Shimada Pros or SteelFibres for Tourstage 709 MC's?
I have the Areotech in one set Modus 3 in another and the MCI in the third. They all play different. My original reason for the Aerotech's was an elbow problem that was caused by steel shafts. The Areotech advantage is the weight and stiffness of the shaft. They play alot like steel shafts. Aerotechs come in different shaft weights so you can get them to feel as close to steel shafts as possible. The MCI is a different beast all together. They are smooth with great feedback. Very responsive during the transition phase of your swing and at impact. Cost is a big deal MCI's are worth the money, but the Aerotech's are a great substitute, you get a powerful shaft for half the cost.

Veylix shafts
RIDuffer thanks for the link. Hard to believe the cost is as low as they are offering. If the shaft is as good as they say, this might be a great way to go.

Veylix shafts
Appearance is great. Interested to know what price point these are at. If the cost is in line then might be worth a try!

Shimada Pros or SteelFibres for Tourstage 709 MC's?
I currently play the steelfibers 125 and find them to be low launch shafts that allow you to really swing hard when you need to. The shaft responds well to an aggressive swing. BTW the MCI's are worth the money currently have those in some VG3 and they are just beautiful

Syard GT Type S Irons WOW
I purchased these irons as well and have shafted them with Modus 3 and Nowon ichii grips. Only have used them on the range but am really impressed with the set-up and feel. Great looking club will take some time to get the most out of the head.

T.388 rolls on
The stock shaft is a tad soft, but in my hands that has not effected the results I am getting. I may look to change the shaft to something else soon, but for now I will keep playing the stock shaft.

T.388 rolls on
I must admit I am also very happy with the T.388. Not only am I getting long drives with incredible roll, they happen to find the middle of the fairway. If anything my usual fade has turned into a slight draw. The D-1 I have been using is no slouch either but my confidence level with the t.388 is very high.

rebuild for mid/late 50s guy
I currently play the Areotech 110's in a Stiff Flex and find them to be perfect for my aching elbow as the feel like steel shafts without the overly heavy feeling. Definitely a good suggestion.

Looking for a Killer Utility? George Spirits Mono it is!
Geotech 2013 GT Utility Club with the Graphite Design's 2012 Tour AD DI-Hybrid shaft works great as well, great club with a reasonable cost.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I think it may have more to do with the shaft and not the head. I don't believe there is an imbalance in the club, just the perception of imbalance. By this I mean that the shaft weight and club head are at odds with another, the shaft in another wedge head may work fine, here I think it give the club an overall heavy feeling down at the club head. The weight is most noticeable on the downswing just prior to making contact.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I believe that it make take at least another 3-4 rounds to get completely comfortable with the Bolds. As Riduffer said sticking with them is the right way to go and they may yet yield great results.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I have also noticed that to get the same distance as my other wedges I have to swing harder. That being said usually swinging harder leads to a boat load of bad shots, I have not noticed this with the Bold's. If anything I feel as if I can swing as hard as I like and the ball will jump into the air and land with a great amount of spin. I am still very happy with these wedges, just taking longer to get used to.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I agree about the weight distribution and how it feels, I notice the weight more on the downswing especially just before contact, feels as if the club head drops into the proper spot on contact. I cant comment on wether there is an imbalance to the weight distribution, but i am sure that I like how the club feels and am getting used to the weight.

Number 8 Ryoma
akapur replied to Craig's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech Gearmine is also paired with the CB-46 which allows me to really attack the ball on the downswing with the knowledge this head shaft combo will find the fairway.

Utility shaft?
I found this works great with hybrids. I have it in my Geotech Hybrid and love the weight and feel. Graphite Design Tour AD DI UT 75gram, stiff flex

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I agree the head feels heavy and that may be due to the imbalance with the shaft. Changing the shaft may create a better balance and feel.

Chris what were you thinking of changing the shafts to. As I have also found the shaft to be a bit heavy and the grip to thin. Ashim

Fujikura MCI
The steelfibers have decrease my dispersion pattern significantly I went from Dynamic Gold S300 to Recoils to Areotech Steelfibers. Working with my fitter the steelfibers had the smallest dispersion pattern with no loss in distance. The feedback was as good as steel shafts without the muted feeling the Recoils were giving me. The switch as helped my aching Left elbow as there is also less vibration during impact.

Added 2 new putters to my collection - Bettenardi & Whitlam
My putter is 34 inches with the stock thin grip. Head is 360 gram which gives it a D7 swing weight. I feel the weight is fine for me. The Grip is something I may change to a fuller size, which would also effect the overall SW. Hope that helps Ashim
