This is a super duper driver, guys!! At this price, along with this shaft, someone should get it quick!!
  2. Man, that Ahina shaft really looks cool on the Maxima.
  3. Perhaps a common issue with 8.5 loft? I do not have actual specs on my head but compared to my other square drivers, the Maxima certainly looks more closed than square. Stew, Please let us know how your new head looks and plays.
  4. For an 18 deg club, I'd personally choose a fairway. 18 deg in a fairway will be an approx. 230 yard club for me. When I weigh the "consistency in distance" vs "controllability/workability" from 230 yards, I think I would choose consistent distance over control. But honestly, I don't think I'd be able to hit an 18 deg hybrid consistently enough and I know I would not be able to hit a 18 deg driving iron right :) but that's just me.
  5. Thanks for the info guys! I see some on the used market in Japan, but they are still quite expensive compared to their stock offerings. So I wondered what the deal was.
  6. Unfortunately, I am selling because this head launched a bit too high for my liking.
  7. 2009 460cc Other than the fact the paintfill on the sole was customized and partially coming off now... It is in excellent shape. crown is super clean and only subtle brush marks on the sole. Low spinning bomber of a head.
  8. Thanks! PM sent for quote request!
  9. Looking for something that could replace my current Titleist 4 wood. something between 16 deg to 18 deg Saw this Labo Spec fairway. Bore Thru shaft in this day and age. I kind of like the idea. :) http://onoff.globeri...-club/f358.html
  10. Trying to find some reviews on this older Mizuno driver called k75td. Here's some pics. Thanks!
  11. Really sweet looking. While I agree the base shape is similar the 69 ( and the 68 for that matter ) I think they used a bit more edgy lines on this one and it looks very nice. Would love to see some in Yoro Satin finish with abbreviated logos. I would like to see a thinner top line as their stock design but that's just me.
  12. You will not find a better deal on these putters in this condition.

Flex? Also picture shows 7 shafts so is it actually a 4-pw. Actual lengths for each would be helpful.
  17. I had a proto 75x previously and remember that it was much more tip stiff and stout overall compared to wbq75 in sx I currently game. It was too much shaft for me. ( my SS is around 110mph ) My Maxima initially had wbq 65x and did not feel tip stiff at all. From that, perhaps a proto75 sx might be your answer?
  18. Moving it to the Bay.
  19. My Byron was my very first custom made putter. So more sentimental value. Quality of finish is better on the Piretti for sure, though Byron has more selection of head shape and finishes.
  20. Ryoma and Kamui lowered!!
  21. I have previously built a few sub 44" drivers using used shafts that were originally for 3 woods. Meaning the shafts were usually tipped by 0.5 " or so. What i had to do was to get the head weight up near a 3 wood head.... ( lots of lead tape or hot melt if you have the resources, suggest lead tape first in case you want to go back to normal weight ) Something close to 210g to make the club have a reasonable SW. Using a heavier shaft means you won't need to go up so much on the head weight to obtain a reasonable SW. Another technique is to use a super light grip to offset the balance. ( winn has 25g grips ) My first experiment club, an Orlimar hti440 + motore f3 70 s turned out to be the easiest driver to hit the fairway. Sure you lose a few yards compared to a 45"+ driver.... but what you can gain in score can be significant. Talking about it is making me want to put one together again!! :-) .... I think I just might!
  22. Whoops I guess the 6.0 is the flex... never mind
