TRPX Driver : comparing numbers
Guys, I received my new TRPX S driver a couple of weeks ago through Tario and TSG. I would just like some of your guys input on the numbers that I'm getting with this driver. First of all, my previous gamer is a Titleist 913 D2, 10.5° with a regular flex Kai'li shaft. My numbers on a Flightscope machine where 13.5° of launch, with 2900 rpm's of backspin. I was carrying about 220 with an additional 15 to 20 yards of roll, which yielded 240 yard drives on average. My numbers with a 10° TRPX S driver with a stiff-regular 1st Messenger shaft are: 9.5° of launch, with 2000 rpm's of backspin. I carry this combo 228 yards with nearly 30 yards of roll and reach almost 260 average tee shots. These numbers tell me how extremely hot this face actually is. For my 93-95 mph SS, 9.5° of launch is pretty low, but at the same time a 228 yard carry is very long for that low of a launch angle. Having said that, I am wondering if a 11° head would help me increase my driving distance even more by increasing my launch angle. I feel like a launch angle of under 10° is just too low for my swing speed. What do you guys think?

Romaro 2014 - A new level of performance?
Most of my bag is Romaro gear, except for my actual bag. I, too, like red and blue.

Epon SUS316 irons?
If I am understanding you correctly, I agree with you, Chris. Myself, for a long time, thought that blades were the softest type or design of iron. My perception was not based on any actual experience, rather what I had read and was told. I finally tried several different blade style designs, most of which felt harsher to me than the softest cavity backs I had played. Certainly my lack of skill/ball striking contributed to the harshness of the blades over the cavity backs. But I did hit some of them on the screws and the blades had no advantage in feel over any larger design I have tested. All that said, perception I think it's huge as well as the type of shaft installed.

TRPX Driver Specs
For all you TRPX driver users: I just got mine today. The loft isn't actually stamped on the sole of the head. What's up with that? Also, my spec sticker was covered up by another sticker, round and silver in color that had "10*" on it. I could kinda make out the weight of the head, but everything else was coverd up. So, how did the rest of you found out the actual specs of your driver heads? Lastly, does anyone know which weights are included in the sole? Or does that vary based on the requested head weight for each individual order?

2014 Yamaha CB Tour Model Thread!
Chris, you're hardly ignorant about clubs. And I was referring to Bill3508's comparison photos, which include the Mizuno JPX 825 pros.

2014 Yamaha CB Tour Model Thread!
Maybe it's just my eyeballs, but I think the CBs have just the slightest more offset than the 825s as well.

Protecting your clubs
Well that's mostly what I'm concerned about. Handing over fine and expensive JDM equipment for my neighbor to try out always makes me a little nervous.

TRPX - Fairway Wood Shafts
I hope they keep their vision fresh and remain fairly specialized. There are certainly pros and cons associated with expanding a boutique brand.

My latest Hawaiian addition!
I like how the work goes past the crown down under to the sole. Most visible in the stick with the turtle.

Protecting your clubs
Hey, gang. When I go demo clubs at my local big box store, they sometimes have this clear tape/film over the front half of the crown of the drivers. It protects against pop-up marks and such. I've also seem clear putter tape on the sole of putters to guard against severe scratching. Does anyone know where I can get these things? I've asked the employees at these big box stores, but nobody has helped thus far.

Epon 213 STX - new?
Maybe, but the 208 are some of my personal faves. Wish I could get some new still.

Wow, how is that done? Airbrush, film, hydro...? I could never do that. I golf with my wife sometimes, haha.

Shingo's ONOFF Forged Version 358 Irons
I like the look of this smaller version with thicker top line. It looks meaty, but in a confidence in stilling way.

Mizuno's new 241 Co. Frame Walker Bag
I think it's pretty cool. I doubt I would ever sport one around the course personally, but my wife would be all over this one. Nice.

Yamaha wedges
Picked these up from Stew last week, but I ended up contacting T for some Romaro wedges. I don't need multiple sets of anything; it all just ends up collecting dust. And from what I've read, these perform too well to not be in use. Just looking to get back what I paid. $200 net to me, but will include shipping to Conus.

Kamui VS Kamui - Nitro VS Air
+1. I like that little golden accent. The weight seems to be replaceable with some tool.
