  1. Machine • My gamer and has been in the bag for almost 2 seasons. M10 (Anser style) Damascus Face Balanced o This putter is in my bag for a reason. It is a fully functional putter with tremendous feel and accuracy. I prefer putters that are a little more firm than carbon steel and a little softer than stainless steel. o Machine is 100% custom and given the materials that I had them use, the putter was not cheap ~2k USD. I worked with Chris on the initial order and with Dave, the owner, on the design of the putter. o The finish is relatively durable but I must admit that the putter does require care. I use a silicon cloth on it after every round and polish it every now and then with carnauba wax. o Roll off the face is tight and I think it has to do with the grooves that Machine uses. Byron • Prior to ordering from Machine, I originally wanted Byron to make me a Damascus putter. Unfortunately Byron would not make one. • However, I have owned a stainless steel 008x from Byron and liked it. However, I bought it pre-owned and the loft was a little higher than I would have liked. I prefer 2.5* and I think the Byron was around 4.5* which didn't work well for me and the greens I play on. • The SS, obviously, required very little maintenance. Piretti • I was buying Piretti when he first got started which was around 3 years ago. I have had two cottonwoods. • Carbon CW2: Great little putter. The increased weight really helped my stroke and I like the elongated head. I actually sold this putter not too long ago as it was just collecting dust. o This putter had a great finish to it and required ZERO maintenance. • SS Limited Edition CW2 o This putter is still on my putter rack. It is the same as the original CW but in stainless steel. I take it out from time to time and it is a nice change. o Overall the CW2 is a little less consistent than the Machine and it boils down to the balance of the putter. The Machine is face balanced whereas the CW2 probably has a toe hang of around 7 oclock. In general, I believe Machine is my putter of choice just based on the fact that they were 110% willing to work with me on any design modification that I had. Byron, unfortunately did not want to make a putter and Piretti is for the most part off the rack. If you are going 100% custom Machine first and then Byron. If you would like some pictures please let me know and I can snap some of the Machine and Piretti.

ill chime in again....this driver has changed my game completely and i had a pretty good game prior to getting this. in fact, at times i feel embarrassed because i am literally 30-50 yards past my playing partners.
  4. youll have to update us ASAP. btw, i am still getting amazing results with this driver. I had my "B-" swing for 3 range sessions and 1 round but i still got excellent results from this driver. my last two rounds i have had my A- swing and i was finding myself in parts of the fairways that i have never found myself before. the scary thing about this driver is that my bad swings (left to right miss) with this club result in distances as long or longer than the good swings of my playing competitors. of course, my playing competitors are about 15hdcps.
  5. buy into the hype. incredible and 100% worth it. best money ive ever spent.
  6. my toe shots werent traveling as far as my centered shots but that may be because toe shots launched pretty high with less roll. i wont be golfing this weekend but i will be sure to get in a range session next tuesday. also, toe shots didnt gear towards center at all and just stayed straight. not complaining though!
  7. So I’ve been following all of the threads surrounding Syards T.388 and marveled at the claims of greater distance, extra roll etc… As a result of these threads I bought into the “claims” of this driver and ordered a 9.5 Stiff from Tario. First off, I got the driver last week and my first impression was that for the price, the headcover was just plain awful. And that’s where the bashing ends… After 1 intense range session and 2 full rounds of golf under my belt, my biggest complaint about the driver is “WHY DIDN’T THIS DRIVER COME OUT YEARS AGO?” The range session that I had was absolutely stunning. My first swing felt as if it took no effort and the sound/feel off the club face was truly magic. I am coming from a Kamui Ray driver head and the feel of the Syard is significantly far superior. I hit perhaps 50 drives at the range, which for me is a lot. Pure hits were just flat out crushed and toe shots still went high but straight. I am a high ball hitter and the 9.5 certainly brought my trajectory down towards a more piercing flight. Toe hits went straight although I couldn’t tell if there was any distance loss. Heel misses geared back towards the area I was aiming at. At some point during the range session a few people came over to me asking me what kind of driver this was (People in Boston have no clue what JDM is) and how I could be hitting such long drives with a much smaller head. Anyways, the range session was nothing short of spectacular and I initially had some hesitation towards the stiff shaft (im at 105mph) and overall size. That hesitation was gone after that session. However, there is always a honeymoon phase so I was trying to temper my excitement. Then came the two rounds early this week. My god. My average drives with the kamui were around 270 total yards and misses were not well rewarded. With the Syard: 285 total yards easy. Well hit drives hit up to 300 and toe shots went around 270. I purposely hit multiple tee shots on the same hole just to see how mis**ts would react. I really couldn’t understand how a 388CC head could be more forgiving than my 460CC kamui. Also, given that this is a low spin driver, the accuracy of this head is just far superior to anything that I have played. Perhaps I am still in the honey moon phase but this driver in its short duration is nothing short of amazing.

  9. i just got a couple of these wedges and here are some of my thoughts: 58* bought head only and when shafted it was 5* upright. took a ton of bending to get to -2* but the club bent very easily. shafted with TT spinner + 2 full rounds and a couple range sessions later i can say that this is one of the most versatile clubs i have used. i originally thought that the bounce of the club would be too low but after countless flops, bunker shots, knock downs on the practice area and on the course, i have come to really appreciate its versatility. i have not taken any full shots with this club. spin is excellent but it is brand new so this may change. 49* shafted with TT s200. awesome trajectory on full and half shots. high launching shots just stop on the green. half shots are very controllable. i was able to open the face of the 49* to some degree. this really improves its versatility and i get a smooth, easy transition when the clubhead hits the turf in general, the feel of these wedges are spectacular and at the price, are without a doubt an absolute steal. i currently have the 2012 WC miura 52 (bent to 54) and for about half the price the geotechs are just as good.

  14. per Tarios suggestions, I ordered mine with the 65s fubuki upgrade and received the club early last week. I am coming from a Titleist 910F which has a much smaller profile so keep that in mind. After 2 range sessions and 36 holes later this club is an absolute beast. of course i am still in the honeymoon phase but i absolutely love hitting this club. Setup: this is really the only draw back of the club. Supo mentioned this earlier that the toe points up to the sky very noticeably. For me, this causes the club face to look and setup closed which at times leads me to a power draw (no duck hooks yet). however, that having been said, i can very easily control the club face at impact so i have had no real issues with trying to create fades. Impact: just awesome. it feels as if i can sense the compression of the ball at impact and the sound is spectactular. Distance/trajectory: i am a med to high ball hitter and was able to hit high and low trajectory shots. distance on this club was ridiculous. I dont swing too fast (106 mph avg) with a 265 driver carry. This 3 wood was carrying 250 off the tee easy with about 5-10 yards roll out. off the fairway it was a little less with about a 235 carry. as of right now, i have NO regrets with paying 600 +USD for this club.
  15. still up for sale. offers accepted.
