  1. oh just a shot in the dark! best of luck with the golds...def jealous.
  2. Awesome putter. BTW that is my last name too and half my family is in sf.
  3. Great, I can finally chime in on this shaft. setup: Muso XDB Stiff 45.5" T388 9.5 D2 vs Quadra TPV Fire SX 45.5" T388 D2 yes i have two T388 heads mainly because they are absolutely amazing. I brought both of these drivers to Hawaii with the intent to test them on the range and course. Thoughts: The Muso is a good shaft and felt lighter than the Quadra. I also felt the bend point on the downswing was more in the middle of the shaft whereas the bend point in the Quadra was more towards the tip. This could be that the Quadra is a tad bit stiffer than the Muso. Ball flight on the range between the two shafts were pretty similar. In general i have a high ball flight with a miss to the right which is typically a block. I can get too long on my back swing with a definite over parallel at the top. this causes me to either hit high blocks or dead pulls/hooks with the blocks occuring more often. the muso due to its flex forced me to swing slower on the downswing. i have a quiet and slow take away but really accelerate on the downswing. the Muso lacked control and stability on the downswing whereas the quadra was far more stable. i slowed my downswing and the muso worked pretty well with similar trajectory to the quadra- med trajectory. maybe this is the benefit of the muso, it will keep my swing more in tempo but i can say for certainty i will not be able to go after the ball with this shaft. It simply made my errors even worse and imparted more side spin that i would have liked when fully accelerating on the downswing i think ill hit the muso a little more in Maui but right now the quadra is staying the bag. perhaps i need to go with the X muso instead of the S.
  4. Mauna Kea action! first time playing here since they remodeled the greens and bunkers. i think they did a great job just wish i converted on more birdies. lipped out 3 of 4 chances within 10 feet. ugh. Mauna Lani tomorrow! Range: A little JDM in Hawaii
  5. hi doc, how do the heads on the on offs look. picture blew up small so just checking in on # of rounds on on offs and overall wear.
  6. love the look. i might be all over these next year. any try these yet?
  7. i checked their website and i think after 11am the best price is see is 215 USD. the kapalua site is 228 USD. is 75 USD perhaps during slow season? im definitely going to be bringing my clubs. I NEVER rent. Also, i will finally get to test out the geotech muso shaft in my t388!
  8. Chris, thanks for the suggestions. ill def try them out especially the food. I played Makena maybe 15 years ago but that was when i was a wee lad. Have you or has anyone played King Kamahameha?
  9. serious shame. ill def drink to those who unfortunately lost their jobs. and my two T388s are definitely staying with me
  10. Chris, Big Island - Hilton Grand Vacations Maui - Grand Wailea what do you recommend in Maui? We are basically locals on the big island (would welcome more hotspots) but know nothing about Maui.
  11. I actually havent played MK since they remolded it. Maybe i should check that one out. Waikoloa is solid and we get discounts but i have litereally played those courses maybe 100+ times. Four Seasons Hualalai is a good course but not great. Its nothing all that memorable and relatively easy. i really wish i could get onto Lanai but they are currently renovating the challenge and the other course is aerating mid september
  12. As title states. Ill be in: Big Island (Kohala Coast) 18th-23rd Maui 23rd to 29th The Big Island I know really well. Plan on playing Mauna Lani South, perhaps one of the Waikoloas and may even drive down to play Makalei. Maui: Planation course is a must. they aerate Sept 2-3. so play would have to be on the weekend. (26 and 27). Also looking to play King Kamahameha. i do not know Maui as well as the Big Island so suggestions are welcome. Will be playing with my father who is 30HDCP. I play to a 4hdcp and am comfortable from < 7100 yards ( prob less with hawaii winds) but with my recent loss of a piece of my left thumb... who knows?? hit me up if youll be there!

  16. im pissed! i still havent been able to try this shaft out and its sitting in my basement! im on the shelf for the next couple weeks because the chef in me decided to almost cut my thumb off. should be ready in a couple weeks but ugh this is my first forced layoff from golf EVER.
  17. correct. chris suggested to keep it at 46" even if i cut it down to 45" that would only get it to d6. still wayyyy to heavy for a driver. my T388s are at d2. i think the kamui is going to hit the bst soon.
  18. ugh so forget the muso and kamui right now. i couldnt get the swingweight below D8!!! but i do have another T388 9.5 head and ill shaft that up with the Muso. slight delay
  19. i have an xdb 65s sitting in my basement right now that will go in a kamui ray. i think ill shaft it up today and hit the range tonight. will post reviews later today.
  20. for the price its totally worth it. i just ordered the xdb65S. will report back in a couple weeks! plan to put it in a kamui ray
  21. Chris, so what am i getting here? looking at the shop and the descriptions it looks like the XDB65S. currently playing the messenger S 1st at 45" just to confirm is there a typo here? "The SXB65 is meant for the aggressive/ faster swingers while the XDB55 is more for the average players. "
  22. i hate this thread. about 2 years ago I wanted to simplify my life and i sold my 1975 submariner, iwc 3714 port and patek 5066a aquanaut.... reading this posts makes me miss them...
  23. Seriously Chris 46"?!? do you have any idea how the MUSO XDB65 Stiff will play at 44.5? i wish i could play a 46" driver but i am just not a fan of that playing length
  24. thanks idrive. Epons sold! will close post.
