, snap hooks , slicematrons straight shots. what ever i could think of. the heads certianly DO get a bit of spin on the ball .it landed pretty nicely in the shorter irons, the ONLY complaint i have on these again is the breadth of the sole on the scoring irons. i had 3 differnt stlyes of irons out yesterday miuraisms, yamahs , af tours, and i still find it chunky especially in the PW to get the exactness in my mind that i have with the af tours and especially the miuraisms. the older models like the 2005 and to an extent the 2010 are slighter and a lot more blade like. (esp the 2005) but without question the newer designs are much much easier to hit , but still very pro like in appearance at address. its just the PW the irks me. its BIG. but on JPN grass in summer that is nooooooo probs at all. not sure if these will be first choice at longy this yr........... but ill guarantee you they will be come may in japan. ill doubt if ill even take another set out between may and october next yr. the new cavity shape is very differnt to the 2011 its much easier to launch much more workable , not as solid a club. its "slighter" as the hatter said to alice.. "uve lost ur muchness, u were much more , muchier last time." thast not a bad thing.. the 2011s are prob the msot solid thunping irons ive ever played. these ones look alot more water than rock. i like both i prefer 2012 . its just the pw...............................................
  16. hhahahhahah at this stage a LOT.
  17. i finally succomed to the pressure of grabbing a set of these heads. ive had the f16 for a while. with the quadra fex 75 xs, but ive been hitting the yamaha v-17 stinger combo so well this hasnt had much air time. its almost, but not quite a duplication. the crazy is 16.5* the yamaha is 17 * the yamaha much easier to hit and significantly higher flighted. so i picked up the f14 a cpl of days ago and teamed it up with my rogue unheaded crazy fw 8.2. shaft hit the range this morn b4 the match in absolutely perfect conditions. not a breath of wind. there is no going left with this. i hit it as hard as i could and it juts sailed low , piercing strong and monster long ! i was out driving my playing partners with the 3 w in hand off the tee........ easily. it is the antithesis of the kasco ive been bagging for a few months , that didnt get a start today bec of the new f14. the differnce in shafts in these two heads was very very noticeable. the quadra although slightly softer flex in sx, is a very very good choice for the higher lofted wood. its easily more workable higher , but its a strong flight still. theres no mickey mouse powderpuff faders on this thing no sireee......, the wind doesnt make this thing balloon it just gets it airborn easier. from the fairway the f14 isnt what id call real easy to hit , but its not impossible either . its prob not ideal. the f16 is def longer than my yamaha 5w and i can bag this as either a weak 3w or strong fw . its a very good allrounder , and def better form a tee than the 5 yamaha. the 3wood i think is 14.5 * and of all 3 woods ive gamed so far , after just one round. i will say this is right up there as one of the longest and best to hit from a tee. once agn the yamaha 3w is easier and higher, but the crz is just mental. its awsome i hardly took the driver out of the bag today and was up where i like to be on most holes. i dont think ill be hitting the f14 from the fairway too often, but with the f16 in bag as well theres absolutely no need. its as solid as anything u could ever hope for and the crz fw shaft in it is irreplaceble. in all the woods ive ever made, NOTHING is a better suited pair than these two pieces. nothing. the quadra is a good fw shaft combo , but its not even on the same plane as the crz shaft, i wont change it over , bec i like ,( and need!) the slightly higher flight of the FEX . but the 3 wood cray fw is just ,, well u gotta hit it to beleive it . its very pear shaped but with a flat base. so at address it looks like u can jut ht it straight. theres no discernable orientation to draw fade. like i get on a lot of pear shaped woods. but as a driveable fw wood , good lord this combo is utterly stunning. now where to play it and when...................!
  18. yamaha..........., def no 1 tour driver 10 * v- 17* 5w utility. 4-pw yamaha tour 2008 or 2012 51- 56- 61 wedges putter well thats not really fair. epon.... 101 9.5* 202 3w. 901 ute. 4-pw af-tour copper wedges. tourstage woods dont really get me excited at all. their irons and wedges tho, and putters are terrific. oh and balls.. prgr prob the easist of the lot the driver id struggle with but the GN form last r might do. the egg 3 + 5 no probs 6 ironset of form egg irons as a ute. md 900 tr irons all day every day , still one of the best sets ive ever played. yonex u could have a lash at easily as well. nextage 9* driver. the new woods. the new irons and wedges, yea thats a good bag. but i cant look past YAMAHA
  19. Nice touch at a guess miura forgings? U like the yonex huh i think the old model is a much better performer i just re made mine to play43.75 witha graph des p9003x u want some roll with a yonex then this is the club! No need to ask my op on yamaha i think thats pretty known GET ONE and the ryoma will def be the safety driver everyone needs thinking abt the epon101 i kind of agree its carry based i tgink i get a lot more spin with this but ialso tend to drives it as good as anything Ive ever used mine got a stinger i. It and that is the best combo. A good mix of multiple drivers ryoma for straightedness and assurity yamaha tour for when ur driving well its just superb crazy 435 for wind between these allbases covered
  20. Hmmmmmmm. That head is punchy. The right shaft should complemwnt it very nicely imdeed

  22. now thats an interesting idea. what shaft would i put in a driver head tho?? i do have a cpl of old 3 wood steel shafts form NS 950 fw i think they are. that might do the trick perfectly. another thing i lookd at last night was the crazy 80 fw 8.2 shaft can this be put in a driver head aould anyone know????
