  1. love it...can't wait!
  2. yep, and iirc that was what set them apart from other graphite shafts. they figured out how to use steel fibers to increase weight instead of having to increase wall thickness. i have the heavier 125g stiff flex in mine and they're pretty darn true to flex.
  3. aerotechs are very smooth, nothing like anything steel i can think of but close enough to steel that you don't feel like you're playing graphite. i have them in my af-tours and it's a pretty good set-up.
  4. i'll add that for me, the royal deco is a slight fade bias whereas the lyo2 is slight draw bias. haven't hit the proto yet so i can't comment there...
  5. looking forward to updates!
  6. i was able to take the drivers out to the range again today. results were really pretty similar. i've been gaming the kamui for the last 2 rounds and it's easy to fall in love with it's feel, not to mention it's performing extremely well. because of that, i really wanted it to significantly outperform the 435. damn that awful sounding, horrible feeling 435...it just keeps right up!!! i was able to get the ryoma to close the gap a bit by putting a nice draw swing on it but this club is set up to keep the left side out of play so that's not something i would want to try very often when it counts. like a few have said, if we could get the performance of the 435 with the feel of...well just about anything else...it would be game over!
  7. but you gotta try them at least once...
  8. looking forward to a follow up after you get to hit these!
  9. i would definitely do it! my yardages are dialed in with modern (stronger) lofts and if i got a new set with traditional lofts i'd immediately bend them to my game rather than spending the next 6 months figuring out new yardages. besides, my ball flight is so high anyways that traditional/weaker lofts are detrimental to my game.
  10. you two are partially to blame so don't pretend to be so innocent!!!
  11. well i'm finally settled on my bag...until one of you guys throws something on bst that i haven't tried anyways! the ryoma 9.5* with crazy royal deco la bomba will alternate with a jbeam 435 9.5* on a crazy ly02 (both in stiff) depending if i want a controlled straight/slight fade or a bomber draw with tons of roll that day. the yamaha inpres xv 14* on a stiff diamana ilima has 3w duties...at least until i can try a ryoma f2. the tour issue adams pnt2 16* on a stiff roddio pentacross i8 fills the utility slot. irons are yururi raw flatbacks 4-pw on kbs c-tapers in r+. wedges are yururi raw gekkus in 49* (bent to 50*), 53* (bent to 54*), and 61* all on kbs c-taper 8iron shafts butt cut to length to give me consistent feel and look throughout the set but give a touch more spin for control. everything is gripped by kangaroo gripmasters. putting duty is taken care of by a yamada shogun in burning copper at 33.5".
  12. since i'm not a shaft ho...give me the low-down on these things!
  13. their s3 pro line is forged by endo but i don't know about the amp line. tsg staff may have the answer.
  14. some nice things going on here! here's my casual friday offering...
  15. you're handicap is a 4.1...i can't imagine you not being able to play blades!!??? btw, these new blades and that damned putter have left me in awe. i'm not sure i've ever wanted a bag of clubs just to look at in my living room but these have made me lust!
  16. i've not hit those particular miuras so others will have to comment. i have hit the callaways on the range and i don't think i could compare them to my af-tours except to say that they're both mb's. i'm not saying they're bad because they're not...there's just not anything special that stands out about them.
  17. let me know how that works out. i rarely swing over 80% but if i do, although it's still controllable, i definitely have to prepare for more draw.
  18. it had my test shaft...the shaft i test all my drivers with, ust/mamiya red tour series 69. it's probably one of the highest launching shafts there is so it was a tad bit higher than the ly02.
  19. just put this shaft in play mounted to my 435...can you say bomber! slight draw with tons of roll! this has got to be one of the lowest spin combos out there.
  20. this actually surprises me since it's typically the younger generation so caught up in the damned pc/tolerance movement and always seems to be offended by something that doesn't even affect them. personally, i'm not offended by the name...and my family is from kaneohe!
