  1. LOLOL!!! Not my taste, but I applaud the creativity.
  2. I haven't read enough about them, but I think Chris is right: By blending the metals, the weight that the tungsten insert replaces is lesser, thereby increasing the net effect of adding the tungsten.
  3. This set didn't need refinishing, but I was sending in another set and I just couldn't help but think that these would be awesome in copper. I think I was right. Since a little after I sent them in (they took quite a while), I've had in mind to sell them, but now that they're here, I'm thinking that might be tough. One of the things I love about copper is how you can let them patina or keep them shiny with ease. Oh, what to shaft these bad boys with?! The pictures don't do them justice; I'll have to spend some time with something other than my phone camera.
  4. Is it me, or has the BST been boring lately. Time to spice it up with some gems. Prices are shipped to US; will work with you on worldwide shipping. Offers welcome; "what's your best price?" questions, not so much. RomaRo Pro Forged- heads only Great condition, standard specs. Worthy of their reputation as smooth and forgiving. $old RomaRo Tour Select 3W (14.5*) Crown and face are perfect; minor brush marks on the sole from the glossy finish (look worse that reality). Very long, great feel. $old with Accra DyMatch 2.0 MT70 M4 shaft (1.5" tipped for 3W) Tourstage MR-23 US Spec 53* Wedge - head only Very good condition. Solid wedge; you already know how good. $100 Yonex Ezone 56* Wedge - head only Very good condition. Currently bend to 58*. This thing is so versatile. $90
  5. I have a Tourstage Maru US Spec in 53* (easily bent) and Yonex Ezone in 56*.
  6. I felt all of those were true of the Flatbacks I had, Steve. Really not offset to speak of, but had the appearance of being so. BTW, Steve, someone reached out to buy my Flatbacks before I could disassemble a couple to send your way.
  7. Heads only Romaro Pro Forged 5-P and Yonex Ezone MB 3-P...both excellent!
  8. He probably means that he doesn't sell personally anymore - only through Scratch.
  9. Modus sold. I have one more set I'm considering selling. PM me if interested.
  10. Stew, PM me if you still have this shaft.
  11. Got some shafts for sale as follows, all in new pulled or barely used condition: Modus 3 120 Stiff 3-PW (38.25" 5i), $200. Modus 3 120 Stiff 5-PW (38" 5i), $150. Shimada Pro Hybrid Shaft - Stiff; excellent condition; 38 3/4" raw. $40 (I don't even know what a good price is, so let me know). Prices include shipping to US.
  12. I thought the ones idrive raves about are the 5000WC, no?
  13. The process was easy and the results were better than I expected. Next time, I'll try to take before and during pictures. Supplies: Bar Keeper's Friend Caswell Black Oxide Concentrate - http://www.caswellpl...oxide-kits.html Caswell Penetrating Sealer Bucket or quart/liter container (big enough to submerge club head) Sponge Foam brush Process: Dilute black oxide concentrate 9 parts distilled water (Caswell is pretty specific that distilled water is used) to 1 part black oxide concentrate in container. Only make enough to submerge a club head Clean rust, etc from clubs with Bar Keeper's Friend and wet sponge (Bar Keeper's friend is my go-to product for metal cleaning. It will refresh copper to bright and shiny!) Rinse head (I did not use distilled water for this part) Submerge head(s) in black oxide solution for 3-5 minutes Rinse with water (I did not use distilled water for this part) Brush on a light amount of penetrating sealer, covering head completely Allow to air dry (I left them to sit undisturbed for a few days, but less is probably fine) Results: It's like having a new set of clubs! Of course, I'm easy on my clubs - use head covers, try not to hit the ball too hard, etc. I was pleasantly surprised that they were not particularly oil by the time they were dry. I was thinking that in the future I might try to skip the rinsing and sealing steps (allow black oxide to dry), but the penetrating dried less messy than I expected. Next time, I may try to towel-dry them after a day of so. Gratuitous picture of meatballs I was making while writing this post:
  14. I think it's got to be the pictures; I can't imagine thinner than the Flat Backs. BTW, I just did my first black oxide refresh of the Flat Backs - unbelievably good results.
  15. Some have been known to like it better. I imagine there's a flip side to that, too. Sold to a friend.
  16. Have a good trade offer for this, but would rather turn it into cash, I think. 10.5*, head cover (awesome!) included. Priced for quick sale. $old shipped to US. International will be extra.
