  1. I wish more companies would build more good FW shafts in 75-90 gram range. 75-80 is my sweet spot, anything lighter might get me 5 more yards or so but at the expense of massive amounts of control. I'd bet most people would fare better going heavier as well. Hell, if you need to hit it farther, hit driver. But I know, I know…..distance sells.
  2. Interested in that MT shaft, anybody hit it? But surely it doesn't have a stiffer AND softer tip, does it? ;)
  3. Looks great, especially the low offset. Might be the deepest cavity I've ever seen, must launch the ball high with all that weight down there, maybe that's why the strong lofts?
  4. That 2007 is really nice-looking, but come on! "Fast and Strong"??!! lol
  5. me likey, mikey
  6. Does that Mizzy bag come with a bag of weed in the pocket?
  7. Nobody has ever hit anything that feels as good as a Miura small blade. Let's just get that out of the way. Now, if you like that and the MP-64, you might not be totally enthralled with the 302. More of a mushy, not-as much-feedback type of feel IMO. I would look at the new Yamaha CB, a little bigger and more forgiving than the 64 I think and with (at least the '12's) better, more feedback-giving feel. Or even that PRGR that Chris mentioned, although I've never hit that.
  8. ^^^^^^^ I almost believed you until the last couple statements. If you're shooting 80 no matter what you use, you ain't no average mid-handicapper. lol Unless you're playing a par-3 course. Edit: then I saw you HC in your profile and now am sure you're no avg mid-cap.
  9. Doesn't make much sense to gain 5-10 extra yards, which is all an extra inch or 2 is gonna give you all other things being equal, if your accuracy will be reasonably diminished. Unless you're one of those guys that likes to remember the one great bomb you hit as opposed to your score.
  10. If Yamaha used your photos they'd be twice as successful as they are. I feel like buying everything you photograph and post. Oh crap, maybe I do.
  11. JDM gear. And girls. Just not that one above who could eat an apple through a picket fence.
  12. Bounce is your friend. That's not that much.
  13. Yeah, some of their irons look amazing but the offset on almost all of them is a killer for me. A little is ok, but they always seem to have more than other irons in the category vs. other makers.
  14. Why would they use titanium to make it heavier when titanium is so light AND hard to work with? Doesn't sound real smart, I must say. "Hey, let's use some Ti to make it light and sound cool and expensive, then mix in a bunch of tungsten, etc to make it heavier that the steel it replaces."
  15. Haha, love it……"Honey, I TRIED to sell them but there were no takers and I don't wanna LOSE money on 'em, they're an investment. Guess I'll just have to keep them." Perfect!
  16. Not to butt in (but I guess I am :), but T told me last year that stamping can't be changed and set make-up can't be either. Such as making a combo set. I was interested in a CB/SB2 combo with less stamping but was told they wouldn't do either. Maybe they'll change their minds?
  17. The SB-02 is shaped identically to the baby blade but slightly bigger. The SB-01 is exact same size and shape. And I inquired about a combo set of cb-02(?) and SB-02 a couple years ago and was told they wouldn't do it. Maybe they will now. Good luck if they do and I wanna see pics!
  18. Congrats on finding Nirvana. I'm still looking….

Better if they weren't chrome IMO.
  21. Thanks, Bill! I never thought of that last deal where you lay them on their side, great idea to get an idea about offset.
  22. I think you would be size Sasquatch in Japanese. lol Seriously, all the stuff I've gotten from Japan is about one size smaller than the US counterpart. I can do Medium in Japanese but sometimes Small in US swallows me.
  23. Great pic's, Bill. You think you could take one each at address of say the 7-irons at a 90* angle to the ground? That would be a great way to compare offset at address. Know it's a lot to ask but I'm thinking of pulling the trigger and don't wanna end up with something I can't be comfortable with. Some of the photos on the net make it look like they have a pronounced gooseneck. Thanks either way!
  24. I'm certainly no PETA apologist, but that gets my blood boiling. Ancient-shmancient, I don't give a crap how long you've done it, get with the 21st century and find a better way to do it or don't do it at all.
  25. Wish I could demo these. They look perfect, I'm just a little concerned about the offset. Not to mention I got so many sets already. Always trying for the perfect one though. Oh well, maybe I'll try to pick up a single iron somewhere and see for myself before springing for another whole set. Any ideas where one could do this?
