  1. my buddy recently returne my old adams 9015 d a4 driver to me , and it rekindled some absolutely magic moments in driving. i used this driver before i made my foray in to JDM and shafted it after i found the quadra fire express with a 65xs my returned driver is shattered so i bought another head yesterday to do a head to head with whithout a doubt the best non JDM driver id ever picked up with my current stocks to see if and what the main discernable differnces are. as far an non JDM products go, adams would be the only brand id consider in woods, every one ive hit , ive hit well but they only thing i remember is that they arnt the best feeling clubs . thats kinda moot tho iof it goes it goes..! i get this next week so ill get it up and running soon thinking of putting a crazy noir in it that should be a good taster just for a coke Vs pepsi kinda thing........., results soon

  3. man oil these . buy a tube of golds sword oil do it now it smlles great it isnt wd40! and do it after they have been in the wet. or if they have been dormant for a while i redo my raw wedges about every 6 weeks just a light coat with a dry rag let it sit over night the look is amazing once done. keeps them looking new all the time.
  4. what a marvellous review. hat off to you sir. very nice to read. very nice indeed. and what a fantastic choice u made those clubs will test you but the rewards are most satisfying. the 8-9-pw in these heads are LETHAL when ur on. the grips are fantasitc aswell, they go well in the wet and they offer a bit more roughenss than the stickys they are my choice. shafts well id think these are damn fine choices for these heads, i struggeld a bit with my choice o nthese, tried a few but couldnt get satisfied, i thikn these are an excellent choice. jason shud chime in here any time soon, hes got a set as well. fair play. shoot low.
  5. ye GADS..................................!!!!!!!! what on earth are u doing with THAT ball on THOSE clubs. quickly, wipe it down with sword oil !

epon $500 yamaha and on-off $200 each or ................... all 3 for............................... $800 shipped thats gotta be enticing , no?
  8. im so glad i never bought into that green lime thing, i almost did. then i found quadra thankfully. demolitionman, what a ledgend, banning himself. thats pure ive oft. thought about it myself, its does get consuming, my wife is adamanat ive become a stranger in the cave. and that i prefer to live amonst carbon sitcks ,and forged steel with rubber tops. she thinks thats odd!
  9. gawd................ im all upset now, its like someone calling ur dog ugly.! good stuff J.
  10. thanks T.., its nice to be let off the leash on occasions. imight get banned from there after this.
  11. i agree shimada tour in Stiff flex seem to play heavier . i have no issue at all about them being sloppy. or too rigid. i dont find them X ish, rather more of a mid flighted slingshotty stiff. they arnt the tightest shaft ive hit. but i find d them absolutely superb in my miuras best shaft i tried in them. over all they dont really do anything special, they just .....................do. the lite might be the better bet . or a NS 1150 maybe ,? they seem to play LOT more rigid and seem to play a lot lighter. i havnt hit hte tour lites. so cant help u there. in af tours i think ull find the majoiry of guys that have hit NS super peening blues in them swear blind by them they just seem made for each other
  12. i saw that i was going to be a bit more........... forcefull.
  13. "Yamaha no longer manufacture heads in their factory in Japan, it has been outsourced to who knows where (it's been more than 3 years). Quality is way down." on wrx before i i tore him a new one thought id better just check this amazing , startling comment. to my knowledge they are made at endo correct?????
  14. yes sorry. thast exactly what i was trying to get at. ididint check the lies on mine i just presumed it was as everything else , but i kept scuffing the heel, no matter what i hit. next weekeend i hit my miuraisms and if anything got them offfthe toe. confused i was................. i took them both to the clubbuilder and low and behold i found the gap was 3* different. so i met in the middle . i play all clubs with a refernece of the 5i at 59.5* or 60* now, that seeems to suit me perfectly. but it took a long time and much much yen to work that out. now im enlightened .
  15. jef im back loving 302s i flattend the bejeussout of my rogue 7 iron 2* and i hit it wonderfully wonderfully.. i think theres a time coming when i might just capitulate and grab a set back. and it has to be in copper!!!!!! if ONLY i knew about flattening earlier. would have saved me a fortune.
  16. that right isnt it the af tours are 48* in pw, no? the 302 are 46* if im not mistaken???? iguess ud go 3-4-5-6-7 in 302 and 8-9-pw in af tours thast what id do . the 7 iorn ithink is better with the 302 still get that solid thump . 8-9-pw shoot the lights out . oh and get the lies flattend by 1* at LEAST....!

  18. saw my first set of these today. look like they are made of aluminium, one piece construction reminds me of flighted satin PX. coudnt get any info form the guy, thougth id ask the experts here. whats the scoop on them flight, weight, suitability? i was interested but not overly , as i havnt had any good experiences with kbs tours at all ive had them in a few bits and pieces didnt suit me. but these are pretty eye catching
  19. oh yes......................., the smallest change = the biggest results!!! ns 1150 tour shafts X flex .125 over my standard length lie angle at 62* on ALL wedges 58* bent to 61* 52-56-61 set all same shafts all same perfect pro cord grips i now have the wedges to play on tough short grass. that spin like blazes no need to worry about if these spin . man oh man they do i ndeed! i havnever played better wedge play than yesterday chip in eagle form 30 yards. 5 , yes 5 wedge shots inside 6 feet. for me thats incredible. it wasnt how i did it thats important, its what the ball did when i hit it that counts crisp. check. side spin reverse. perfectrion the soles on them are really small but the back is chunky. so that gives it its thump fabulous wedges just fabulous hope they dont make any more of these , they will become a collectors item GUARANTEED ah my wedge solution has emerged tourstage marus for deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep lush yamaha for crisp sweeping. i know whats going back to oz to live forever!
  20. cheers, i had the op to get these but at the range it just didnt excite me. nothng wrong but no wow factor i passed
  21. i guess bec . they sell all of the tour eds. in .0000000000000000000000000000000000005 seconds of release ,at the asking price. long term i guess that wins, customers will buy the new model every yr . quality wise................ put it this way theres nothing ive tried that is better out there. ill say that most unreservadly. most def nothing better. theres a few pieces that are on the same page . in fact after hitting all things good, i prefer to hit yamaha than the others , most of the times. if im on a short tricky track ill revert to my blades , but on my 7000 + yard behemouths like i get here most weekeends. ill ONLY EVER TAKE out the yamahas. they just give me so much more a sense of security . i have to see the new ones in the flesh to get an idea of the new lines but il tell you the 2011s are a spec'd up version of the 06 model, which, the more iplay them i think might be their best ever model. absolutely nothing particularly fancy about those at all, my fav irons. and not really an out and out tour model compared to what else is available! the 2012s i will have to see, bec at first glance piccy wise, they look like they have gone the way of Toustage and put slashes and demons on them. pls god dont let it be so.!!!!!
