Hope your order works out for you! I too was worried until I got my putter in my hand. Mine took only 2 weeks from order to delivery. Possibly because there was not a lot of modification on mine. Sound Slot, Tuna milling, Stamps and High Polish Finish. Show us your putter when you get it! :)

Modus 130
A touch heavier yes, softer, No. The profile of the 120s are tip stiff and 130s are butt stiff. but when you compare over overall stiffness between 120 and 130, 130s are a lot more stout.

365g head and 35" length. Not sure of the balance point now, but I plan to change the shaft with NS Pro Heavy shaft (149g) as with all my other putters. after reshafting, the overall weight should be around 550g to 560g which is the weight I like.

Modus 130
I went to a fitter today to try the Modus3 130 and to decide on the flex for the set of shafts I won from Nippon on their facebook campaign. Bottom line, 130's are a monster of a steel shaft, guys! The fitter told me that he has not seen a more stouter steel shaft. For reference, my driver SS is around 108 mph to 113 mph. With Mizuno's iron fitting tool, the recommended shaft for me were DG X100 soft stepped once, PX 6.0 or KBS Tour X soft stepped once. Which were not surprising. What was surprising was that after trying some demo clubs with the 130's we ended up deciding on installing the 130's in Stiff flex soft stepped once in my new MP64 irons. This set up gave me the tightest dispersion along with good feel for loading the shaft on the down swing. The fitter will be installing the shafts in the next couple of weeks. Will provide feedback when I have them back and get to play on the course.

Re-introducing S-Yard – The Rebirth of a Premium Brand and the T.388 Driver
I don't think you are wrong in any way here. The other ambitious thought I have and suspect others may have with smaller headed drivers is that over time and much use, I would naturally see improvement in my striking abilities. I heard that Tommy Nakajima made recommendations to Ryo Ishikawa several years back to use muscle back irons while he is still young. This is when Ryo requested Yonex to produce the Ezone MB's. I guess one could argue that his scoring abilities may have gone south since the switch. I know that I will never come close to becoming a pro in my life, but I still would like to think I can improve my ball striking skills in the coming years. And yes, if I was to enter a local tournament now, I might still choose to use a larger driver that day for the additional confidence.

The ordering process was definitely not something I would be crazy about. Very vague and hard to tell if they got all the information or not. I was thinking I would get contacted by a rep after submitting my order form , but no contact. Everything was done thru email by Mr. B himself. ( which was kinda cool ) But after seeing a bunch of his work online, I was intrigued enough to just go with his flow. I am actually happy that I took the plunge. As for feel, I would say it is actually slightly firmer than Carbon Steel. but not by a lot. Definitely not "clicky" so to speak. After getting used to the Kitada putter, I am really liking my putters on the firmer side. "Soft" definitely feels good in your hands, but I found that I get better feedback and much better distance control with firmer feeling putters. What is interesting is that even though the impact feels firmer with these stainless steel putters, I think I am feeling the ball sticking on the face for fraction of a second before it actually starts rolling, similar to what you feel at impact with forged irons. Anyway, I am really satisfied with how the putter came out. Most of all, it's 1 out of 1 in the whole world!

Re-introducing S-Yard – The Rebirth of a Premium Brand and the T.388 Driver
I played a match this afternoon on St. Andrews Jubilee course using my T.388 driver. No, not in Scotland... I wish, but on an indoor simulator here in Bozeman, Montana. I have to say that I am really loving this driver. I think I am as consistent as my AF-102 I have been gaming last season.... well, at least on simulator.... Only slight issue is that when I go after the ball too much, I get a bit too high of a launch angle and lose overall distance by about 20 yards. When I can keep my swing smooth and in check, I get a nice mid trajectory with lots of roll. My T.388 is currently shafted with a BB7 S which is working quite well with this head. Guys, this driver is much more forgiving than the Zero or the Ezone 380 for sure. It is definitely worth a try if you are looking for a workable driver with more than reasonable forgiveness built into it.

Putters!! Yonex Ezone EZP-001, Odyssey Japan #7 CS White Ice ix
Got a couple of putters for sale. I have added a few putters to my collection recently and need to sell some that I will not be using. 1. Mint condition Yonex Ezone EZP-001 forged putter 35" 550g overall 1deg flat lie Shaft is NS Pro heavy shaft but is extended at the butt 1.5" Black leather grip comes with headcover in mint condition. Deep milled face provides very soft feel at impact. This is the softest feeling forged putter I have had. $150 shipped with US PP gifted 2. Lightly used Odyssey Japan White Ice #7 CS ix 34" Head and head cover has been used for approximately 3 months last season. Shaft and grip was replaced when new with a different one while in use. Brand new stock shaft and grip has been put back on. Grip still in wrapper. One slight blemish on head. Hardly noticeable. ix insert has great feel and rolls the ball well. #7 CS is still my favorite of all Odyssey mallets. $150 shipped with US PP gifted

new forged irons releasing soon
Honma is coming out with some new irons. They are targeting non-senior low to mid handicap players for these. I really like the design of the MBs. release said is 2/20 Probably in time for the Golf Fair Also, Roddio is teaming up with both Miura and Zodia for some limited edition irons. These irons are calling your name Stew-san!! Could not find good pics on these though. Again official release looks to be at the Golf Fair. some pics here on this blog. http://ameblo.jp/yms...1453303733.html http://ameblo.jp/ga-...1409009319.html Notice the shape of the toe. Pointy toe from Zodia and rounded toe from Miura.

I won!!
Sorry for the bragging post guys...... but I just won a set of their new Modus 3 130 shafts from Nippon!! Posted my Nippon shaft story on their Facebook page for entry. I guess there weren't much entries. I have not won anything like this in my life. I just might have to finally pull the trigger on some muscle back heads I have been looking for. I am so excited!!

Re-introducing S-Yard – The Rebirth of a Premium Brand and the T.388 Driver
I finally realized that weight thing on the sole is designed after a cog gear from watches!!!! Seiko being its parent company!!!!. I was thinking it was a steering wheel from a yacht or something :) I think I can sleep better at night now!!

Re-introducing S-Yard – The Rebirth of a Premium Brand and the T.388 Driver
Thanks for a great write up, Gocchin!! Good to know that altering weight may impact performance. ( I guess this is true with any driver, but probably pronounced more in a smaller head ) the design of the T.388 in my mind is similar to muscle back irons where all is about functional form. Simple, lean and pure with no additives!! There's a Japanese word "Kino bi" which means "functional beauty." I think Kino bi best describes the T.388 as well as Zero and Z:en. Looking forward to more great designs to come out of Kobayashi-san.
