You Ask We Listen! The Official RomaRo Thread!!!
Ian-500 replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Now that there CB is just golf porn. I can't take anymore! -
Swing - the clubs are out there, you just need to look in the right places. There is the odd 1 or 2 that comes on the BST in your price range, but the best places are either ebay.com or TSG Pro Shop.com, which is where I found this little beauty:

You Ask We Listen! The Official RomaRo Thread!!!
Ian-500 replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Guys, here's a quick insight to what a friend of mine thinks of the New Romaro woods and ute: "The Romaros are actually very good, in fact surprisingly so. The 3 wood is especially good into the wind and I found it longer than my friends Callaway driver when we played last weekend. Can't remember which driver it is but it has that new forged composite head so must be quite recent. Romaro was probably 30 yards further up the fairway which was very good to see since we both used to be about the same length with our drivers. The 5 wood is equally good but the hybrid is probably the best of the lot. The driver is very long but took a bit of getting used to as it has a very curved face and needs to be a bit closed at address otherwise the ball slices off for miles! It wasn't just me who found this but everybody who tried it (handicaps from 6 to 14)." My friend buys all his JDM from TSG. -

Stunning looking club, helped by some great photography. Is this Tario' work or Chris'? -
You are the worst photographer in the world! Lol. I need that Yamaha mate.......PM sent
-
Not taken with the irons, but the drivers/woods/rescues look great, as do the bags. The bags that are stuffed full of ONOFF gear must cost a fortune! That 17* 5W is calling me............muuuaahahaha.........muuuahahahahahahahaha
-
They look SWEEEEET, but I don't know if they're fakes or not
-
Those will look sweet. GLWS. Any chance of more pics of your irons in the 'WITB' section?

Hi G-man. Welcome to this crazy forum (no pun intended). Have a look at this little review of the 502's and 302's: http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/33251-epon-502-vs-epon-302/ Personally, even though i haven't gamed either head, I prefer a smaller head so I wouldn't buy those 502's. However, I've heard good things about the aerotechs and would like to give them a whirl one day, sooooooo I'd be torn. Hahaha no help whatsoever! If there's any doubts in your mind then don't buy, but, if the price is a steal then even if you don't like them i'm sure you'll be able to get your money back if you sold them here.

I've found a driver shaft that works........
Ian-500 replied to Ian-500's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Thanks Dale. My 40th is on the 25th. Arrggghhh, getting old now! I can't afford to change the shaft!! And because of that I'm glad I've found a good 'un -

Yes I will definitely put a kai'li 70X in my next 3W/4W, without a doubt. I think the shaft you refer to is the.........Daimana X. I might give this a go if and when funds permit, but if the Kai'li is giving me what I need then who knows. -

Looking on Facebook, it seems that some of my family members that are in New Jersey are still without power. Is this the same for you guys? -

Hahaha, I'll never turn down a try out with other shafts when offered the chance, I just hope that this is 'the one'. Oh and I need to sort out the rest of the bag now. 1 down, 13 to go! Never say never though :) -

Oooooo vanla01, you're such a tease! -
Just my thought..........but when it comes to driver shafts, I think I've found my holy grail, my nirvana, my no.1. The shaft that takes that crown is the Diamana Kai'li. After attending a big demo day at The Belfry last year, I was fitted with the Kai'li 60S in a Cally Razr Hawk and a TM R11 (on seperate launch monitors in separate booths), I thought the numbers were very good for my swing. Then late this summer I had some range and course time using a Kamui Works Ray with a 60X and it was amazing. I've now got myself a Yammie 4.6V, fitted a 60X and after 1 range session earlier today it's cemented the Kai'li as my driver shaft of choice. I have no idea what the swing weights/head weights/playing lengths were of the first 2 drivers mentioned, but they both gave me my desired ball flight (straight) and length at the time. Now that my swing speed has moved up a notch, I'm guessing at about 105mph to 110mph, the next 2 drivers are giving me a similar ball flight but with more length! The specs of the last 2 drivers are similar too, Kamui played at 45", head weight of 200g, 9.75* loft and 0.5* open. Yammie playing 45 1/2", head weight of 202g, 9* loft and square. One difference is that I had a 3g weight added to the tip to get a SW of D3 for the Yammie. I can also say that with all 4 different heads the dispersion has been tight. Do I need to try other shafts? I'm not sure. I think as long as I get a head that looks and feels good, and is close to the specs previously mentioned, then this shaft is staying put. I've tried a few USDM; Grafalloys, Matrix, UST Mamiyas and Aldilas, and a few JDM; Crazy TJ46, GD YSQ/DI and Fuji Speeder 757/Motore F1, it just happens that I've come across the shaft that seems to suit my swing. Hip hip hooray! I'm playing at the Belfry this Saturday, so that will give me an even better indication of what the shaft is like, mainly because I'll be using proper Srixons rather than crappy range balls, but I kinda know that it'll be awesome. I'll keep you posted :)

Cool. Don't forget to report back mate.

Blimey Dale, I didn't think you were that fast. I think you're faster than me. You hide it well. Lol. I think you will need an X flex mate, but which shaft to choose? Were these figures with the LL? The club face angle of 0.02* at impact is fantastic. Was this and all the other figures an average or your best? And over how many hits?

Man o man, first ones I've seen for sale. They look stunning. I doubt these will be here in the morning when the guys in the far east wake up! GLWS
-
Great little review mate. I love the look of the copper. Can we have more piccies please, including the shafts :)
-
Great price Jay. If this hasn't sold by Friday (payday!) I'll be in touch, so, er.......don't have too much luck with your sale. Lol ;)
-
Nooooooooooooooooo. Great bag here folks. This will DEFINITELY get you noticed. GLWS

I'm asking the same question as Jay but with Modus 3's. I have Modus 3 120 X flex in my irons, so should I butt trim 3 x Modus 3 120 X flex iron shafts for my new wedge builds?

Good review Kokkee. How does the Kamui Works Ray compare to the Crazy 460?
