YAMAHA 2011 wedges
well if ever ive see n set of wedegs i like the look of in a shop these are them i had to , it was my destiny to, its the last component of yam that i hadnt played. ((conforming tho..................)) although they are conforming these thiings spin beautifully. sit perfectly. feel magnificent . not exactly butter , more solid style, but they have a bit of thump to them and i found i cud cut the ball sideways with ease. DG tour issue shafts helps as well. small thin sole ,but over all a larginsh wedge. the muscle component is beautiful to look at, its a kind of goldish sheen ,a litte reflective sure, but not as bad as some, i still thinkl they could have made it a little less reflective for cetian. oh if only these wre non conforming, id sell every other wedge. they sit perfectly for me but alas ,thers other s that spin more. , a lot more.. (hey no pro here !) IF i was a pro tho, these would be gamed for a long long time. super conforming wedge utterly superb.

YAMAHA 440 power length
new driver 45 x d2.5 x 325 g WOWSAH thought id get this set to 315 -318 gram, my new wizz made it to 325 to get it to d2.5 injected some goooo in the head ot get it there WOWSAH. played it in horrible wind rain, think britsih open day 3 10* head. low spin mid launch lots of carry + it rolls out! yammys play a little on the lower side anyways and at 10* i was very happy with results of flight and launch aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH now ive gone and done it agn ilove the look of bigger faced drivers and the 440 is just that, still not a monster like the crazy 460, or epon 101, its still got a bit of pro look about it but just that bit bigger than the 425 face i think in my minds eye its thperfect size combining sleek pro stlye looks with ease of launch. the drivers were a series of small draws all day that i seem to be able to count on with monotonous regularity witht this crazy shaft it did it in the ryoma, its doing it better in the yamaha felt much better than in the ryoma ,the ryoma s huge bulbous tail seemed to over power the sensation of the noir, but in a yammy it highlights it , or combines perfectly , couldnt be happier with it. theres a new sherrif in my bag nad its name is yamha 440 its a keeper !

its a no brainer end of chat i hit my egg spoon 15* old model with diamana kaili 70 s over the weekend i hadnt hit it in a few months off t he deck. there isnt anything thats even close. i was back to my amazed look of how did it get there. EVERYONE thta plays golf shud have one of these at thier disposal u mighten need ti game it every week but when u need it its just out of this world from a tee i mstill reffy oin it. then i just threw a ball on the deck and hit it , bahhumbug. sensational. still like the yamaha and RC better for ma tee box , but ..............., oh btw......... the kaili as a fw shaft is a ripper. low long smalls left. i love it.

JDM shafts vs run of the mill?
If u get the right shaft u will be straighter either lower or higher and either more or less carry depending on what specs ur after And esp if u go heard at it the results are the same engines ain't engines

new drivers built
So... ive got all my new low spin low launch running along the ground worm burners in play over the last month or two it dawned on me that i dont have many soaring bombers any longer , apart form the crazy 460 crazy sigma 50 , thats it . i bought the yamaha 440 power length to try it out 10* in the previous models its a peach, they tend to laucnh a littel lower than other 10* heads ive found . i was initially going to put a p9003x in it , then i thought, id like a lighter driver, than all my current stock are pushing hte 330 gram barier. so i figureed a lighter all round driver might be a nice change the head on the 440 is only 196 gram so with the crazy 80 noir 7.7 at 69 gram and torque of 3.1 i this should come in at around 316-318 i gram, thats a pretty big driop form 330 but i think this is a toally differnet style of club to what i normally hit. the yammy in 440 ust gives me bit more landing spacethan the 425 tour, it LOOKS a little more upright at address and the low spin mid laucnh of the crazy will be a pretty good match ,delivering a mid high total soaring bomb delivering machine its finished tom and ill be palying it in oz for 3 days over this wekeeend to give it a test . the othe one im maing is hte jbeam old 435 head 10* with the GD p9003x at 44.5 inch. im thinking this might be a bit higher than the crazy set ups. super solid thmping runner. just a little higher tho . it occured to me that i hit the 435 head pretty consistantly its not my favoutite , but i hit it so well ,so why not give it a slightly differnt shaft for a slightly different flight. im sure this will be exacltly what i need in oz and it will be close to 325 grams. looking fwd to getting these in play and seeing what the combos play like. as it stands now my best drivers are ryoma d1 --stinger 70x ryoma d1---p9003x epon 101-stinger 70s jbeam 425 tour -- crazy 80 crazy 460-- crazy sigma 50 i can play any of these will supreme confidence but doesnt stop me chasing the dragon looking for that driving nirvana

Need help on choosing new shaft. Bangvoo Vs MAtrix TPHD
yea ive played both of those the tp7hd i sold after one round was in my yamaha tour head so wasnt like iwas hiting a dummy club i thought the tp was pretty average for that price. its pretty low spin, low launching , it flet ot me like a crazy 80 ls 2 withot the excitement u get form crazy the bang voo is MUCH easier to hit, much more enjoyable. good feeling , ver ystraight mid ish launch and higher spin i enjoy playing the bangvoo its differnt to crazy , not as taught , and much easier

