The other thing I like about this driver compared to the MA01DS is the toe shape. I know it sounds crazy but the slightly edgy/ pointy corners around the face actually bothered me on the previous versions. This one seems rounded off around the face and really looks good.

Thanks for all the feedback, Gents!! now that I can be confident about the face angle, my next challenge is picking the right shaft combo. For this 435 head, the BX 70 seems too low spin as the ball looks like a knuckle ball.

Arrrgghh... starting to think I should actuallty go with this head instead of the ZY7 to pair it with my7D shaft. Chris, how would you compare ZY7 vs this +R? Probably very different all together... How are the Sound , Feel and Forgiveness?

Good to know!! Truth of the matter is I think I actually need a square face. So I think it's just getting used to the looks. As long as the ball flies straight, then I am good.

I think the higher loft also adds to that closed look ...

What I am really really hoping is that this ZY-7 paired with a 7D shaft will get that Ping G driver out of my bag!!!

I just got my Crazy 435 Black Limited last week and I paired it with a Fire Express BX70 shaft. I ordered this head as 10deg and Sqaure Face angle . Normally I use/order 9.5 deg heads with square face angle. But knowing these 435 heads launch lower than most, I ordered the 10 deg this time. Regarding face angle... I wanted to see if it's a known and common issue with these heads where the face angle "looks" slightly closed at address. Depending on how I situate the grip relative to the head. ( forward or back ) I get a different look on the face angle. With this new club, I need to situate the grip waaay forward to make the face angle look square. I have not had this issue with other heads in 9.5 deg... when I order square, they looked square. Have not hit this club yet, so don't know if this is going to cause me to hook too much or what. Thoughts??

There was no way we could have known that you bought this putter for an added premium. I'll apologize for misjudging initially, but I think a background explanation for pricing would have helped with the misjusdgement.

So I do see that the Vault did offer this in Jan 21 of this year. But this is just a "Itsybitsy Black" and should not to be confused with the Jason Day Proto Slant Neck which they sold back in August. Moreover, I thought this BST prohibits "profit sellers" as I understand it. Selling something that was originally priced at $275 for $900 ... is what I would consider "profit selling" Also, just to point out, the picture of the face looks more like in use for 10 years rather than just 2 rounds. Maybe just dried watermarks but looks like scuffed painted area.

Chris, Are you about ready to share your thoughts around the ZY-7? We are waiting eagerly your first impressions of this new head!!

A word about these shafts. These are really good shafts! Been using them for about 1.5 months in my MP64s. Unlike the Modus 120 Stiff, the 105 stiff plays true to flex. I feel they have a great balance of control / accuracy and distance. Much better than the NS Pro 1050GH in my opinion. I think they are the best mid weight steel shaft offering out on the market now. GLWS!!

I put on some Tour G 30 ( softer tip section) corded grips in my irons and they are super nice.

Mine were OTI 95s.
