  1. In search for both the 18* and 20*. I'm looking for them on the cheap. So, if you have them just laying around and don't mind getting rid of them, I'll take them off your hands. Prefer heads only if possible. Of course, the best condition I can get my hands on. Thanks, gang.
  2. Hmm. might have to pick up a 535 for them windy days.

The Nippon 950s haven't ever worked for me. How's that Vizard 850 ut shaft? Looks like they only offer it in stiff flex. Does it play true to flex? I normally play SR in woods and R in irons. Any chance I could actually load the shaft?
  4. If you're looking to keep everything in one lineup, I've heard that the VG3 line is very forgiving across the board. But I'm not sure if the driver is offered in 8.5*.
  5. The "T" denotes tonnage rating of the carbon? I'm pretty sure that Crazy and TRPX shafts don't all use 80T carbon grade in all of their shafts, but are regarded as some of the best in the industry. From what I have observed and read on these forums more goes into the quality of making a shaft than its default tonnage rating. exactly what else, do you ask? I have no clue.
  6. Is this a head that would fare better with a graphite UT shaft, like my preferred gd ut 85, or a graphite composite iron shaft, like mci or recoil?

What's the price on these? They're not in the pro shop yet. Thought I'd just post this question instead of email in case others are thinking the same thing.
  8. Just from looks alone, i would presume that the Seven cb's play much more like player cb than the onoffs. But even softer feel with the s15c?
  9. Mine's being shafted up now. Can't wait to hit it. It does have quite the footprint. Think S-yard with a shallow face. It's beautiful, too - love the sole.

    Thanks, Stew.

Anything else at the show worth sharing?
  12. My new jBeam Glorious driver (w/ glorious shaft) and Glorious 3w head arrived a few days ago. I've yet to test them out as the weather has been uncooperative. So, I've turned my attention to other builds for now. I plan on installing a DJ6 or Kai'li 60 into the 3w, but I'm not sure how to build up this Syard 5w I picked up on that great sale a couple of weeks ago. How do you guys build your 5 woods? Do you build them to fly mid, drop and roll, or fly high, drop and stop?
  13. Chris, have you demo'd any of these? Particularly interested in the hydrid style ute. Wondering how it stacks up against the i-brid 2.
  14. Send [email protected] an email. I'm sure you will have no problems getting the shafts of your choice. There are other ways to get JDM clubs online, but TSG guarantees authenticity. Customer service is also excellent in the unusual circumstance something goes wrong. Did I sound too much like a fanboy?
  15. Do they make wide width?
  16. I've owned 2010 VG3, 2012 VG3, and Type R. I've hit the 2014 VG3. Type R felt the best to me. Feel is sort of relative, but VG3 just feels like typical soft forged irons w/ all 3 versions I've tried. Type R felt soft, yet dense. I like feeling soft and muted irons as much as the next guy, but solid and dense impact too. I don't think the VG3 are any more forgiving than the Type R. When I hit VG3 on the toe, heel, wherever, I got good distance. But when I hit in on the screws, sometimes the ball jumps off the face too hot, and I'd get a rocket going 10 yards farther than I wanted. Type R was such predictable distance. Off the heal, toe, didn't matter, and I wouldn't get those random rockets. That said, I was a club, maybe even a club and a half, longer overall with the VG3...just a much longer iron. Also, the turf interaction with the Type R is more versatile than the VG3 for my swing (I only take small divots). Aesthetically, the Type R irons are miles above the VG3. Love that dark finish. The quality of the finish on Romaro clubs are freaking crazy good. I've smashed my SX-IS wedges (the ones w/ the dark finish) into the range mat a thousand times. I go over it w/ my towel and the finish is still scratchless. Setting up over the ball, Type R is prettier too. From what I remember, the offsets are very similar, so no issues there. I think it's the slightly thinner topline I got along better with. I regret selling my Type R. Just my 2 cents.
  17. Protype Tour series? If so, I've got one.

The PGA merchandise show and most local golf fairs in the US are held in January or February. From a promotional and marketing standpoint, the timing makes sense, as during these off-season months most golf fanatics are chomping at the bit for anything golf related. Albeit, there will always be unpredictable attendance due to external factors, such a weather.
  19. Visited their site. Seems to me that they're geared toward the better player. Do they have any plans on expanding into the mid to average player market? Assuming their irons and wedges are forged, are they outsourcing or doing everything in Japan?
  20. I don't mind the darker color of the tungsten either. Wouldn't be able to see it from set up anyway. I agree with BB. It's great that someone's finally made a mb design with added launch capabilities and forgiveness. Unfortunately, with my game, I can't bag mb irons. But I can certainly bag VG3, a la Chris's comment.

Thicker topline also provides softer feel.
  22. Just checked out the website via the email you sent out, Chris. Does "brought to you by TourSpecGolf" mean that TSG is financially backing this company, has input/feedback into its designs, or has access to exclusive stuff from them? Or simply that the store is stocking their items? Also, excited to see all the custom finishes. The milling looks siiiiiiiiiick. CB looks fantastic too. Most of the tabs are still "coming soon". Can't wait to see though.
  23. +2. Have a 3w w/ AD DJ. This combo is easy to get up and as long as any 3w I've hit. A 5w should suit you well. Also have a Glorious fw incoming soon. Will leave a review soon after I've had some suitable time with it, but I do believe it will be extremely easy to hit off the deck.