KAMUI custom driver head
i was poking around my shop lat night and they have the new crazy jbeam 435 , the new crazy 460 the new kamui and the new akira , i had a good look at all of these ,and really liked the way the kamui sat. its got a pretty big face which i like e, its NOT that idssimilar to the crazy 460 . good landing strip for anthing smaller than a bowling ball. looks like u can just kill it ! its so similar to the crazy im going back to that thast the look i love, like a bomblauncher, the smaller compact faces im sruggling with. i sat up loking at all my drivers last night trying to get the vibe form them the crazy 460, the epon 101 and the ryoma seemed to tune into my telepathic cry for help. saying that im taking none of them back to oz on thurs that goes to the p-tune and yamaha 440 power length if this dont work im going kamui based next week. im sick AND twisted

The EGG and the TEE XCG-3
theya re pretty close. form a tee box. ive hit some bombs with theTEE but i cant for the life of me gt it anywhere near the egg off the deck, its a disaster. the egg isnt really made to put on a tee bec its so low profile just get one once u hit it ul understand comletely that fw shot just make u laugh
-
The EGG and the TEE XCG-3
ive hit both extensively hte TEE is prob the only non jdm fw id consider. ive still got my cb1 which is huge form a tee off the deck tho faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaget abarrrrrrrrrrrrt it......! the old egg seems lower spin than the new model, the new one sound a billion times better and eaier from the deck. if u ONLY hit form a tee keep the TEE but if u want to step on up form a fairway then most DEF get an egg, most definatly

KAMUI custom driver head
After seeing Jeffs kamui in BST today., and my hideous driving yesterday i think i might be after a customed driver andthe kamui new model looks prett darn good. ive read all theposts comparing them , but a few things i need to know what is the closet looking head at address to it epon 101 epon 102 ryoma crazy 460 callaway ft tm white piece of golf spam it looks pretty rounded to my eye like the epon 101 i have not see one n the flesh if thast the case. i m all over it. im thinking 9.25* x 200 gram x slight draw biased tilt on the lie hmmmmmmmmmmmm this is gong somewhere gents . those who have had one help me out a bit pl chaps. all the reviews say it impossible to split this from the ryoma, in performane if thast the case and i can have a custom one , then im all for it.

Miura MB-5003 vs Yururi Raw Flat Back Blade
i found them just lovely. the dgs didnt do a lot for me , got soe good game time in with those and didnt like them at all. thats when i realised the ns shafts make such a difference. ive got plenty of the rawheads as well and i think they feel great. u can almsot feel the ball sticking to the rough finish the sieda wedgeand the tour wedegs are supe rsoft. with the KBS black shaft in the kyoei heads they def feel harsher but go longer. thsoe KBS wedge shafts i think are terrific

Miura MB-5003 vs Yururi Raw Flat Back Blade
everyday soft club the yrurris could do that job easily. they are slightly larger than the miuras and softer. razor like look to them the modus are good shafts, prob a bit more veratility than the SP which go straight. iahd DGs400 i nthem errrrrg! hideous. anything NS in t hese really will make them feel uber soft

Anying one playing the GD Tour AD DI shaft in a 3W?
agree 100% the kaili is just a brilliant fw shaft at a good price. ijust got one i n my ute and was very impressed with it once agn if it wernt for my ludicrous love of the top shelf id play the kaili in every fw i also find the GD md range a briliant fw shaft, gets the ball alittle higher and softer on the green. the kaili i find lower more penetrating
-
Miura MB-5003 vs Yururi Raw Flat Back Blade
welcome, the veil is lifted. if uve got the 1957 so dont double up no need the yururi flatback are prob the softest club ive hit i made these with NS orange, good straight high flight. too high for me but boy they were terrific, realy hold thier line well, (thats the NS SP at work) super small sole have a look in BST under miuraism for a cpl of piccys of the differnce in size between the yururi nad miura thsoe yururis were greta to hit the 8-9-pw especially i liked to hit at greens , i found them really accurate.

Yonex 380 driver - The verdict
doubt it the yonex 380 i got some good results with at a range but choosing the 10* was a mistake for me beci hit high balls anyway the shape of the head att address i love, the fce is prominent and very pear shaped. the match i played it in with the quadra was awsome i illed the bal that day, but too high ,in a 9* this wuld suit perfectly and for the price??? serisly very very veyry good driver!

Crazy utility stiff
well ill say i was just in love with how they went, the feel of them is just fantastic the kaili 80 is a top shaft ,fantasic striaght shots ,but hte crazy are a MILE better. im going to resist the urge to swap the shafts in the RCS, i might just have to put crazies into those the adams black and that green voodoo thing i it oh dear , i mswapping that grren thing out immediatly that adams head wil get a better shaft for use back home. saying all this th eres stil nothing liek the feel of the yamaha, and rc ute heads those with a crazy ute shaft boy oh boy. awsome stuff.
