I don’t know... using a car brand on golf clubs seems cheesy to me. I’m sure they are good clubs...
  2. OP is about feedback on STP. I hope the information provided was useful.
  3. I’ve had the chance to try one of the Areso putters. Very good fundamental CG design based on what I heard. Combined with the SAM putting lab fittings, you’ll be able to pin down your exact fit model! I was fitted to a 42 deg toe hang blade by Benock but Areso guys recommended a 55 deg toe hang mid mallet. It did seem to roll straighter with their recommended putter type.
  4. Can’t speak to the Ryomas since I’ve never tried them but great choices on the other two!! For forgiveness I’d pick the Jbeam. But for workability , Crazy all Ti is the one you want! Both are long and feels phenomenal off the face.
  5. I can only speak for the Proto 100 and 85 Iron . For reference I currently use Modus 125 S or Modus 120 X as my go to shafts. The 100 Protos were indeed a bit stout feeling and I really could not load the shaft enough. Having said that, they were the straightest hitting shaft I haver ever had. Due to the stout feel of the shaft, even if you had super soft feeling carbon steel forged heads, all you feel is the shaft. To that point, I have yet to discover any carbon shaft that would feel as good as heavier Modus steel shafts. So beware of the feel difference. Now 85 irons are much more feasible with decent feel and I can load the shaft. I replaced my Crazy Black UT shafts with the STP 85 Iron shafts. They are so stable and it still transmits the good feel off the head. I have a Romaro Type R UT 18deg and Modart MA01H 19deg both with this shaft and they are both excellent. Idea of progressive weight flow is definitely interesting but check with Crazy if this is even doable. I've used the MCI Black 100S and they were really good feeling and made the long irons really forgiving .. Not sure about the TOUR 95 unfortunately.
  6. No it’s not... ELF Ti on the face. Feels as soft as SP700 but I still think SP700 has a bit more pop off the face.
  7. since I started using the AF153 driver I have not been missing much fairway. Putts are contributing for sure. Not missing short ones as frequently as I used to. So that helps. To sum up... I think all aspects of my game have improved just ever so slightly over the winter. I have been trying very hard to delay my release in my swing when I am at the range. I think it helps me hit straighter shots with pretty much all clubs including putting. ?
  8. Love those Yonex irons! they were my very first JDM forged irons back in 2010 or so. It had the sweetest feel with some DG S400s . After many many different irons I have tried over the last 10 + years, I'm not sure if I've actually found a combo that feels sweeter than those! So so good!
  9. Boy what a rollercoaster ride of a round today for Ricky Fowler!! Was exciting to watch!!

Are they trying to get funding to end global warming or something? . as for 303 milled heads, I've actually had a set a long time ago from a component company called SMT . likely made in China so probably a lower grade 303.... but I thought the feel was decently mild. but it just felt less refined than your typical mild carbon steel. So I looked at their website and all the gibberish there is to make the product sound like something super special and first of its kind... they claim no one has made full CNC milled iron heads before.... which we know is definitely not true... All the processes, design, marketing, manufacturing, plating etc were done by separate companies in the Nagoya area with zero experience in golf clubs.... it would have been cool if theirdesign was really wacky and something out of our imagination we've actually never seen before, but they came together to form a local business energizing project with a bunch of newbies in golf and came up with something that looks... well... very very "ordinary" to be honest... They could have at least done like a 24K gold plating or something more flashy. I think 22k dollars would be much better spent on stocks for a space travel company at this point. ?
  11. Thanks guys!! really happy about the score!! I hope I can maintain the good streak through the season!
  12. I DID IT!!! 37/34 for a 71!!! Woohoooo!!
  13. Great looking irons. I can't believe they made those so strong lofted though!! (43 deg PW ) But I guess that is an inevitable trend these days even with forged irons.

Wow!! 360000 yen per club!! and it looks ..... kind a normal.... Would 100% opt for the Seven CB or MCB in a heartbeat!! What are they thinking?!!
  15. Forgot to mention SDJ Proto 115 wedges are also excellent if you don't mind a straighter leading edge.
  16. One thing that you'll need to be mindful of is that some of the more "forgiving" wedges sold in Japan may have some offset as Japanese players don't seem to mind having offset in wedges. Jumbo Ozaki played the Masda M425 wedges for a long time and those have a lot of offset and interestingly enough, they came out with a straight neck model earlier last year but the "gooseneck" version still seems to be the more popular style sold in Japan. Out of the many that I have seen and tried, I currently like the Seven STs the most. Shape, turf interaction and feel are excellent along with beautiful finish. I'm actually thinking about getting a satin chrome set to replace some Seven AGs. Our friend Cuistot loves his set!! The Miura S-01s that I am using currently are working well in our local conditions both dry and wet. After almost two full seasons in play. the face is starting to rust and copper plating is starting to show on the sole. I have their "Tour Grind" on them A Grind, Orion and Fourteen also have my interest at the moment. Although the funky name, I am reading good things about Razzle Dazzle wedges as well. Perhaps we need to get together soon for a wedge shootout and help you decide.
  17. I found some info on the DP model on the Nippon Japan website! Briefly translated.... "DP stands for "Dual Profile" which is a design meant to cover both early release and late release swing types. A very stiff tip profile and very flexy butt profile. This profile provided a mid to high trajectory for early release swings and lower trajectory for late release swings. They also made the shaft highly workable as Nippon was aiming to develop a shaft that worked well with tour players. This DP eventually became the "Modus 3 Tour 120" ... which was the first retail model of the Modus Tour series. "
  18. Typically, when you open the hatch, you will find more weights glued to the inside of the sole plate.
  19. I've tried the Cobra F9. Decent club but unfortunately no different from other USDM offerings.
  20. I've seen tools sold on the Japanese auction sites but they are not supposed to be circulating in the market. Roddios are normally sold through their Concierge shops where they custom configure and build clubs after a fitting. The ferrule is easy to remove with a heat gun , yes but there is actually shaft adapter in the hosel. the shiny aluminium part is the shaft adapter and it is epoxied into the hosel. The proper way for reshafting is actually to also remove the shaft adapter but the shaft adapter is not easily removable and Roddio claims it is not re-usable even if you could remove it clean. The shaft adapters are not available through any retailers. There are no aftermarket parts made either. I've owned a couple of Roddios before but due to the difficulty in reshafting for us hobby builders, I just gave up on them and I will not buy their products even from the used market.
  21. I like the blast lettering on the sole. an update to a classic, tried and true design!!! I still like the Crazy 435 Black LIMITED the best!! just because of the all black cosmetics.

BTW Those are CPM figures on standard length 6 irons with swing weights around D2

I believe those oval logos are the older stickers they used to use. https://www.tourspecgolf.com/shimada-k-s-hybrid-shaft.html Though I am not familiar with how they play, CPM wise compares stiffer than most other heavy weight steel shafts except for Modus 130. Modus 130 X 376 CPM K's Tour X 368 CPM Project X 6.5 362 CPM KBS Tour X 360 CPM DG X100 354 CPM

I believe JBeam uses "real loft" for their heads. plus the low spin will likely exaggerate the low trajectory as well. GLWS!!!

Those SUSs are the chrome plated version. they made 400 non plated and only 100 plated versions for these. from my experience, these somehow go longer than other iron heads of the same loft. My guess is that they actually have good CG design and thus optimized performance. needless to say, very soft off the face. Been my gamer for the last 6 months. Loving them!!
